Every year the salary cap goes up, and we continue to find value via the draft & bringing in quality veterans. The #1 goal is winning. I believe Beane & Co. are correct in their idea that you accumulate draft capital, nail your draft picks, and find team first veterans who want to compete. This team is stacked with those guys. The process is working. Let’s keep it rolling.

You win by taking away the ball & controlling the clock. Jackson isn’t the most accurate QB & with the typical December bad weather; wind, rain, snow, gale force winds, this game will be won in the trenches. Jackson still will be the fastest player but I believe the formula is out there. Invite the Ravens to run in the middle stack players on the OTs and give up the interior. Thinks Star on an island. The Ravens won’t be able to get the edge, and as soon as the ball is snapped the lanes collapse on Jackson / Ingram. Disguising overloads blitzes won’t work. You need to hit them hard and keep hitting them. On offense same thing. This is a game we win if Singletary, Gore & Allen run wild.

If Allen keeps spreading the love around and we get one or two Knox stiff arms, a Mackenzie sweep & catch / some Mackenzie wildcat, a Kroft seam catch, a Foster deep shot, and overall great checkdowns to the backs, I’m all for complimentary players easing the pressure off Beasley & Brown to produce. To me the growth of the offense is in incorporating the other guys in a timely and effective way.

I don’t like prime time games. As a west coaster I’m stuck in traffic and don’t get home until halfway through the 1st Qtr on Monday & Thursday nights.

To me the Play of the OLine & Feliciano in particular stood out. Those guys never get the accolades but they were simply mauling a bigger Denver front 7. They went toe to toe & showed who was boss. If you want to win in the late season this is the type of play you need.

IMHO healthy Foster > healthy Duke. Foster & Duke both are extremely frustrating as they’ve both have now had proven injury issues, and questionable all around WR traits, from football IQ, & ability. There is a huge difference between a top tier NFL WR like John Brown and those guys. Brown brings the complete package. Duke appears to be a body frame catcher unable to create his own separation. Foster appears to simply have blazing straight line speed. They are players that have to be schemes into the offense play. It’s better to have WRs who can fit into any offensive play.
