  1. If you are going to the game, the weather is looking more like it will not be ideal for football. 90 degrees, humid, windy and numerous T-Storms. Yuck.
  2. JP Losman is NOT a Rookie. He was here all of last year and even threw 5 passes during the regular season. He has had a full year on the sidelines plus an off-season plus a training camp. If idiots want to dismiss the Bills because of their rookie QB, let them. When the Bills offense is kicking behind and taking names, everyone will be shocked at how well the "rookie" QB is doing. Mike & Fat Dog are right less than a broken clock. They are homers. What are they supposed to say while broadcasting LIVE from JETS CAMP? Jets will stink, Pennington is no good, Ty Law is over the hill? Of course not. They need to keep their audience interested and the head coach happy. Edwards is on their show all the time.
  3. "Dallas Cowboys quarterback Drew Bledsoe today had an MRI on his right foot to make sure the ache he's been feeling is nothing serious. The test showed it's not. Bledsoe says his foot started hurting Monday and he calls it one of those things. Bledsoe hasn't missed any practice time because of the injury. The MRI was done prior to an afternoon workout." Must be all that scrambling & running he does. Some of the headlines in and around Dallas today: "Fans, Don't Get Down On Bledsoe Yet" "After one game, Cowboys fans are ready to say adding Drew Bledsoe to the team was a mistake." "Cowboys' offensive line fails to protect Bledsoe" Where have we heard that before? And a couple of observations from the Dallas media..... Parcell's first-team offense under new quarterback Drew Bledsoe was a rinky-dink, punt-til-you puke waste of time. Five possessions, 17 plays, 22 yards, one first down, no points. Bledsoe was criticized for "holding the ball too long" Saturday, and for general lack-luster play. Echoes from his Buffalo days were already heard in North Texas. And a couple of used, abused and beaten to death quotes from old #11 himself.... While making no excuses, Bledsoe said Monday, "They pressed our receivers with man coverage and blitzed off that. We've got to do a better job of making 'em pay when they do that." Asked to give his answer to the multitudes back in Texas disappointed in him and the offense after one exhibition game, Bledsoe readily replied, "Just wait. Good things are happening, even if they weren't happening [saturday night]. I know what it takes to be successful. We have the opportunity here to be successful." Every single Bills fan should go outside right now, drop to their knees, look skyward and thank the man upstairs that Bledsoe is no longer our QB.
  4. C'mon already. This is lame even for WGR standards. 45,000 or so people already bought their season tickets before today and there are no refunds. Injuries happen and for whatever reason, the Bills do not disclose injuries during the preseason (same as most other teams). Coach Mularkey stated that Willis would play Saturday. End of story. There comes a point when there is just too much media coverage and that is because there is just too much air time to fill. Members of the media break down every single detail of every single play in practice and then give their opinions. Then they break down every single bump and bruise, what the players did in the AM, the PM and how they ate, drank, slept and everything else and then tell us how that will affect the entire season. When all that is done, the conspiracy theories, wild predictions and general overkill on usless items takes over. Some fans follow all of it because they love their team and want to know everything- real or imagined. I find it hard to believe that WGR can't fill a couple hours of airtime with something more useful, productive and informative than an imagined PR coverup about a Willis McGahee injury to sell season tickets in mid-August.
  5. I just had to post this. The Pamela Anderson Roast was on Comedy Central last night. It was totally filthy, dirty, downright nasty, vulgar and one of the funniest things I have ever seen. It was bleeped somewhat but you could still tell what they were saying. They didn't just make fun of Pam, everyone made fun of everyone that was there including Tommy Lee, Jimmy Kimmel, Andy Dick, Bea Arthur and Courtney Love. Courtney Love obviously fell off the wagon. She was wrecked. Pam had on a see thru top- not censored. I couldn't believe Comedy Central showed this at 9pm. They are showing the uncut, unbleeped version Saturday at 1am. If you like "bathroom" humor and jokes about Pam's boobs (and other regions) I highly recommend it.
  6. I do not understand why players listen to this douchebag Rosenhaus. If Volek made his current deal with a different agent, the only way Man Boobs would get paid is if Volek gets a new contract. Somebody needs to stop this a-hole now. I guess players do not realize how bad they look when they make ludicrous demands on the advice of Rosenhaus. Volek didn't want to start in Buffalo and said he wanted to stay in Tennessee and then SIGNED a CONTRACT. How many guys held out or at least demanded a new contract with two, four, five years or more left on their current contract? Owners shot each and every one down. Rosenhaus is a liar, a thief, a scumbag and an a-hole. Saving that kid was the only good thing man boobs ever did. That and only that will keep him out of hell.
  7. One slow start in his first preseason game and he lost his confidence? If he did, the Bills offense is screwed. I don't think he lost anything at all as he played well in the 2nd quarter. He will only get more confidence and improve as he gets more game playing time. Calm down Dr. Phil.
  8. I'd renegotiate TO's contract. One year at LEAGUE MINIMUM. Every week he behaves, doesn't shoot his mouth off and has a good game- he gets a $10,000 bonus. He fires his agent right now, he gets his original 7 year deal (with 6 years left) back.
  9. Better than anyone the Sabres brought in. Numminen and......nobody.
  10. I was hoping someone would mention Ferragamo/Mathison and any combination of Darragh/Shaw/Hart/Taliaferro. How about the 1976 triumverate of Gary Marangi, David Mays and Sam Wyche after Joe Feguson got hurt and missed most of the season? Not so good.
