You are all dreaming if you think Nate Clements will be a Bill in 2006. As soon as some desperate team offers him 6 years/$38 million with a big signing bonus, he is gone. Bills could franchise him but they have alot of free agents to sign after 2005. There isn't alot of cap space after this year. Clements will be too expensive just like Winfield was and just like Jennings was. Best thing to do is trade him now for a 1st round pick, draft a top OL and then draft a CB in the 2nd round.

Amatuer team takes NHL team to court

The way I understand it is the NHL doesn't actually own the Cup. Any team can challenge the current Cup holder to a series for rights to the Cup. -
Any tips on getting out of jury duty?
kasper13 replied to Rudyc80's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I got called for jury duty twice. First time was in 1997. I was out in 45 minutes. Luck of the draw, I was called into the courtroom with the first bunch of people and when asked if I trusted Cops, I answered an emphatic NO. The judge said "Have a nice day". Second time was last year. It was a bit different as it took me almost two hours to get out. This time, they handed you a microphone and you had to read a bunch of questions and give your answer. I just told the judge that I knew someone involved in the case. (Just pay attention and when they read the witnesses, just pick a cops name and say you know him). Immediate dismissal. This time though they sent me back to wait to be called for a civil case. I thought I was screwed, but within 15 minutes, they called a bunch of us over and dismissed us. I could have cared less if I was picked or not. I just wanted to see how fast I could out of it and go screw around for the rest of the day. -
Who are these people? Today's kids are tommorrows sissies.

There were rumors that Cookie Monster had graduated from cookies to Black Tar Heroin a couple years ago. Oscar The Grouch was his dealer and he recently got busted. Good to see Cookie Monster clean himself up. Also rumored around the Street, Bert was charged with domestic violence for beating the crap out of Ernie. That's been going on for decades.

Those are so old they may be coming back into "fashion". They should reissue the originals and call them retro zubaz. I had a pair of the originals when they came out. They lasted at least 6 years and then worked as shorts for a couple more and then finally as a bar rag for a couple more after that. Durable if not ugly.

33% of people are sick b-stards...
kasper13 replied to TheManTheMythTheLegend's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
CNN Polls are ridiculous. They probably asked three people and one said people are sick, hence the 33%. They did a poll asking if the Pope was the greatest Pope ever. They asked 251 Catholics. There are over a Billion Catholics in the World. If I asked two people if the sky was blue and one said yes, CNN would report that 50% of people think the sky is blue. What a waste of time. -
Don't forget that Arizona has eternally sucked. They will give up more for Henry than they should, Shelton will become a Pro Bowl OL, the 2nd Round pick we get from Arizona will become a Pro Bowler and Travis Henry will break his leg getting off the plane in Phoenix. I wish the Bills would hurry up and get this done before Arizona has even one second of clarity.

38 of the biggest idiots of all-time. Minor League Baseball ANNOUNCES the dates of the test and they test EVERYBODY at once- no random tests. How much of an idiot can someone be? Is it a coincidence that 21 of the 38 players are from Latin America (Puerto Rico, Dominican, ect)? Steroids are legal and cheap south of the border. About time they started publishing names.

Jets Stadium....process rigged?
kasper13 replied to Hammered a Lot's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
So, if the Jets get a new stadium, there will be plenty of tickets available because there will be no tailgating & no parking? That's great. I will be able to go see the Bills at the Jets every year now without paying scalper prices for tickets and don't have to worry about driving to the Meadowlands and paying for parking there, I can just take the subway from my hotel and buy tickets right at the ticket window. Beauty. -
I heard that Serena has a bigger johnson than her sister as well.

The Yankee's want a new stadium, too?
kasper13 replied to BILLS02138's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The corridors in Yankee Stadium are very, very, very narrow. The bathrooms are few and far between and there are no escalators. Everything and everyone is packed into the place like sardines. In Cleveland for example, there are about the same amount of seats but there is a ton more room. They have wide, open corridors so you can walk around the entire stadium or wait in line for a beer and never bump into someone or never miss a pitch. Some of the seats in Cleveland are awful but the bleachers are decent and so are the Upper Deck seats between the baselines. In Yankee Stadium, the bleachers are the worst seats in the history of stadiums and are not even worth the $10 they cost. There is a reason they are so cheap. The Upper Deck seats are miles away from the game and they are so close together it's not fun on a hot day. I do like Yankee Stadium which is why I make two trips a year but I like it more for the history and tradition than the amenities and comfort level. A new, modern ballpark with improvements around the stadium would even better. -
I heard that they are going to unveil the entire schedule live on the NFL Network sometime in April.

