I'M WAITING.....I'M STILL WAITING.........
kasper13 replied to Driffill's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
OK. The free agents aren't good and overpaid. Where the heck does that leave the Bills in 2010? They weren't nearly good enough last year and had absolutley no depth. How many guys aren't coming back already? 5 or 6 at least. QB is undecided. Thin at WR and OL. Switching to a 3-4 and were already thin at LB, have DT's but no true NT. Ummmm......the draft? That's 7 or 8 picks. I can't believe they aren't going to sign at least 2 or 3 free agents. Doesn't have to be splashy. Just average. They will end up with undrafted rookies and guys picked off the scrap heap. Way it's going now, they won't have a full roster for camp. Not with anyone decent anyway. Great way to rebuild. I think the are going to take a serious run at tying the Lions 0-16 and I hope they do. Jake Locker should be the #1 pick in 2011. Tank 2010. Sit out 2011 and come back in 2012. Sounds like Ralph & Co's plan. Just make sure you renew your season tickets, you will be a witness to infamy. -
ORCHARD PARK, NY (WKBW) -- The Buffalo Bills today announced ticket pricing for the team’s 2010 season. The average per game price for a Buffalo Bills season ticket will be $59.19 for eight home games at Ralph Wilson Stadium (seven regular season games and one preseason game). Season ticket prices will increase between $2 and $10 per ticket per game. The Bills once again expect to have one of the lowest average ticket prices in the NFL. The 2010 Bills average season ticket price is over $15 less than the 2009 NFL average season ticket price. The Bills will play one regular season game and one preseason game in Toronto. The time and date for these games will be determined by the NFL. Season ticket prices in the seating bowl will range from $280 in “The Coors Light Rock Pile” (club level scoreboard end zone) to $640 in the Lower Level Sideline. The Bills early renewal season ticket price is a new benefit to current season ticket holders and will result in savings up to 14 percent for season ticket holders who take advantage of the offer. For a complete list of season ticket prices fans can go to the team’s official website, www.buffalobills.com. http://www.wkbw.com/sports/84245807.html

Anyone else feel the SB was boring?
kasper13 replied to SuperBills12's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
1st half was lousy. 2nd half was good, not great. Commercials sucked. Halftime sucked. About the norm for what the Super Bowl has become. As corporate themed and directed as can be. -
I guess dead people count because there were a few onstage yesterday. Go real old school- Lawrence Welk with Glenn Miller, Liberace and Kate Smith. Or if the NFL were cool, The Rat Pack. Maybe Elvis, not Fat Elvis though, sends a bad message to the kids. How about the Beatles Reunion for the halftime show??? I don't think John Lennon would agree though. He hasn't said much in the last 30 years.

this restricted free agent situation due to the
kasper13 replied to BeastMode54's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Could get real ugly. No salary cap in 2010 and a possible lockout in 2011. I saw a thing in the NY Daily News yesterday that had all the scenarios and what it all means. No cap also means no minimum payroll. Teams can spend as little as they want and make a huge profit for the year. Anyone with non-guaranteed money can be cut with no penalty to the team. What do you think Ralph will do? Spend money or turn into the Pittsburgh Pirates and rake in as much cash as possible while claiming the team is rebuilding? I don't think the Bills are going to sign any free agents that would be helpful at all. I do wonder what having no cap does to the draft picks. Do teams keep paying the 1st round picks insane amounts of cash or not? Unrestricted free agency changed from 4 to 6 years, teams really want to give guys guaranteed money for 6 years with most 1st rounders being busts? Should be interesting. Most Bills fans expect the team to rebuild and get better. I expect them to clean house as far as veteran players go, not sign any free agents and be worse than 2009. I also expect there to be no NFL football in 2011. It's a big, giant mess just waiting to happen. -
Would you trade/settle for Marc Bulger...
kasper13 replied to Solomon Grundy's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I'd rather have Losman back. If the Rams GIVE the Bills a draft pick to take him, then maybe. Rams send Bulger and a 5th round pick to the Bills for nothing. Still a bad deal. -
Saints Have The First Top Notch Championship Hat
kasper13 replied to BuffaloBaumer's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I'll buy one of those ugly suckers when it says "Buffalo Bills AFC Champions." Of course, hats will be obsolete in 2072 and I'll be 100 years old so, whatever. -
I received a letter from the Bills Today
kasper13 replied to Hammered a Lot's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Best letter I ever got from the Bills was in January 1991. It said "Congratulations! As a Buffalo Bills Season Ticket holder, you have been selected to have the opportunity to purchase 2 tickets to Super Bowl XXV in Tampa, Florida. If the Buffalo Bills advance to the Super Bowl, bring this letter to the Rich Stadium box office on the Monday after the Conference Championship Game." Seems like a lifetime ago. Now they send form letters that basically say "we sucked, we have sucked for 10 years, we'll try harder, give us your money again please" -
Gailey already said his assistants won't be anyone recognizable. He is running the offense to start but will have an OC. He wants teaching coaches. Whatever that means. I take all that to mean anyone with a big name- Martz, Edwards, Gray and so on will not be here.
-
I like what they had to say. Face it, can't be any worse than Williams/Mularkey/Jauron. Worst case we are back here in 3 years doing the same thing. Best case is they get some players and Gailey is the next Marv Levy. He learned from Cowher so it's like getting Cowher Lite. Whatever, it's done, that is who we have so let's start talking assistants free agents and draft. Everybody will hate all that too. Who is the next QB?

