Allen was 8/10 in the 2nd half. Narrowly missing Diggs to make it 9/10. The 1st half started 0/7, finished 7/13. Probably 3-4 drops. Working in condensed space in Pats RZ. I don’t consider finishing 15/23 all that bad.
I prefer not modeling my offense around a 5’7” slot WR whose only route was identifying and sitting in the soft part of a zone, catching the ball and diving to the ground.
Beane has left the offensive skill positions lacking. Allen has WRs getting little to no separation and he’s an open window thrower. I’m fine with McDermott if he doesn’t block WRs from being drafted. McDermott - Beane have to identify and develop a WR 1. Otherwise they will be done.
2nd half 8/10
1st half 7/20
1st half issues; 3/4 drops, Kincaid slips in end zone, working in condensed space vs a top 5 defense. Ok. Just limit TOs and take the points.
I gotta give my offensive game ball to Diggs & Davis. No credit but their presence was felt.
On D shout out to Poyer & Hyde. Some shaky veteran moments early on, but settled in with their usual result. Huge game next week that will test them yet again.
Saturday is great and if I’m the Ravens I prefer the Steelers over the Bills in the tournament. If we win, the Ravens will be forced to play for pride. Great teams hate losing any games. Too competitive.
I was convinced the fins would tank vs Dallas and Baltimore and come into our game healthier with a 3 week rest. Now the fins only incentive is to win and guarantee with the 2 seed they can get 2 home games.
I see the Ravens backups and assuming a few starters on the lines could do to the Steelers what the Steelers did to us at the end of the 2004 season. Unknowns like Willie Parker and James Harrison beat our starters in Buffalo.
I like our chances down in Miami. If we lose we will have just lost to the team that got dog walked in Baltimore, and scrapped to beat a Dallas team we blew out. We beat a more healthy Miami team 48-20 14 weeks ago. This is a team asking to get blown out.