The Yankee's want a new stadium, too?
kasper13 replied to BILLS02138's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The Yankees are paying for the $800 million ballpark themselves. They are asking for some improvements around the new ballpark and the Bronx Borough President is asking for others. If you have ever been to Yankee Stadium, the area around it certainly needs more than $300 million worth of improvements. Why would the Yankees spend $800 million to build a new ballpark and have it surrounded by a giant garbage dump otherwise known as the Bronx? That would be stupid. -
For all you old-time Buffalonians
kasper13 replied to \GoBillsInDallas/'s topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Blasts from the past indeed. In Cheektowaga, Two Guys was next to K-Mart on Walden across from what is now the Walden Galleria. K-Mart is still there. Down one way towards Buffalo was the Thruway Mall and there was a Cavages in there where I do recall buying my first record album. Back down Walden the other way was an Arthur Treacher's Fish & Chips (that has been a Mighty Taco for at least 20 years), Uncle Sam's and even further down the street heading towards Depew was a Twin Fair that became Gold Circle and across the street from that was a Drive In Movie Theatre. Also in that area on Dick Road was a Bells Supermarket, Carvel and of course, a Valu Home Center. In the same area over on Union Road were the Holiday Movie Theatres, Putt Putt and a bit further down was Kings. If anyone remembers Kings, I will owe you a beer. Got my first pair of baseball spikes at Kings and played Little League Baseball on the diamonds behind Kings. Next to Kings was Super Duper. Now it is a Tops Market. The only two places to survive that entire area were K-Mart and Valu. How did that happen? -
Green wants Henry AND a Draft Pick? Drug test that idiot immediatley. Buffalo on the other hand wants Shelton and to switch 2nd Round Picks with the Cardinals. Seems to me like they are quite a bit apart. If Chicago gets involved then the price for Henry goes up. I would have to guess that Chicago would not be willing trade for James AND then have to pay him $8 million for this season. That's a real steep price. It will be interesting to see what happens.

Haslett said that in addition to himself, all the Bills Lineman used steroids and all but named Kent Hull among them. He also said all of the Steelers linemen in the 70's used them as well and that the Steelers linemen were so much stronger than anyone else that he wondered what was going on until he found out and started using himself. Haslett also said at least 50% of the players in the NFL used steroids in the early-mid 80's. Steorids were not illegal until 1990.

BIlls want Shelton & a pick or swap 2nds
kasper13 replied to PIZ's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Arizona management has never been very good to say the least. They will cave and give up the pick. -
McGwire didn't say word one because he is just as guilty as Bonds is when it is about taking steroids and he is AFRAID to say anything about anything. "Hey Mark, how was the weather this morning?". "I am not here to talk about the past" Anyways, Bonds is a World Class POS scumbag. In no short order, he didn't report income from autograph shows. Gave his mistress $80,000 to buy a house and lots more cash ($9,000 every time over the course of 8 years) and never claimed it on his taxes. Now the IRS is going after him. His mistress (Yes, he had at least one woman on the side the entire time he has been married), according to her lawyer, has hours and hours of taped conversations between her and Bonds. She gave two reasons- one to prove there was a relationship and two- she was afraid Bonds would "Pull an OJ" after he started using steroids. Either she or Bonds lied to a Grand Jury in the BALCO case. They could go after Bonds for perjury as well as income tax evasion. Bonds showed all the classic side effects of steroid use, he lied about not using them. That's obvious. He doesn't deserve any HR record. All he deserves is a police record.

Packers rebuild line for less than $3 million
kasper13 replied to bernie's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I wouldn't say the Packers "rebuilt" their O-Line, I would say they found the three cheapest options they could in Ruegamer, Klemm and O'Dwyer. Not exactly household names. That was more like putting a band-aid on a bullet wound. -
We had all better be prepared to go through
kasper13 replied to envirojeff's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
You can get ready for whatever you want. The Bills problems have been WAY overblown. This is a playoff team. Nothing less than a playoff berth will be tolerated. To say they are "Rebuilding" is just not accurate. If they miss the playoffs again, then they may gut the team and go into some sort of a rebuilding mode after 2005. -
That's why MNF's ratings keep falling every year and that's why ABC might give up Monday Night's to another network. People are sick of seeing the Cowboys, Patriots, Redskins, Raiders and Dolphins 2 or 3 times a year in lousy matchups.
