Opeth is the only band with the Cookie Monster vocals that I've ever listened to repeatedly. Ghosts of Perdition is an all time great song. Not buying into the I.N.C/Ramones comparison, but any Ramones reference is fine by me. I've probably posted this, but here's another great punkish cover of a classic: And since we're on the subject of punk bands and this site is Buffalo based....is anyone aware that the Goo Goo Dolls started off punk - even had a Ramones themed song - Don't Beat My @ss (With a Baseball Bat) - homage to Beat On The Brat. Regardless early Goo Goo is a far cry from Iris:

My fave PT song and fave Umphreys mash-up.

Love love love both UFO and Scorps. Although the Scorps World Wide Live album came off as an over-produced sell out to me (saw them twice on that tour and they were great). Anyway, to each their own, but I'm not on board with 70's Aerosmith being musical sheisters, what they became doesn't define what they were for me.

Had high hopes for Billy Squier based on the first song I heard. Never lived up to the hopes but had some good songs.

Any love for pre-80's Aerosmith? IMO, they were bad-@ss in the 70's and then tapered off in the early/mid 80's.

Who's on your Mt. Rushmore of Physical Comedy?

Three Stooges defines the list for me. The Looney Toons folks deserve a mention: Bugs, Daffy, Wile E Coyote, Elmer Fudd,... Afaik, Chevy Chase's career started with SNL pratfalls. And Kramer (Michael Richards) is worth mentioning too. -
...or they have a rep for being repetitively/incessantly negative about the Bills on a Bills fan site. Not saying that's the case here, but I'm fine with bringing the hate in that situation. On the other hand, the main reason I come here is to hear from folks that think differently then me.

2024 New York Yankees..........on to the World Series for 41st time

Not sure when you posted this but Boone eventually pulled him from the game. Pretty sure Boone has been Gleyber's manager his entire career. If Gleyber is as lazy/undisciplined as I read - it's an incredibly bad look for Boone as a manager. Disclosure: I'm a Mets fan, I try to avoid biased posts but I'm human. -
A reminder why you should mind your own damn business

A few years ago they put speed cameras in school zones in our neighboring county. It was a big money-maker but the program was short-lived once the county officials realized they had no shot at getting re-elected unless they cancelled the program. -
Is it me or is the trade deadline becoming less and less relevant as the years go by? A few factors imo: expanded playoff field results in less teams that give up on their season. Long term constracts lessen the pool of high-end players in their walk year.

Glad you both had a great time! The Sunday game was epic, you sold it a little short - Lindor's go ahead 2 RBI came with two outs and the bases loaded. Good times. Meanwhile I just got back from vacay and for the second straight year the Mets had a winning streak while I was away. We had the good fortune of watching the better part of both Yankee games and Laureano's debacle for the Braves. Things were looking great on Friday until Senga went down. Why can't we have nice things? Interested to see what moves we make tomorrow. Winker is a nice upgrade over Stewart who unfortunatly turned into Vogelbach v2.0.

I'm amazed on two levels: that he remained in the game is one - that he is still in the big leagues AND on a contending team is even more amazing. As a Met he was beyond useless, my lasting memory is McCann as a batter grabbing his crotch between most pitches. -
The Southwest Airlines miracle flights. Half the passengers need wheelchairs when they board but are miraculously cured upon arrival and no longer need wheelchairs.

A number of years ago we took a New England cruise that included a stop in Halifax. We did an excursion from Halifax to Peggy's Cove and I thought the landscape was stunning and unique. I've also driven the Maine coast north to south starting from Calais Maine and that was also amazing. On the other hand the drive from south to north through the middle of Maine to get to Calais was mostly boring.

I watched the Bob Newhart show growing up and remember Mr. Carlin being a favorite character. Then in college I heard about the 'Hi Bob' drinking game. I've heard countless variations since. Our hockey variation was 'bowls for goals'. We joked about 'shots for shots' but that was a non-starter. Fast forward to having kids and Bob showed up in Elf and then the boys got older and he showed up in Big Bang Theory. Last year they were telling me about Super Bpwl drinking games centered around camera shots of Taylor Swift and I explained that from my perspective it all started with 'Hi Bob'. Good times.

On the other hand, hearing her explanation reminded of some awful karaoke singers that I've encountered so it made sense. Whatever the case may be I feel bad for her. It was epically bad, hope she gets a chance to redeem herself. -