Do we have the oldest owner/GM/HC combo in the league?
kasper13 replied to JÂy RÛßeÒ's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Let's see Ralph is 91, Nix is 70 and Gailey is 58. That's 219 total. In 2007, Ralph was 89, Levy was 81 and Jauron was 57. That's 227. Hey, at least they got younger! -
The Earliest Season Record Predictions
kasper13 replied to bills in va's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
1-15. This team is going down, not up. Maybe 2-14 if they can actually get a free agent or two to come here and they don't screw up another draft. They need a QB, WR, OT, DE and LB. Plus some decent depth for a change. Long way off for the Bills to being a contender for anything other than the 1st overall pick. -
Woah - Bills offered HC job to Harbaugh
kasper13 replied to BillnutinHouston's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Right, like college coaches would never ignore their contract and just jump teams during recruiting season either. Man, we are getting to the point where it's 3:30 am and and the only women left in the bar are fat and toothless but look like Victoria's Secret models through the beer goggles. (Who hasn't been there at least once guys, right?) There's an anology you won't hear on TV. The Bills are going to end up with another mediocre coach and a lousy staff. Whole thing is just absurd at this point. -
It is embarassing and troubling. The Bills interviewed Mike Shannahan who was always going to Washington and nowhere else. They interviewed Perry Fewell who left for the NY Giants DC posistion. They interviewed Leslie Frazier. They allegedly had a meeting with Bill Cowher who is not interested. They are not interested in Billick , Fassel or Mariucci. Charlie Weis and Marty Schottenheimer were not interested. OK, I can live with that I suppose. It gets embarassing when assistant coaches will not even interview for the job. I always thought the main idea of being an assistant was to prove yourself and becom a head coach. It is apparent in at least to Schottenheimer and Grimm that it is better to be an assistant somewhere else than it is to even interview for the Bills head coaching job. Even more troubling is that all the assistant coaching jobs are starting to get filled. It is January 16th and the Bills have one head coach candidate in Leslie Frazier (hardly inspiring) and zero assistants. They can't even get guys to interview for the head coaching job, where are they finding all the assistants? They are going to end up with the same garbage as always, just different names.
-
Looks like Frazier is the new HC by default. My wallet is officially closed after 31 years of having season tickets. You morons can spend your money any way you want. I'm finally done paying for garbage. RW had one last chance to get it right and it has been a total joke. Embarassing. My opinion and I'm entitled to it. Tell yourselves whatever you have to so you can continue to justify spending your, I'll guess, hard earned money so you can drink at 9am on a Sunday and not be called an alcoholic.

