A bright spot for UB athletics

Soccer team lost to Akron. I heard they paid Refrigerator Perry in Pizza & Wings to show up at the football game today. -
Will a win restore sanity to this board?
kasper13 replied to buffalo mike's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Bills somehow win tommorrow and it will be all "Holcomb is the savior", "Bills will make the playoffs", "Bills turned it around again", "Bills will start a streak", "Bills are on a roll" and so on. The insanity will never end around here, if it were diagnosed as a whole it would be considered Bi-Polar and put on medication. -
Either the Bills will play alot better this week..
kasper13 replied to Tipster19's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
So what you are saying is that they will either win or they will lose? -
Huh? The Run Defense is 31st in the NFL. Almost 40 yards worse than the 30th ranked Saints. If they were any good they wouldn't be so bad regardless of what the offense is doing. If they were any good the last few games would have been 3 and outs on BOTH sides of the ball and there would have been 60 punts a game.

That was an obvious indictment. Why pay taxes on the billions you stole to begin with? Maximum Security Hardcore don't pick up the soap Prison for both of them.

The "veterans" forced this switch
kasper13 replied to cåblelady's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I do believe it's time for EM to say goodbye. Has he ever gotten along with any QB since he has been here? How many times has he spit on someone? (Literally and Figurativley) All he does is complain. His production is not worth the money he gets. If he is the Bills "veteran presence" the Bills are in serious trouble. Time for him to move on. Think of the possibilities. Get rid of Moulds $9 million, Clements will get at least $12 million and Mike Williams $11 million. That would be $32 million to spend in the offseason on a McGahee extension, Matt Leinhart and a good O-Line. -
Shane Mathews. Just so I can hear Chris Berman say "Shane Mathews Band" on Primetime Sunday Night.

Great times there back in the day. I went every year from 91-99. Friend of mine has a cabin out there. We used to call it Drunk Fest. Always felt sorry for our Designated Driver. Bars get so packed though it got to be too much hassle. Balloons and the Inn were favorites.

Sabres website is down right now. Odd considering the puck drops in 6 hours and change. Something's up.

Bartovic is a forward. A Left or Right Winger if I recall correctly. I don't know what the heck they need another goalie for except for the fact that the Sabres are keeping Biron, Miller and Norronen for now and that left Rochester shorthanded, so they sent the new goalie to Rochester. Maybe Darcy will pull off a trade before Christmas.

Why not? Anyone can run through him, around him or away from him.

What happens if we go 1-15?
kasper13 replied to nick in* england's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Worst Case: Bills go 2-14. TD stays. MM stays. Jerry Gray & Tom Clements get the boot. Bills draft a TE with the 2nd overall pick. Mike Williams stays and the Bills take a $11 million cap hit on Big Mike for 2006. TKO isn't close to what he was before his injury. The Bills clean house getting rid of veterans such as Sam Adams, Jeff Posey, Lawyer Milloy, Troy Vincent, Eric Moulds and claim "we are rebuilding for the future". McGahee holds out for big money. Nate Clements walks as a free agent. Bills struggle again with a young defense although the offense is starting to show promise and we go 6-10 in 2006. Best Case: Bills go 4-12. TD, MM, Tom Clements get the boot. Jerry Gray is the new head coach. McGahee signs a long term deal. Mike Williams gets traded. Nate Clements is franchised and traded. Bills have 3 of the top 10 picks in the draft and take the top 2 OL and a WR to replace the departed Mike Williams and Eric Moulds. They take a CB in the 2nd round. Roscoe Parrish and Kevin Everett are 100% healthy. Spikes is back to his old form. Bills sign a top OL, a decent WR and a decent CB in Free Agency with the money they saved on Clements & Williams. Losman has developed quite nicely over the last 10 games of the 2005 mess. Bills go 11-5 and win the division in 2006. -
i know this is something that has no chance of

Boomer Esiason suggested Favre could go to Philadelphia if McNabb has surgery. I'd trade for him right freaking now. Holcomb & a 1st round pick. Favre would have to commit to playing next year as well though. -
Error of margin must be -18%

