  1. Better question what % of 1st round draft picks that are drafted in the top 10 amount to viable starters. I’d say 1 in 3. The numbers certainly drop from there...
  2. I like Ivory on early downs & McCoy & depending on distance 2nd & 3rd down.
  3. He’s a 22 year old rookie only gonna get better. Patience Daniel Son!
  4. If the report on playing time is serious Kaepernick would be the better veteran. He’s clearly better than Anderson at this point. He’s more mobile than Anderson, and could actually move the offense with ability to execute an RPO offense and his arm is just as strong if not more accurate than Anderson’s. Plus his skill sets are more similar to Allen; stronger arm, running ability. Kaepernick would also be a better mentor than Anderson who is 4.5 years older & clearly out of his prime. There’s not much a 35 year old QB can add to this offense. I understand not wanting the media circus, but going with Anderson speaks of conservative orthodoxy which has plagued this new regime since they took over. In fact the past 20 years have been haunted by rolling out over the hill & brokendown has beens such as Merriman, T.O., Percy Harvin, Vontae Davis to name a few. When was the last time the Bills did something bold that was a net benefit in terms of bringing in a player who added value outside of ‘mentorship’? I really like Lorenzo Alexander but that guy can actually play too. Anyone else? Signing Kaepernick would serve three purposes. A bridge for Allen to develop, mentorship, and would send a message that the Bills franchise is not a calcified backwards thinking conservative organization where deadenders & draftees are waiting out their rookie contracts. Yes that last part is about being bold and visionary. This would also send a message to future FAs that the Bills aren’t what the the media has written about Buffalo being a cold boring wasteland.
  5. We will always have the Minnesota game type years from now.
  6. I think we are all going to enjoy the decline of Tom Brady. Looking at his interception count he’s starting to throw a lot more than his usual single digit mark per season. He’s at 6 in 5 games. Over a season that’d be 19. Still on pace for 38 TDs but the interception count is something to take note of.
  7. I’m curious what our record will be in the next 16 games.
  8. I remember someone saying this about RG3 until his leg was snapped in half. I’d like to see Mahome’s endure a few injuries & see how good he’d look on a gimpy leg like Aaron Rodgers. My thinking is he’d look pedestrian.
  9. Is it me or does this team need to run the ball 60% of the time? I’m talking smash the ball forward for 1-4 yards a time for the games first 3 Qtrs mixing in some play action. Perhaps only until a team is tired can we begin to switch over to the pass & relying on our opponents fatigue which would lead to separation.
  10. Tuel by a mile. For whatever reason Peterman thinks his arm is a canon. At least Tuel knew his limitations.
  11. We couldn’t even score 2 points yesterday so your point is don’t score as much as you can mmmkay.
  12. David Carr wasn’t “ruined” by the franchise. EJ Manuel wasn’t “ruined” by the Bills. Franchise level QBs rise above organizational failures. See Philip Rivers, & Matt Ryan. The Chargers are so bad they switched cities & the Falcons have largely ridden Ryan’s skills to sneak into the playoffs and make one super bowl run. Good franchises with good coaches don’t blow 28-3 leads late in the 3rd Qtr.
  13. There either is; no one open, the line can’t block, the quarterback can’t read defenses, the playcalling is predicatable and easier to defend. I speculate it’s a combination of All of the Above.
  14. Still have to wonder if this was stressed to him when they radioed in the play to him.
  15. When you can’t run the ball or throw the ball to open the run you lose. To me the biggest momentum swing was Allen’s pick which he will learn from. Take a sack or audible to a run and let the clock run out and call a TO to go into halftime down 3-13 instead of 0-16. That’s a 6 point swing that better QB understanding or coaching resolves and makes it a tighter game.
  16. Keep Josh Allen in and let him get some experience running no huddle 2 minute offense.
  17. Looking at Brady’s stats and drive charts they’ve been downright pedestrian on offense. One has to wonder how much it is on the talent around him or a decline in his own skills. I believe he’s averaging only 205 yards passing per game, which is weird because his running game has been far from productive. That means he’s playing from behind more and throwing more but getting little production. Now this could all change with the return of Edelman & addition of Josh Gordon to help open up Gronkowski. Time will reveal if this is Brady starting to deteriorate or simply an early season problem that resolves itself with the addition of more skill players.
  18. If they are dropping passes that’s better than passes airmailed to the defense. Bottom line get some stickum or new receivers willing to catch the ball & don’t short arm bracing for contact. Be brave WRs!
