  1. Disagree. The difference between the Bills and Chiefs in the playoffs has been guys like Chris Jones and Karlaftis - guys who get after the passer. Mahomes didn't lose a beat after Tyreek Hill left. Kelce and D-Hop were not difference makers tonight. Juju put up numbers - and is usually mocked around here. Hollins had nearly as many yards as the almighty Xavier Worthy. The Bills took a big swing with Von a few years ago and it didn't produce the expected results, but that's the type of impact player(s) we need.
  2. Second year in a row a Bills receiver didn't come down with a catchable ball in a critical situation against the Chiefs in the playoffs. IMO the throw was more difficult than the catch. Then again we saw Andrews miss a catchable ball last week. Sh!t happens.
  3. Are you proposing the trade route or outright cut?
  4. I'll go you one better. I would have signed up for that at half time when the only KC drive that didn't end with a TD was due to their botched RPO/handoff - just outside of the red zone.
  5. The well-coached (and more talented) playoff teams knew that was our trend and adjusted. We didn't counter - except for Josh's dive over the top.
  6. I'm all for doing the same thing over and over and over until the other team stops it. From what I saw, the Ravens started to make it look less than automatic and for sure tonight KC did. In the regular season Josh would make it a yard or more past the mark. Last week and tonight it wasn't the gimme it was regular season and actually got stopped.
  7. I don't disagree, but where I was going was maybe they could have a short yardage play that isn't always "Josh go get it".
  8. At the risk of disparaging the fairer sex, even my wife was questioning why they kept going back to the same play. It just wasn't the automatic play that it was in the regular season. And when they mixed it up and Josh went over the top it was nearly a fumble.
  9. Where I'll disagree is it's not just this fanbase - from what I've seen it's the majority of the football watching public. Was at a HS football game in the fall and less than 5 minutes into the game a guy sitting next to me was livid over the refs spotting the ball. And the plays weren't even first down or not spots. Folks are hyper focused on the refs. I thought we should've gotten the first down call on review and looking back at the 3rd down play it never should have come down to it. But the bigger issue to me was the over-reliance on Josh on 4th and short when it was getting stuffed going back to last week so I get your point.
  10. The thought of KC winning another is nauseating and rooting for the Eagles has no appeal whatsoever. But I've watched every SB since I started watching football and this year will be no different. But I'll be most interested in the pools I'm in.
  11. 100% At the same time I know that by around 10 PM I'll either be floating on cloud 9 or completely dejected.
  12. My next day started with the NY Times shading the Bills and Josh through one of their daily puzzles. https://www.nytimes.com/athletic/connections-sports-edition D!cks.
  13. Who knew that we'd get threads like this before the season started and most thought this was a reset year? Good times.
  14. Doves Dark Chocolate
  15. On one hand I agree with the sentiment that winning the SB is the ultimate goal and what matters most - well beyond any other individual accolade. However equating a league MVP award to a participation trophy is beyond stupid.
  16. What's stopping you from doing both?
  17. My favorite part of the past week is wifey's perspective. She's on edge. I've spent the better part of my life living and dying with the Bills successes and failures on my own. I didn't push the Bills on my boys (18 and 22) but was thrilled when it took. As the Bills and Josh started their ascent I think my wife felt left out and started to get invested. Now she's all in. It helps that Josh, the team and the fan base are so solid. It's been great to have the fam share my love of the Bills with all of the highs and lows that come with it. My wife would fit right in with the bi-polar game day thread posts. Good times. Go Bills!
  18. To me he was a compiler and never a truly dominant player. I want Hall of Famers to be iconic, no-doubters. It's subjective and fun to debate. Years ago there was a poster who was very knowledgeable about baseball who mocked me when I said I thought Yadier Molina would be a HOFer. Different strokes for different folks. The real tragedy to me is that I've never been to Cooperstown. Incomprehensible.
  19. I've said it before, I'm a tough grader when it comes to the HOF. I wouldn't put Wagner in and definitely not Franco. The fact that it took 10 years for Wagner to get in speaks volumes to me. Great player, just not a HOFer in my eyes.
  20. So is your opinion that the posting on that site is classy? From what I've read few if any here are disparaging the Chiefs fan base, just the posting of the fans on that site. Is that a go-to board for you?
  21. Apart from the song and video itself, what made it worse for me is that it came from a band that I liked years before it came out.
  22. To each their own - and I mean that sincerely. I have no doubt there's a lot of music I like that others can't stand.
  23. My sons high school marching band was sizable and every year the half-time show was impressive. I'll never forget my eldest coming home with the music freshman year and the closing song was Karn Evil 9. Awesome. Other years they played music I didn't care for (Pit Bull, Avicii) and it was still great. Good times. Back to the thread, here's a song that was pretty popular that I could never stomach: Shout, shout , let it all out. This is a song I could live without!