What a tool. Here's a little secret of why people are true fans of a given team. The team picks you, you don't pick the team. Just like falling in love. Whatever reason you have for being a fan, it wasn't your choice. It was just something that happened, whatever it may have been, that lead you to being a fan and it was already predetermined before you even knew. If you give up when times are tough or pick another team beacuse the team you have been cheering for is losing then you were really never a real fan to begin with. I have been a Bills fan since I was 4 years old. I don't know why I became a Bills fan other than I live in Buffalo and most of family were Bills fans. My first game at Rich Stadium was the Opener in 1977 against Miami. I have been there ever since and always will be no matter if we are 1-15 or 15-1. I know the majority of Bills fans are with me. Those that aren't, that's too bad for you. When they do start winning, whether it's this year or next year or 2010, it will be all that much better for those of us fans that stuck with them now.

JP = Heath Shuler, Akili Smith, Ryan Leaf
kasper13 replied to zow2's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
4 games and JP is on the scrap heap. Unreal. Everyone associated with the Bills said JP would stuggle. Even TD who talks out of both sides of his mouth. Everyone has watched countless young QB's struggle for a year or even two. It will take this entire season plus another offseason, training camp and preseason plus another handful of games next season to even have an idea if Losman is a bust or not. Nothing anyone can do about it except B word and moan and write him off I guess. -
Every single one of you guys know squat
kasper13 replied to Kelly the Dog's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
There are a number of folks around here that the only enjoyment in their pathetic lives is having the Bills lose than going back and looking at predictions and ripping people for being wrong. Who cares what people predicted? Get a grip. -
So, now we all know what will happen Sunday against Miami. The Bills will unsuccessfully run the ball 50 times. Miami knows it's coming so they will defense the run and force Losman to beat them in the air. These games are all guaranteed wins against the Bills until the QB gets better. I don't understand or buy into the BS that coaches work 22 hours a day on gameplans. It's simple. Find the strong suit of the opponents offense, stop it and exploit the weakness. Does anyone not get we have zero passing game right now?

I meant to say Last in Rushing Defense. Actually we are 31st. Minnesota is 32nd. My mistake. -
interesting stuff from lenny p's column today
kasper13 replied to dave mcbride's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Nate "Fair Catch" Clements? He refuses to return punts because he might get hurt in a contract year. All I have seen him do is fair catch or get out of the way. I belive Fast Freddie was returning punts yesterday instead of Clements. Stallworth ate Clements for lunch and dinner yesterday. Also had a nice penalty on 3rd down to keep a Saints drive going. No INT's this year either. Clements is vastly overrated. Let someone else pay him 10x what he is worth. We need offensive linemen. Very good to great, expensive, offensive linemen. Spend the money on the O-Line. -
Leinhart won't be "NFL Ready" until 2007 and then we'd sit and wait for another young QB gamble while we continue to lose until 2008 at the least.

said it before, will say it again
kasper13 replied to dave mcbride's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The logic here is all well and good in theory but how the hell are the Bills going to win a game? Their QB and O-Line are horrible and the defense is the worst in the league. Easy enough to say the Bills will beat Miami and the Jets because they are home games but I just don't see it. Ricky Williams and Curtis Martin the next two weeks. That's two more 100+ yard rushing games. The Bills can't score and can't stop the run. That equals lots of losses. -
Has Blind Optimism Finally Been Replaced...
kasper13 replied to Kipers Hair's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
So it's keep on paying for a garbage product and continue to fill the stadium week after week or the team moves to LA? Bills fans deserve much better than that. -
I heard they gave away 40,000 tickets so the game would be a "sell-out". They only sold 50,000 or so tickets. Big corporations bought them and gave them away. I am pretty clueless as to what Mexico is like. I thought everyone there was trying to hop the fence to the USA because it is so bad there. Stupid publicity stunt by the NFL, nothing more.
