The ability to overcome injury is the hallmark of every NFL QB. Kelly - knee, back and shoulder injuries. Montana - back injury Manning - neck injury Brady - ACL injury Brees - shoulder / elbow injury Big Ben - elbow injury surgery Elway - no left ACL blown out in the 70s in high school, torn biceps 1997 Young - concussions Aikman - concussions Favre - Iron Man & pain killers to play through countless injuries, drug abuse, alcohol abuse Rodgers - broken collarbone / clavicle Mahomes - dislocated kneecap 2019 Watson - ACL 2017 Allen - overcame a right elbow injury which could have derailed his entire career if it was more severe. Thankfully Allen is a tough competitive player.

I voted yes as OJ is not worthy of the Wall of Fame. If there was a Wall of Shame put him there. No there is no doubt his name stays in the record books, but a wall dedicated to players who lived honorable lives on and off the field matters most. Your legacy doesn’t end the moment you retire or are traded away. I would apply the same standard to Jim Kelly or Thurman Thomas. It doesn’t matter who.

10-0 at home = Super Bowl appearance. -
A big part of the Patriots success was actually in their running game & play action, and screen passes. Brady was a master at checking into the right play audible. Allen is getting there.

Not an interception, but they did get the 4th & 9 call correct to make up for it.

Unpopular take here...Tre is playing very meh

The lack of crowd noise might also have an affect. NE still is good at D, no doubt they are finding it easier listening in on the QBs calls at the line. Something to look out for. -
I believe that was Taron Johnson he made a break on a screen pass and hit the man, had he possibly located the ball and maneuvered to intercept it he would have found paydirt. Defensive TDs in games like that are the difference between needing a comeback winning driving and being up 35-17. I believe it was 28-17 at that point. Rams would go on to score 8, to cut the lead 25-28.

To me the game boiled down to Allen having the ball last and engineering a gutsy drive. All 11 got the job done.

I think his underlying injuries make him more susceptible to re-injury, hence self preservation. -
Can hardly wait for the PFF breakdown on Allen...
Dr.Sack replied to Billsfan1972's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I’m not too worried about PFF. What I am worried about is too much scrambling backwards in the pocket without a good grasp on the ball. That said Donald should have been called for roughing the passer on one of his sacks, as he dribbled Allen’s helmet into the ground. -

When a team comes from behind they will throw at all targets that are open. To me White is simply playing the concept of the defense which is to keep everything in front of him. -
I liked seeing Levi making that pick.

Gabriel Davis on the 4th and 9 late PI call
Dr.Sack replied to Simon's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Gabe Davis is a fighter -
They can score and are good on offense. Their defense got ran all over today in NE. Hopefully we can get our ground game going & pound them.

Allen played a good game. On to the next. -
This defense should get better.

Top 5 team with a great run game and good QB will tend to put up points. They gave us their best shot, thankfully our kicker was better than there’s. -
Great Win today, we beat the Rams and the Refs.

I didn’t like many calls today but the better team won. Imagine if we had Donald. That dude is amazing. -
Evaluating trades: Wyatt Teller breaking out

This hurts but consider that Guards are abundant elite WRs, CBS, TEs, QBs not so much. -
Not expecting to see Edmunds or Milano this week
Dr.Sack replied to Rubes's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The hamstring injury studies I’ve read conclude Milano will miss 2-3 games. For Tremaine most of the things I’ve read on AC joint sprains, dislocations is 4-12 weeks. Obviously we don’t know the specifics: MRI, severity or specific location, anatomy involved of either players injury, so this is all speculation. I’ve read a good bit on both injury types and sports science is certain on one thing - if a player rushes back the re-injury risk goes up by multiples. -
Josh Allen first Bills 400-yard passer since 2002

It’s easy to root for Allen. He’s a fierce competitor and is so calm.
