With quality running back available in the middle rounds of most draft years, why use multiple draft assets on an existing running back. Especially if it is for one year. The three I was thinking of was Winfield, Gilmore, and Nate Clements. Clements may not hav been an all-pro, but he was good for us and I hated to see him go. I agree. It is absurd to expect him to be a finished product in two years. It may take four or five years to see his full potential. Some quarterbacks have taken longer to blossom.
