  1. Brady seems good enough to survive another season and add a 7th ring presuming Gronk & Edelman return. Also NE has the beginnings of a stud RB & elite defense. Their OLine improved & their coaching is superior. Expect a dominant NE until someone finds a way to hurt Brady.
  2. If you get to the Super Bowl 9 times with the same coach chances are play for an elite organization. Belichick even found a way to get to 11 wins with Matt Cassel.
  3. It needs to be implemented. Penalties are non-reviewable which makes them much more important then current plays that can be reviewed. I want the ability to challenge 1 play per drive.
  4. Rams deserves to lose, but this is why challenging penalties or non-penalties must be done. There’s too much riding on the line. I’m willing to lose a few plays per game & perhaps the playclock should be wound down to 35 seconds from 40 to offset.
  5. If I’m Brady I go for ring #7. Now it’s on the Bills to get #1.
  6. Really a non story. Buffalo might have crappy weather but it’s not about the weather for the 99.9% of players who just want to compete for a roster spot. That being said, the better question is do we retain our elite players? How good are we at lifers? Guys like Kyle Williams. I thought Stephon Gilmore didn’t mind Buffalo, but he took more $ to go to a winner. I’ll this forever, no one cares about the weather as long as you’re winning.
  7. We actually won the first half scoring battle in Super Bowl 25 (12-10) & 28 (13-6). Unfortunately we were (7-10) & (0-24),
  8. Patrick Mahomes is worth twice the value of Marcel Dareus. Or Dareus & Mario Williams combine. Mahomes should get a $200 million contract at $40 million per season and $100 million upfront. And by age 29/30 he will sign another $300 million contract. I hope Josh Allen proves he’s worth this kind of $.
  9. What are the odds Belichick & Brady retire if the Patriots win? What are the odds they lose in humiliating fashion & retire? I’m going with a humiliating beat down where they are throughly shutdown by the Rams big boys upfront & Brady ages 5 years in the course of the 1st Qtr. If the Rams win convincingly & Brady plays a horrible game this could be it. So so I’ll go with a Patriots humiliating loss.
  10. It comes down to money. The idea that an insurance company can make someone whole is ludicrous. The better question is what we can do to make the game safer? As a country we have a vested interest to make every sport safer. Injuries are a natural occurrence but there are steps we can take to improve player safety. Its well documented your brain isn’t done developing until your early 20s. You’d hate to see this, but perhaps it’s time to eliminate contact football until age 16. For all football players have them not play anything besides touch until 16. This would allow most sophomores and up on JV or varsity the chance to play 1-3 seasons of contact football. One radical idea is to allow two hand touch to “tackle” defenseless receivers. This would elimate a lot of the 50/50 big hits over the middle of the field. Eliminating the use of hands to any helmet also enchances safety. As for new technology one idea would be to eliminate the movement of the head by locking the neck into position with the upper body, thereby eliminating rotational forces which greatly increase concussions. Last there have been experiments with new helmets such as an exterior padded helmet with a harden underlayer followed by another soft layer. Making the helmets & shoulder pads softer would reduce the intensity of each collision. Finally nothing can be done to completely eliminate concussions & CTE, but new rules & technology can reduce the frequency and severity of injuries.
  11. I’m watching because I’m 100% certain Brady won’t win.
  12. Patriots system is superior to the rest of the NFL. But there is one solution, a concerted effort to stop Brady. Clean or not he must be hit early and often. Over the course of a 16 games if every team took that played NE took the Gregg Williams bounty approach NE wouldn’t have this old man on the field. Too many teams want to “kiss the ring”, but forget Edelman & Gronk & many before will act nice before the game, then throw elbows and cheap shots to your body during the course of play. Brady is the focal point & anyone playing “smart” would make an effort to knock him out.
  13. The play of the Rams defense front in particular Donald & Suh will decide the outcome of SB 53.
  14. He’s gone from a DT, to a STer, to DE/OLB. Who knows maybe he drops a few more lbs & plays S this year.
  15. Hey I’m all for this if they make elections day a national holiday too.
  16. The media from politics to sports is filled with writers who insert their opinions as facts.
  17. Small slot receivers are great but I’ve seen too many checkdown QBs become too reliant on that outlet. In the case of Josh Allen I think that wouldn’t be an issue as he needs to learn to get the ball out faster against blitz packages.
  18. Chicago will win but only because the Eagles have a ton of injuries. Not surprised they took a step back this season, but Nick House $ Foles might have a few more tricks up his sleeves. Expect Trubisky to throw his usual stupid interception which makes this one interesting. Bears 24 Eagles 20.
  19. Good for Gilmore it’s taken him 7 seasons to climb to the top of his position & at age 29 next year expect him to stick around the top 1/3 for the next 3-4 seasons.
  20. More likely to break the glass. Also it hit a drunk being thrown out. Yikes.
  21. Go because the fans should have to generate the noise. That goes for every NFL team.
