I’m watching because I’m 100% certain Brady won’t win.

Patriots system is superior to the rest of the NFL. But there is one solution, a concerted effort to stop Brady. Clean or not he must be hit early and often. Over the course of a 16 games if every team took that played NE took the Gregg Williams bounty approach NE wouldn’t have this old man on the field. Too many teams want to “kiss the ring”, but forget Edelman & Gronk & many before will act nice before the game, then throw elbows and cheap shots to your body during the course of play. Brady is the focal point & anyone playing “smart” would make an effort to knock him out.

The play of the Rams defense front in particular Donald & Suh will decide the outcome of SB 53.

He’s an expensive blocking TE.

He’s gone from a DT, to a STer, to DE/OLB. Who knows maybe he drops a few more lbs & plays S this year.

Small slot receivers are great but I’ve seen too many checkdown QBs become too reliant on that outlet. In the case of Josh Allen I think that wouldn’t be an issue as he needs to learn to get the ball out faster against blitz packages.

At the game

I knew he was a good athlete and could run, what I didn’t think was that his running would be so efficient. We knew he was inaccurate and he certainly way. What I didn’t expect was his accuracy to drop 6%. His ability to throw on the run was impressive. His command of the huddle and presence wasn’t expected. He outperformed my expectations, but he has a long way to go.

He needs to hit the weight room and add some explosive power to his legs & improve his upper body strength. These are great numbers but imagine if he continues to physically develop.

We struggled mightily against run heavy fronts. It always amazes me when a team goes with two blocking TEs or an extra OL we keep our base defense. Any Madden player knows when they put 7 blockers on the line you must use 4 to 5 DL & at least 4 or 3 LBs. You load the box and put a hat on a hat. Staying in the base 4-3 or 3-4 front defense is a recipe for disaster.

He’s a big guy. The stronger the legs. The more power.

At this point I’d be happy with 750.

If our 23 year old athletic QB can’t take down an aging 42 year old QB then Beane & McD have to go. Darnold vs Allen will decide the AFCE next year.

Yes the OLine was a disaster will be interesting to see if the new coach can do. I’m assuming we try to get at least one starter via FA.

He’s a great receiver who has been pretty durable plus his hands are amazing. He’s great, wants to be greater. Good attitude and turns 31 in July so should have much more in the tank. Assume he has 5 more highly productive seasons in him. He’s in the mold of Jerry Rice & other elite level guys so he has the work ethic and talent to play to 40.
