Ramsay said we ran same play to other side a few plays earlier & they were playing 10 yards off. So he recognized formation, route & drove on the ball. Dennison should have dialed up a SLUGO, Stop & GO route, thinking Ramsay would bite on the pump & Thompson selling the underneath action.

A better question? What the hell was Thompson doing not driving back to the ball? Also body positioning? Why did #10 not angle himself between ball & defender like a basketball box out so if Ramsey did drive on the ball the only way he makes the pick is by going thru the body which would have been defensive pass interference?

If someone would have told me the winning QB would have had 88 yards rushing, I wouldn have really liked our chances. That said, I didn’t see enough from the offense to warrant keeping Tyrod around outside of potentially making him earn the starting job in the offseason & preseason if he were to retained at a reasonable figure bottom 25% starting QB $.

Oh I meant to say Bortles made way more plays with his legs than Tyrod. To the point going in you forget that Bortles is a quality threat as a runner. Bortles singlehandedly beat the Bills today with his scrambling ability.

Fairly accurate with the exception of saying Taylor would make plays with his legs. Bortles clearly won that competition and did enough with his passing (not turning it over) to be the difference. And that’s what it came down to; Bortles rushing, and limiting his mistakes. And in the rare event Bortles mishandled a snap, does anyone remember the ball hitting the ground and Bortles scooping it up and running for a 1st Down on a key 2nd & long from deep in his endzone?