  11. Probably should have come to that conclusion while they had the chance to convict him. Total idiots. They should do time and see if they like getting molested.
  12. ESPN has sunk to a new low. Why give the POS an opportunity to speak? He shouldn't be allowed to do interviews until he finds the real killer.
  13. Henry will probably be out until Week 4 with his turf toe.
  14. I liked it alot. It would be even better if it was interactive. If they could tell you what the game situation was and if you could use your remote and click on the game you want to watch for a few minutes, that would be insane.
  15. The preseason needs to be shortened to two games. The amount of injuries are just ridiculous. The Colts have 22 players on the injury report for tonight's game. Everyone in WNY and Bills fans everywhere will be holding their collective breaths until about halfway through the first half. Almost every team will lose one or more important players for an extended period of time if not the entire season over the course of 4 meaningless games. With all the off-season workouts and almost 6 weeks of training camp, there is no need for 4 preseason games anymore. (Anyone remember when teams played 6 preseason games?) Teams could have a scrimmage against another team, play one home and one away preseason game and then get down to business with an 18 game regular season. Fans wouldn't feel so ripped off paying full price for two preseason games, and there would be two more weeks of "Primetime" Games. I think it would also cut the useless injuries at least in half. I also miss the season not starting Labor Day weekend. We used to have a giant "Kickoff Party" on Saturday Night and then another giant party on Sunday either at someone's house or tailgate at the Opener and then continue the drinki...err....party after the game because nobody had to go to work or school on Monday because of the holiday. Teams have 20 coaches, scouts, more video capabilities than in the old days and they should be able to evaluate a bunch of no-names and a few position battles in "organized team activities", training camp, a scrimmage and two preseason games.
  16. That's why I buy season tickets, for the free media guide!
  17. Grossman is made out of cheap glass. Missed most of his first year with a bad finger, missed most of his second year with a torn knee ligament and now he will miss almost all of his third year with fractured ankle. They pay this guy a full salary for three games a year. Rex, find a job more suited to your fragile condition. If he comes back next year, I wouldn't let him practice or play until the regular season started. Kyle "Cowboy Bob" Orton looks like he will be a good QB- next year. Bears are screwed by not getting a veteran QB.
  18. or get one for free with the purchase of season tickets.
  19. I just heard that this morning. Drew Rosenhaus does not get paid by TO unless TO gets a new deal. Very interesting. Rosenhaus is a scumbag. Period. I shudder to think what will happen when he decides Willis McGahee wants more money & a new contract.
  20. The Eagles have just told him that "You are playing for us or not at all and there will be NO renegotiation" TO is just totally out of touch with reality. If he doesn't like his contract, then why did he sign it ONE year ago? He is acting like a spoiled little rich brat. I suppose he thinks if he acts like an a-hole the Eagles will pay him just so he will be "happy" or trade him and some other team will pay him. TO was 100% wrong about everything. According to him in his interviews yesterday, it's everybody else that's wrong and not him. I wanted to reach through the TV and punch him in the face- and his agent too. The reality of NFL contracts is that only the signing bonus and the current season under contract are guaranteed. He is untradeable. I do not think even a-hole owners like Snyder, Jones or Al Davis would want TO now. Who's to say if he did get $60 million over 7 years with a big bonus and next year that wouldn't be good enough and he'd pull his little baby act again? "Owens earned a total of $9.16 million last year, including a signing bonus, and is scheduled to earn $3.25 million this year, plus incentives. He has another signing bonus of $2.5 million, a roster bonus of $5 million and a base salary of $770,000 for a total of $8.27 million in 2006" Over $12 million in his bank account over the first two years of his contract and over $20 million over the first three years is unfair? 48 Games of football for $20 million? Sign me up. I guess his family is eating $10,000 gold flake steaks and are paying people to wipe their behinds with $100's afterwards. (Probably Drew Rosenhaus) I used to find his antics amusing and thought he was a team player. There is no team in TO. Send him to Iraq for a year and see how quickly his attitude changes. That would give him a huge dose of reality.
  21. This is the Bills Year. We are going to be last year's Pittsburgh- barring any major injuries. The Pats are done. It's our time. Losman-McGahee-Evans is the younger version of Manning-James- Harrison. The D is going to be even better than last year. Bills are going to surprise a whole lot of other teams and shut the no-nothings in the media the hell up. 14-2 and a trip deep into the playoffs. Bills Fever. Catch It.
  22. There is no "team" in TO. I can't believe any team would trade anything at all for TO and pay him $8 million a season for 70 catches and not much else except getting the most selfish player of all time.
  23. I actually get the Outdoor Life Network. Cool. I hope ESPN walks away. They treat the NHL like dog crap on the bottom of their shoe. All they do is point out how the NHL ratings are worse than the ratings for poker, eating competitions and the spelling bee. I'm sick of ESPN anyways. LOGO is apparently the Gay Channel. Not that there's anything wrong with that.
  24. Can we get a seperate section for all the not really personal but still bad news items? Do we really need a seperate topic for every person that had 12 seconds of fame? RIP Charlie Black, whoever the heck you were. More bad news: Christopher Reeves widow has cancer. Marc Cohn who had "hit" records with "Walking in Memphis" and "True Companion" was shot in the head while being carjacked after a concert in Denver on Sunday Night. Doctors were able to remove the bullet that lodged in his temple.
