I agree. Not really sure what the coaching staff was thinking. Outside of injury Foster never really synced with Allen like he did in 2918. Duke while raw showed he could pull in around 63% of his targets which is better than the 17% Foster managed. Both small sample sizes but it’s clear Duke can and will make more tough contested catches.

Not a bad comparison. The only difference is by age 26 Boldin had 4,605 receiving yards & 20TDS compared to Duke who has 166 receiving yards & 1TD. No problem letting Duke compete for a roster spot but I see him as a #5 at best. He gets little separation laterally forcing him to have to lay out for separation & he can’t out run the defense deep. If you could give Foster Duke’s hands & toughness you’d have a complete WR.

DK > Oliver at this point in their careers. DK is a game changer

Bills could have won. We didn’t make enough plays. Game over.

Every time I trash Allen on another sub 60% completion percentage game the day after I look back & think how someone so crazy could be given the keys to our franchise. This kid is reckless. I wouldn’t be surprised if he is given the nickname “Skywalker” for his insane play. He’s 50% Light Side 50% Dark Side. He’s the ‘chosen one’. I believe Daboll loves that maniac & there’s a lot of mutual appreciation. ? to you Josh “Skywalker” Allen.

Duke Williams played more snaps than Cole Beasley

Josh Allen needs a few more dynamic targets who can get separation, catch contested throws (back shoulder, 50/50 jump balls), and have great hands. We need to upgrade Gore’s #2 RB position, get a dominate LB to replace Alexander & improve our #2 corner position. -

You heard it here folks. Allen hitting 4-5 more passes wouldn't have won game. I bow down to the football scientists on this board. -

Allen 24/46 52% another Sub 60% game with a loss. If Allen hits Duke Williams maybe McDermott fries a 59 yard field goal. We had the ball at the Houston 42 that’s 59 yards. All we needed was to run the ball. I put this loss on McDermott who collapsed down the stretch after a 9-3 start we end up 10-7. Really disappointing but it’s hard to win with such an erratic QB. -

Let’s Go Bills -
As I mentioned earlier Sal Capaccio lives in the City of Buffalo, and this DB is saying he lives in the suburbs. He won’t even stand up for his city. Say what you want about Buffalo, but it is coming back from 50 years of deindustrialization. The city is attracting youth on a massive scale & urban shops are thriving. I love the fact this guy simply tossed Baltimore to the side and went personal against us. Typical talking head blow hard.

Lots of elite athletes have someone they trust to get them through possible mental barriers. If I were advising Josh Allen I’d tell him he needs to understand the game can’t be won in the 1st Qtr nor lost. He needs to read the defense & take what they are giving him. Getting the ball out on time, and trusting his eyes and instinct will work. Football also isn’t a one man game. If it were Aaron Rodgers would have as many Super Bowl titles as Tom Brady. There is a good article about the 10,000 hour rule. Meaning the difference between a great talent and an amateur is 10,000 hours of practice. Allen is in year 2 of his professional development not counting the moment he walked out of high school in 2014. We all know Allen’s story to college then the NFL. Every step of the way Allen has been counted out. The detractors are vast and no doubt will be out in full force if he stumbles Saturday no matter how well he performs. These are the same talking heads who say the Bills schedule was soft and when we win it’s often in-spite of Allen’s play. Allen was chosen because our FO believes in him as a leader. He wants to reward that faith by perhaps playing too perfect and at times conservative. Come the playoffs it’s more about preparation and execution and the will to win. Sure there are a ton of variables out of Allen’s control, line play, running game, pass protection, but a good leader can instill confidence and accountability in his teammates.

Elite punt returners are found in the draft. The top 2 all time are 5th rounders. https://www.pro-football-reference.com/leaders/punt_ret_yds_career.htm -

Having a great punt returner can be huge. Add 2-3 punt return TDs and we could have a division title. -

I think we need a freak TE & WR along with a great slot WR who can be a return guy.
