I thought we’d go 11-5, and probably would have if Sunday meant anything. That out of the way, this season comes down to the Playoffs, Winning a Playoff Game & creating some havoc. We haven’t officially arrived until we win a playoff game. Winning on the road against a great offense & improving defense that is well coached won’t be easy. We have a punchers chance & Allen has proven he can play clean games. If he can keep his completion percentage up around 60% or higher & our lines dominate I believe we will win. So to recap I appreciate all that has been accomplished but I’m not satisfied with just making it to the dance. I want to bang the prom queen.

Hence why some gadget plays & trickery could work Saturday. Allen is big enough to run routes and do his best Nick Foles impersonation. I like our chances if we dominate both lines of scrimmage & hit the Texans with some trickery. Abandoning the punt would also be a good idea as I believe we will need to get into lots of 3rd & 4th & shorts to win. Dominating from the onset & playing aggressive will likely be the best path to victory.

Lamar Jackson is doing great but look at what Baltimore’s FO has done to enhance his strengths. Rebuilt OL, TEs, big WRs, a power RB. Play design centered around his skill set.

The WR screen works well but I like the idea of sending out 3 max protecting & hitting the deep post. The amazing thing about Allen’s 53 yard bomb was that there WAS a safety high playing Cover 1 to help Gilmore. Brown ran a perfect route & Allen threw Brown open on a deep post. Certainly you’d like the believe they can execute the same pattern Aaron Rodgers completed when they see this coverage again.

Long term yes whether it be via FA or the draft, but perhaps someone from the bench or PS or a DE in running situations & a safety in pass downs. I think Neal could have better defended the LaCrosse TD & Darryl Johnson could have brought down Burkhead. Alexander also could benefit from a lower snap count. Does he make the Burkhead tackle if he wasn’t gassed?
