  1. This will certainly help Allen’s completion percentage.
  2. Looks like we get 6 wins, although I wanted 5 for draft position. Oh well. At least we get to watch a good ending to our season. Hope everyone makes it out healthy. And nice crushing block by Logan.
  3. If your argument is Kyle Williams is not as good as Aaron Donald fine. No he’s not. But think of it this way, how many DTs play 13 seasons, go to 5 pro bowls? Most DTs are out of league in 2-3 seasons. Williams was a beast & model of longevity at a position where people fade fast. He’s a great all around athlete, leader and good dude. Hard to find guys like him who are the whole package.
  4. Whatever happened to Michael Jasper? The 500 pound behemoth.
  5. Two surgeries & lots of blacked out late afternoons.
  6. I’ll look to one statistic to check for Allen’s progression and that is completion percentage. They say the pro game is harder than college and the numbers bear that out, he’s gone from 56.2% in college to 51.7%. I never thought I’d say this about a QB but he needs to hit his checkdown more, while also getting the ball out faster as opposed to always trying to hit the homerun.
  7. He’s a dirty mofo, but we all know this. Luckily for us “the process” preaches no retribution for cheapshots.
  8. No. Peterman did THAT to himself. ??‍♂️
  9. THC & CBD work better than opioids.
  10. He’d be a good coach.
  11. For me it’s Allen’s eagerness to Ad-lib & scramble instead of sometimes taking the easy dump off pass that Brady has so effectively done since 2001. I’m wondering if PFF has an accuracy chart on all throws where Allen stays in the pocket and on throws when he is forced or chooses to leave the pocket. To me much of his value is outside the pocket throwing on the run or after he resets his feet on the perimeter. If he takes some easy gimmes his accuracy will only go up.
  12. Not a cop out. I believe Allen’s leadership, competitiveness and intangibles are way beyond EJ’s. But all those things mean nothing unless he improves in year 2. I don’t believe they’ll bring in a QB in the draft or FA. It will be interesting to see if Allen makes an actual statistical improvement in year 2. There are arguments that can be made to support improvement, regression, or a plateau. Can we all agree he must improve his completion percentage? Accuracy aside people need to start catching greater than 50% of his pass attempts.
  13. At this point I want everyone to come out healthy and play well, just not well enough to win. You don’t care about the preseason do you?
  14. EJ’s first season is about equal statistically to Allen’s. The question is what happens in year 2?
  15. Me neither unless Allen is able to make a huge year 2 leap or our OL does what NE’s did to us this past Sunday.
  16. His legs are starting to go. Your body starts to slow, nerves, reaction time, reflexes. The hits accumulate. I suppose he can aim to throw backwards instead of the usual dink and dunk.
  17. I think McCoy will be back in 2019 but in a 3rd down back receiving role. We do need an all purpose bruiser in the mold of Leveon Bell. In addition our OL has been terrible. We need an All-Pro type at G & RT and things will improve.
  18. Everything stems on Allen. They have no hedge outside of Matt Barkley,
  19. I’m tired of excuses like this. Baker Mayfield & Sam Darnold have at times looked the part of a franchise QB. Lamar Jackson is the best athletic QB. We have at best the #4 QB in the draft & there is easily a 50/50 chance Allen totally busts in 2019. How much better can a 50% passer get in year 2 assuming we bring in a rookie WR & TE? I don’t want to sound the alarm, but this regime likely has 16 to 32 games until a new one is brought in to attempt another ‘rebuild’. We play the NFC East & AFC North next year. That’s a tough climb. Road games at Dallas, Cleveland, & Pittsburgh. What’s the rosiest early predictions on 2019? 7-9?
  20. Also Gronkowski. He’s only 29 but looks like a slumbering slow tight end. He almost resembles an OLineman Tackle eligible going out for routes. His name makes him a decent decoy but he looks like he’s finished.
  21. Preston will never come back. He’s not good enough & doesn’t make impact plays.
  22. KB dropped a contested pass on a slant in the end zone yesterday. It went between his hands and hit his shoulder pads. Any way you slice it KB has regressed into a subpar WR. He’s just not getting it done.
  23. I prefer a loss to Miami.
  24. Our guys can’t tackle. Period.
  25. At this point Allen is a sub .50 passer with limited ability to read defense & make accurate throw.
