  1. this^ kirby put it more detailed explanation, so we'll leave it at that.
  2. so then it would be hard to evaluate a new O when you're not seeing it, would be my assumption?
  3. it was my understanding very little of the new O was even shown in preseason?
  4. he did not. but EJ and Tuel both had great preseason games if I recall. a good example of why one should never take preseason for anything other than what it is. vanilla scheme scrimmages and nothing more than the coaches evaluating players they intend to keep on the roster. peterman, who started off as a third stringer, did work hard and earned the back up position. I have to give him props for that.
  5. after 45 years, why stop now?
  6. he would have to throw 3 picks and fumble twice. he's not getting yanked.
  7. I wouldn't waste your time, you're talking to a wall. talk about hell bent. I want to see the rookie as well yet I agree with you, it's taylors job to lose, or keep? that's just common sense.
  8. glad they added taylor to the list. this is his last hurrah.
  9. and you are? no, you're not. since peterman had such a stellar preseason you have jumped ship on a guy you propped up all off season. I was simply adding to yet another of your many posts on the subject, that preseason is not enough to be so high on the rookie or, in your case give up on the starter, which you have done. I understand, you're desperate as most are for a QB so putting all your hope in to the rookie while believing he is the long term answer is no surprise
  10. I replied to your recent takes, you want me to go back and review your past takes, I'm not going to do that. so carry on fig, I think were done here.
  11. no I don't really. just an observation and reply to your most recent post(s) with some interesting takes by yourself.
  12. see, your basing preseason to cast doubt, just as you're using the same preseason to claim the kid may be the long term future? I questioned taylor and praised the kid but I also realized neither could be properly evaluated based off preseason? preseason!!
  13. long term future? honestly, you're putting the cart way before the horse here. you can not base a thorough evaluation or determine where the kid will be in the future based off 3 preseason games, you can't. now if you were to put it more in a wishful line of thinking it would seem more appropriate at this juncture. you were pretty high on taylor and had basically the same expectations. I too am curious to see what the kid can bring to the table if taylor were to fail but even then I see peterman as nothing more than a back up and their future starter will likely be drafted in 2018. what are you going to do if taylor lights it up and peterman doesn't even see the field? you still going to be calling for peterman? not saying it will happen but that's the point, we have no clue at this point and unless he is not cleared, taylor will start.
  14. pretty dramatic post. funny how someones opinion can bring one to such disgust, over a football player.
  15. well since neither are tom brady who can make a scrub off the street look elite, I tend to agree. but I would not necessarily use that as an excuse. a good QB can and has succeeded with sup par talent so if they fail to have any success it would be more on the shoulders of the QB. zay jones may be no sammy but in time he could make fans forget all about watkins and be a vital asset to the QB and team? I think those who feel losing sammy was the worst case scenario may end up being surprised. also, watkins couldn't stay healthy and beane was not willing to give up a big contract to an injury prone wr?
  16. using the last two seasons with different OC's is not a fair assessment of what he will be working with going forward. it could be top 5, 10 or could drop? it all depends on how taylor adjusts to rico and his scheme. yes, he has worked with him in the past and that could be an advantage but taylor still needs to make the passes. it was the run game that mainly contributed to those top 10 offenses. if he looked lost in a vanilla offense there should be reason to question as to whether he can manage the plays that will obviously be much different than what we saw in preseason. I want to see him succeed but if he shows any signs of struggling in game one, why should anyone be confident that he improves going forward? the pressure is on him to succeed, his leash should be very short? I believe that that lack of confidence from some is why they would like to see the rookie get his opportunity. if they both fail then they know that it will be evident they draft the QB of the future in 2018? 5 days
  17. I see the TT defense is still strong. all I can say is he better come out of the gate and put the offense on his shoulders and throw passes all over the field and win game one. he doesn't do that, what will the excuses be? how can one determine this is a top 10 offense when they've yet to play a single game?
  18. you know, when I looked at your name just now, I couldn't help but think about this theme. as for playoff wins, can't say I don't agree, none. but he is the last to help get them there, back to back seasons. surfer I can't keep my shoe on boy started 7 games (4-3) to fluties 25 starts (17-8) yet they started johnson at tenn and haven't seen the post season since. maybe they thought rob could win the tenn game since he did so well in his 7 starts?
