8 almost made the bingo card! I had Bledsoe jerseys for me and the boys...which nearly morphed into Roscoe Parrish. Would've included 11 if I remembered RJ, must be a lot of 11's out there.
-
Fred Jackson was a recent hand me down to my youngest and I was explaining to him why the jersey was still legit (unlike previous ones like #99, #13,...)
-
96? In hindsight, one that I missed was Taken Spikes #51
-
This thread was inspired by Virgil's closet, Yolo's Peterman Bingo thread and trying to figure out which Bills jersey to buy my son for Christmas. The #99 jersey just went out of style, decided to go the safe route and went with #12. Check your closet and memory. Can you hit Bingo with Bills jerseys you've purchased? For the record, I couldn't but I left off a few numbers from my purchase history in favor of numbers i thought might have been more popular.

Was the move at QB a good move or bad move?
SinceThe70s replied to Mike in Horseheads's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
You lost me. TT lost his job from Sunday night to Wednesday. I was referring to lack of uproar from everyone else on the team. Maybe the locker room is OK with the switch. Fear of losing your job (starting or otherwise) is endemic to the NFL. If that's bad leadership then a lot of teams have problems. -
Was the move at QB a good move or bad move?

EDIT: misread NewEra's reference to the Chargers D, thought he meant ours Agreed with everything except for the unbolded which I'm not sure about. Our run D has been shredded to the tune of around 500 yards in 2 games since 99 problems was jettisoned. Is that a coincidence? Maybe. Hopefully. The current staff has made a number of bold moves. The timing of this one was surprising to me since (as NewEra mentioned) we're in playoff position and personally I'd give Tyrod a pass on the Jets game. Overall I like the decisiveness of the current regime, I'll have to wait to judge their effectiveness. Back to OP's question. Was this a good or bad move? I'm a wait and see guy, but unless I missed it there hasn't been a major uproar from the players which may be telling. So I'll go with good move until proven otherwise. -
I think their vision involves decisions they know will be unpopular with large portions of the fan base and so they are not willing to outline what the vision/plan is. Which is frustrating when we get blind-sided by moves like the Watkins trade. As fans we're left looking at individual moves and trying to figure how they fit into the vision/plan that we aren't privy to.

How in the world is Mike Trout part of your plan? -
Not a TBD name but how about "Icy McIceFace". And if that doesn't work just go with Attenborough.

Early Aerosmith could go toe to toe with any rock band. Personally, I'm partial to Rocks, an all-time great album.

That was slamming! Always liked that song, can't remember last time I heard it. Love when a cover can be true to the original and breathe new life into it at the same time.

GDT: TNF Seahawks at Cardinals

I don't believe for a second that the fix is in, but a blocked PAT at 22-16 with a 5 1/2 point spread would be pretty suspicious to the conspiracy crowd. -
No idea what to think of this saints game
SinceThe70s replied to Steptide's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Around 1994 or so, my company sent me to work down in the DC area for the better part of a year. Met and worked with a guy that was from N.O. and a huge Saints fan going back to the Archie days. I haven't seen him since but we've stayed in contact through email mostly in season and around the draft. His thoughts on Sunday: Saints D is for real. Our running game is impressive. Our passing game can be explosive. Brees is playing smart ball. Our special teams are scoring their own points. Your Bills are gonna kill us. If you can play their QB this week in fantasy you will get monster points. We are due for a collapse. Woe is us. I think I'll eat some worms. -

Saints have won 6 straight. Due for a loss. And we're just the guys to do it. -
Scheme and talent go hand in hand. In a perfect world you have both great scheme and talent. Most teams don't. It's an interesting point that a new coaches scheme may get figured out after some initial success, but in the end any good coach will need to adjust scheme in-game and in-season and to a lesser extent off-season. I hope we found that coach. Off-season is the time to improve the talent to fit the scheme (and/or tweak it). IMO we made a rare significant in-season addition adding Benjamin. I'm optimistic that will keep this season on an upward trajectory. Go Bills!

Hometown players, should it effect drafting?
SinceThe70s replied to The Now Moment's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I think its more of a factor for established players later in their careers. Lechler (yeah I know, a punter) did it after years with Oakland and Marshawn did it coming back to his home town after semi-retirement. I think a player coming off his rookie contract is looking for the dollars first and home town second. -

Well then I guess you don't feel sorry for me. As I said, I do think of the past, present and future, I just focus most on the present. -
What is your favorite Buffalo Bills memory?
SinceThe70s replied to Canadian Bills Fan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I'll bet some people have great memories of the 2003 yard season. I followed it through the newspapers. Anyway, just sad that an all-time great is (and should be) an after-thought. -
Great song, still gets some love. I've seen it covered by Gov't Mule and Magpie Salute in the past few years. Mule was kind enough to precede it with One Of These Days.

What is your favorite Buffalo Bills memory?

Unless I missed another post, I think this is the first OJ reference. From a selfish Bills fan perspective it sucks that his accomplishments as a Bill can no longer be enjoyed. -

I read a book once that categorized people based on their main focus: past, present and future. Thought that was a cool perspective and I know people I can put in each category. Me, I'm present focused. We are 5-3, but coming off a demoralizing loss and what matters most to me is Sunday and getting back on track. Doesn't mean that I dismiss the gloom and doom of the past 17 years or that it doesn't creep into my present day mind set. It does. Also doesn't mean that I dismiss winning the AFC East or making the playoffs as a possibility either because of the Pats sustained success, the schedule ahead or any other reason. Also doesn't mean I can't envision winning the AFC East or making the playoffs. Winning or losing on Sunday will not clinch or eliminate us from the post-season. So present day guy says win Sunday! Because it would be better than losing. EDIT: oops...to answer the OP's question: it's too early to talk Wild Card. Why sell ourselves short?
