  1. For the national media the Bills peaked in 2020 at the AFC Championship. For the national media the Bills have only been subtracted from. The 2023 draft additions do not count. It is impossible to fathom Kincaid can be an All-Pro. It is inconceivable that Torrence can be an All-Pro. Only Sauce Gardener can be a rookie All-Pro. Only the New York Jets can take an aged soon to be 40 year old QB and turn him into the next coming of the GOAT.
  2. Beane has draft average overall. He also has done a great job at bringing in seemingly good FAs. 2023 might be Beane’s masterclass if the acquisitions help fuel a Super Bowl run.
  3. Look at the 2019-2022 drafts and count the picks and see who is still on the team.
  4. Beane has missed on 14 of 31 picks from 2019-2022. If Elam is traded as many on here seem to be clamoring for, that’s 15 of 31. Meanwhile the Chiefs missed on 6 of 28, and the Bengals 9 of 33. Beane traded away our 2020 Round 1 pick for Diggs and that appeared teetering off a cliff 30 days ago. Let’s be real here fellas: Beane has missed on a good number of picks. The miss percentage is unacceptable if we are to ever contend with the Chiefs and Bengals. Is it McDermott pulling a Shanahan and not wanting to give guys on the job training? IE: is there an unknown big divide between Beane and McDermott on personnel that has gone unreported? Elam a trade candidate? Isabella over Shakir? Bernard not the starting MLB? If so it seems like 2022 was a complete bust. The 2023 draft looks promising if Kincaid gets serious PT and Torrence plays.
  5. The way I see it: Bills, Jets, Fins, Pats.
  6. Alex Van Pelt was a true clipboard holder. We need a good one like him.
  7. Jake Fromm State Farm hitting the streets?
  8. McDermott is to Elam, what Shanahan was to Lance. Coaches who overruled their GMs and were unwilling to develop a 1st rounder. Also the GMs drafted based on raw talent and ability, whereas the coaches respective philosophical offensive/defensive system means scheme fit, not talent is paramount. Also two coaches who have been deep in the playoffs but have never won a championship.
  9. Roster manipulation is key.
  10. Early in games on early downs he needs to be patient and take what the defense is giving up.
  11. I think Allen sometimes likes to hold on to the ball and see what will develop when there are times he has 1-2 guys open underneath early.
  12. To the trade him now geniuses: yeah let’s trade a guy who is under contract the next 3-4 seasons and is also 5-6 years younger than our aging and sometimes injured presumed starters.
  13. The tone was set by mostly solid OL play and RBs running hard.
  14. Not every defender is in man. Rush 4 vs 6 (5 OL + 1 QB). Cover 7 vs 5. Man 5 use 2 safeties to play robber or cloud over the 2 fastest vertical threats
  15. You must have grown up in a bubble this is common practice in ghettos, barrios and Appalachia.
  16. The question is can the pass rush get home in 2.5 seconds the length of time Purdy and the Shanahan offense want to get the ball out? Purdy stats completion %, TDs to Picks, plummet past 2.5 seconds. Elam, Taron, Tre could cover anyone on the 49ers for 2.5-3 seconds. Neal, Rapp, Lewis, Dane & Benford 2-2.5 seconds. Milano, Hyde, Poyer, Bernard can stick with a man 2 seconds.
  17. Good to see Vick at practice. Every player should know his story and why they should avoid making the same poor decisions.
  18. He’s getting to the age - 25 - where it’s put up or shut up time. You can’t wait on a guy to hit 30.
  19. You can. Too many defensive weapons. Remember the pass rush needs 2-3 seconds to destroy the QB. Good defenders can stick with a man for 3 seconds. That means Purdy is getting hit on nearly every pass.
  20. There have been some great players who if not for the injury bug could have been some of the best players in the game.
  21. Murph is a great on the radio. Miss him.
  22. Purdy can only be exposed if teams start playing more man defense and find the stones to man mark Kittle and McCaffery. You don’t stop the 49ers offense by playing a soft cover 2 or cover 3 zone. You have 5-6 who are capable of manning up their 5 weapons. You dominate them, and turn your front 5 after Purdy and pound him into the turf.
  23. I assume we will know soon if surgery is required. Hopefully it’s a minor sprain.
  24. Lots of respect for him as a cancer survivor.
  25. Now do the Chiefs & Bengals. I’ll save you time - they have killed Beane in the draft since 2019. Hence why we have plateaued and they are the only two teams in the AFC who have beaten us in the playoffs. If Beane hits higher than 17/31 picks drafted since 2019-2022 still on team we are hoisting a Lombardi.
