  1. The reality is Josh is performing nearly at the same level while the defense is battered and injured. Has Allen played without the top 3 players on defense?
  2. I think Allen is playing up to his 2020 and beyond level. You really can't ask more of Allen outside of asking him to run the ball.
  3. I've said this before and I'll say it again, Dorian & Kaiir are the youngest players on this roster. I'd prefer them both playing, learning on the job, as their draft position and athleticism are far superior to their replacements. Will they make mistakes? Of course, but you want them learning now, the time is now, rather than letting them come in the roster after a lesser talented veteran suffers injury. Many have argued this team isn't going anywhere. You can't replace the entire roster in a season. Better to see what these guys are made of and give them experience and possibly confidence going forward.
  4. Honestly McDermott could have elected to call a timeout to help Bass when the winds started gusting before the kick. Another issue was Martin's spot. Upon replay it showed not the ideal placement of the ball as Bass' foot contacted the ball. Unlike an ideal place kick the ball wasn't hit in the sweet spot due to poor placement (ball looked angled to the left) / caused either by a bad snap or Martin hold miscue. Bass reaction points to displeasure in the hold and / or disbelief in the wind. Clearly if the wind speed was 0 mph you can get by with this effort. But when weather is a factor the snap, hold, and kick timing have to be in-sync. At the moment the ball left Bass foot you can see the typical end over end vertical 90°, was more a 75° end over end rotation. This causes the ball to take on more angular rotation and any gusts are going to affect the ball after it reaches maximum velocity and height. Norwood's kick was a perfect end over end, but his hips did not rotate. Bass kick was heading straight until the ball speed slowed and the wobbling of the ball caused by bad hold wind speed caused the ball to sail right.
  5. Right now it seems to me that Allen is getting his stats with 4th quarter comebacks after slow starts due to poor execution of the designed and scripted offense that begins the game. Perhaps Allen should call his own plays in a stripped down no-huddle high tempo offense. Peyton Manning was able to do this and wasn't Einstein. Is Allen smart enough to call his own plays?
  6. Bills rushing totals so far in 2023: 35/183 33/168 29/104 29/128 24/81 22/97 14/29 Guess which are the 3 losses.
  7. Shakir lacks RAC, but he does catch virtually every ball when targeted. Kincaid too. The two laggards, Davis & Knox need less targets and snaps.
  8. This a good point. I think if Bass had made that one FG and you were a FG wins, then you do burn clock. Being that you were down 18-22 you a zero margin for error, and scoring a TD was the right decision, regardless of clock. And you prefer a 2nd and goal from the 1’ line. The Offense needs to score more than 25 to win if the D and ST get rolled.
  9. Belichick with a bit of gamesmanship per usual with his 17 players injury report. Keep ‘em guessing.
  10. Scrap 12 for 11. And play Kincaid 90% of those snaps in 11 or more. Knox is a blocker and RZ only target. He’s just not good between the 20s.
  11. The guy is 34 coming off major knee ligament reconstruction 10 months ago. I bet it takes 3-6 more weeks until he’s back to being Von Miller.
  12. Flush it. Von will get stronger, Floyd’s foot will heal, Oliver will be back. Heck maybe Jones or Milano come back in January. At this point we are in a for a wild ride. This is what makes it a week by week league. Don’t be scared. Strap up!
  13. Today Allen looked off. He was 29/41 with some bad misses. He’s gotta hit Diggs on that deep shot. He’s gotta get the checkdown to Murray or Kincaid and get off his first read on that 1st pass. He needs to play smarter and trust his eyes.
  14. He played a very bad game. 1/5 6 yards is basically a no show. The all 22 will show more.
  15. Imagine having this goal and Mahomes blows out his ACL next week. Play the whole season out. No tanking, no excuses.
  16. Dorsey - as the offense may only look good after the plan is scraped.
  17. I like where we are at. A wounded team with a chip on their shoulders. Let the doubters doubt. The Bills should use all the shade that’s coming their way as fuel. Play angry, violent and with aggressiveness.
  18. Dolphins 5-2, Bills 4-3. Great outcome today. We have confirmation the Dolphins defense is trash. The Eagles provided another example of the Dolphins coming up small in big games.
  19. Just throw the ball to Kincaid as often as Mahomes does to Kelce. I see no difference.
  20. Player of the game would be Kincaid, Cook then Poyer.
  21. Allen did throw a horrible pick that led to a TD, and a 10-0 hole. You can’t throw picks like that and expect to win. Throw in Bass’ shanked FG and we were totally off.
  22. The final drive was our defense not making a tackle and not having play recognition. Milano is on the field he makes a play on Stevenson. It’s about experience as much as it is about execution.
  23. Last year we were healthy until we weren’t. This year the injury bug struck early. I have no problem with anything at this juncture. The team is on pace for a 10-11 win season. All I care about is effort and execution. Effort has been there. Execution has been off as of late. Allen has to play better earlier. If Allen is ever going to win a championship he needs to do better than he did today. That 1st throw pick was weak and not deserving of MVP conversation. Bottomline it’s a QB driven league, and Allen needs to play at an MVP player.
