I want the Throwbacks to be the new permanent uniforms. White helmet & all. Throw in some Royal Blue Pants even and go new old school.

1st Row seats are the biggest rip off of all time. If you are behind either bench, you can't see over the players. If you are further down the yard lines, the TV Camera tower is constantly in your way along with all the other cameras and photographers. If you are in either end zone, you can't see the play because the players are blocking your view. The only decent view will be of the Jills. Take Row 4 if that's your only option. I'd stay above Row 5 if at all possible.

Dunn Tire Park opened in 1988 (Pilot Field). It's not a "retro" park at all. They never sell out anymore so there is no reason to sit in the one or two sections that do not have perfect sightlines. There are only 18,500 seats, so really, there aren't any bad views at all in my opinion.

I just got the new "2005 NFL Cliche Book". One player does not affect the outcome of the game. It is a team game. If one player is out, someone else needs to step up and get the job done. The other team members also need to step up their games and rally the team to victory.

Texans Looking To Confuse Losman
kasper13 replied to BillsGuyInMalta's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
That's why McGahee will run the ball about 30-35 times. If they stop him and the passing game then it will be a low scoring game. Pretty obvious game plan for the Texans. No way they come in here and beat us. I don't care if we win 2-0 or how we do it. A win is a win -
Bledsoe and Price Reunite

Sweepstakes? That's more like winning a giant bottle of hair tonic or a year's supply of Rice-A-Roni on a 1970's game show. -
Once a player clears waivers, he can placed on the practice squad. The Giants, Bengals & Lions have already announced their practice squads as per KFFL.

I think it means that Roscoe Parrish will be back fairly soon so they kept 7 WR's. Wilson, Aiken, Smith or Reed will be gone when Roscoe comes back.

The Bills don't pay thier players...
kasper13 replied to stevestojan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The Bills do pay their players. They have a salary cap and are a couple million under that, if not less. 53 players are getting paid. Why do we want to see another salary cap jail sentence and have to get rid of everyone and start over like in 2001? -

"Urinal Puck Stadium of Arizona" Ugliest thing I have ever seen. -
Ban this thread. Mularkey said after the game that he was very pleased with JP tonight. Holcombe is not starting next week or any time soon. Stop this crap now. Someone tell me the last time the Bills played well in the last preseason game. Nobody can because nobody remembers preseason games that do not count for anything, especially the last one.

I think the Bills-Saints game should be played in RWS. Charge $25 a ticket and give a million bucks to the Red Cross or whomever to help New Orleans. The game would be a guaranteed sell out. It would be tough on the Saints to play 10 or more road games but maybe by November they can play 4 or 5 home games at LSU.

How long do we have to put up with
kasper13 replied to Anon Y. Mous's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Anyone care to guess who the Bills kept when they cut Gary Anderson in 1982? Lindell will probably be here until he costs us a regular season game or two. There are a couple teams with kicker battles going on. There could be a couple options available tommorrow. I hope we do something. It can be argued that TD will not admit a personnel mistake. How else can it be explained that Coy Wire, Rian Lindell and Josh Reed are still on this team? The answer to the above question is they cut Anderson (a 7th round draft choice) in favor of the incumbent, Nick Mike-Mayer, who was coming off a season in which he finished tied for 23rd in the league in accuracy. He lasted two games, connecting on only one of four field goals, and his career was finished. In came 31-year old Efren Herrera, who also saw his career end after that season, in which he went 8 for 14, a .571 percentage that was tied for 27th among NFL kickers. Joe Danelo was the kicker in 1984 and then the Scott Norwood era began in 1985. -
UConn 23- UB 0 at the half.

When an official says EVACUATE..it

How are people supposed to leave without a car, money or a place to go? I suppose the local, state & federal governments could have had an evacuation plan in place BEFORE the hurricane hit. They knew a Cat 5 storm was in the Gulf and was heading towards New Orleans by late Friday-early Saturday. They should have had all the buses ready to go on Saturday AM to evacuate all the people who had no other way out. Hopefully, the next time a big hurricane is headed towards land, people will finally listen and just leave. -
Lancaster, NY: I passed a Citgo on the way to school this morning and gas was $2.99 a gallon. On the way back in the afternoon it was $3.09. Close to RWS, I saw gas range from $3.06 to $3.29 a gallon.

I got an email from the Sabres and it said through a promotion with WGR, I was able to buy tickets to either of the two Sabres home preseason games for $5.50 each in any seating level. Sounded like a good deal, so I was going to buy 2 tickets to the Saturday, September 17th game against Washington. I put in 2 tickets- best available. Came up Section 106, Row 7. Great deal right? Wrong. The processing & handling fees totaled $11.00. The $5.50 tickets are actually $11.00 each. Still a decent deal, I suppose, but couldn't they just say they are $11.00 each? I said to hell with it. I'm not spending the $3+ a gallon gas, $10 to park and the ticket processing fees to go watch a preseason game.

WKBW Channel 7 in Buffalo is showing two replays of the game on Saturday. Once at 12pm and then again at 11:30pm. That bookends Michigan-Northern Illinois and Pitt-Notre Dame. It's beginning to look alot like football season!

People love to slam Buffalo over weather
kasper13 replied to KRT88's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I'd much rather shovel a few inches or a couple of feet of snow a few times a month in the winter than shovel my house into a dumpster after losing everything I owned- provided I lived through the hurricane to begin with. -
I wonder two things about this. One- Did Simon get anywhere near what his asking price was? Two- How the hell can the Colts afford him?

Katrina: moral dilemma for Tallahassee hotels
kasper13 replied to Ramius's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
"The Hurricane Won" What the hell is that? A Hurricane is a weather system. It has no feelings or thoughts on the matter. In fact, it is now just a rain storm in my backyard. It was neither trying to win anything or prove a point to anyone. "Vacations cost alot of money" So does a hurricane destroying peoples homes and everything they owned and leaving them with nowhere to go but to a hotel or a shelter or worse. Let's have some perspective here. A football game is totally insignificant after seeing what went down in Louisiana, Alabama, Mississippi and Florida. People lost everything they had and some were stuck on rooftops or camping out on highways because that was the only dry and safe place left to go. There is no power, food, water or much of anything else. 10,000's of thousands of people are now homeless because of the hurricane. Untold numbers are dead. If some a-hole has such little compassion because their vacation to go watch a football game was disrupted because of the devastation caused by the hurricane and a person who just lost everything is staying in their hotel room......well, I have just one thing left to say. FU*K THEM! -
They fryer team at McD's first than a State Prison FB team somewhere. What kind of a moron doesn't take guaranteed money but an incentive laden deal instead that makes it easy for the team to cut you when you suck? Train Wreck from day one.

Can someone shut up all three of them? PLEASE.

Almost Silent Thread for New Orleans
kasper13 replied to Chalkie Gerzowski's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
"160 MPH winds gusting to 196 MPH." There is nothing good about that statement at all. Expected to hit NO at 2am as a category 4 hurricane. 90 degree water in the Gulf turned this into an even bigger monster of a storm. -
I Don't Care One Iota About This Game....
kasper13 replied to Bill from NYC's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The Bears game meant nothing and the Lions game means even less than nothing. Basically, it's been 8 months of speculation, wild predictions and dissecting every single bit of mostly useless information on every single thing the Bills have done or not done off the field and in every single practice and preseason game since the last game that counted. None of it means a thing. Nobody (not even the Bills) knows exactly what will happen until Sunday, September 11th at 1pm.