RUMOR: Jim Kelly spoke w/Bill Cowher?
kasper13 replied to Punch's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Here's how rumors get started. No Estate/Inheritance Tax in 2010. Ralph can give the Bills to his family and they will not have to pay all the taxes. Rumor has it that on January 15th, RW was going announce that he was stepping down as the owner. His family would retain 51% of the Bills and the other 49% would go to Jim Kelly , Thurman Thomas and their group and the new Bills Team President/Head Coach Bill Cowher who gets 5%. They were waiting until the 15th because of the tax laws not taking effect until that day. See, that is a great rumor. Some things are true, some others are plausible. No tax is true. Ralph could really do that if he wanted. Kelly supposedly has a group together. Thurman alluded to the 15th. Plus, really, who wouldn't want that to happen? Don't hold your breath until the 15th. -
Jay Glazer has a ton of "buff news" on coach
kasper13 replied to SuperBills12's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
My Top 10 just for the heck of it: Bill Cowher Jim Harbaugh Marty Schottenheimer Brian Scottenheimer John Fox Brian Billick Jim Haslett Mike Martz Ron Rivera Russ Grimm Caught a report on what Ralph Wilson's Top 10 candidates list looks like: Marv Levy Tom Landry Joe Gibbs Chuck Noll Chuck Knox Jimmy Johnson Dick Vermeil Hank Stram Don Shula John Madden -
Leslie Frazer "blew away" Nix in interview.
kasper13 replied to lets_go_bills's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
NO. Just flat out NO. If Frazier is hired, I am retiring just like Schoebel. I will not give the Bills another dime. WTF happened to a big name coach? WTF is the difference between Russ Brandon/Dick Jauron and Buddy Nix/Leslie Frazier??????? They all suck. PATHETIC. Funny how Seattle fired Mora in the morning and by the time it was dark in Seattle they had Pete Carroll. Sick of this garbage. -
Cowher the Cowher is Cowher for Cowher in Cowher's Cowher
kasper13 replied to bills_red's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Through my sources, I heard Cowher, Billick and Schottenheimer all want to coach the Bills. Only difference is I'm not on ESPN. I can't believe someone actually pays these douchebags to go on TV and give useless opinions. I want in. I'm pro-Bills. Whom do i contact to get a job there? -
Bills attempting to set up interview w/Leslie Frazier
kasper13 replied to Beerball's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Blah. Just a big waste of time. Would rather have Leslie Neilsen as the freaking coach. They shouldn't bother interviewing coordinators. I want Ralph to get Cowher in a room, throw a bag containing $10 million in cash on the table and tell him "You get one of these a year for the next 5 years" and see what happens. Anything less than Cowher, Billick or the Bronze Medal (Marty S.) will be a big disappointment. -
La Canfora says he doubts Cowher comes to Buffalo
kasper13 replied to DarthICE's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I doubt he knows anything. None of these morons knows anything. Everyone has to break news or be first with the story. It's all 100% speculation and opinion. I put ZERO credibility in any of it. If I worked for ESPN and as a Bills fan, I would say "I think Cowher ends up with the Bills". They put it on the crawl and it's somehow BREAKING NEWS! So stupid, useless and a waste of everyone's time. -
Nothing wrong with Buffalo at all, IF you have a good job. Taxes are high. It snows in the winter. Just like most places in the northeast. Why would Bill Cowher need nightlife? Whole bunch of pro athletes who came here have stayed or have came back to live. Jim Kelly, Thurman Thomas and Ruben Brown to name a few. Start naming hockey guys and the list is very long. Sure they all live in the suburbs but most people do around here. $10 million a year to coach the Bills, live in a huge house in Orchard Park, drive a big SUV in the winter. The only real Chicken Wings in the world. There should be guys killing each other to come here. Plus, if you are a head coach in the NFL, you are working 18 hours a day anyway. Why does there need to be anything to do? Really, what is there to actually do anywhere other than a handful of places and that is all tourist type stuff anyway??? That has always been such a stupid point to me. He can go live wherever the heck he wants in the offseason on $10 mil. per. How much can Ralph actually do at 91? I think the only thing holding any big name back is the fear of failure. Whichever big name steps up, (Cowher, Schottenheimer, Billick) they can cement their big name reputation and earn a spot in the HOF by coming here and making the Bills a winner again. If not, they get about $30 million after taxes for 5 years of standing on the sideline, watching film and eating wings.

Figuratively, yes, the game is sold out and will be on TV. Literally, the game would not even come close to being sold out. If they sold 15,000 tickets it would be alot. They will not release the actual number of tickets sold. Why? Probably too embarassing. Rogers Communications bought all the remaining tickets and is trying to give them away. Bills got their money upfront, Rogers guaranteed the games to be a sell out just so they would be on TV in WNY so why care? If anyone wanted to go and actually pays, they are stupid. Probably the easiest game ever to get into for free. Will be interesting to see how many people actually show up. I think Toronto can forget about ever getting an NFL team.

Fewell. Fire, enthusiasm, agressive, coaches to win instead of coaching not to lose. The anti-Jauron. I like him. I'd give him the job. Take the $50 million they were going to give to Shannahan and get a good GM and some good players. I think head coach is the most overrated position in sports, especially in football. There are 20 assistants. What exactly can Mike Shannahan do that Perry Fewell can't? Yeah, Shannahan has won in the past. I think the players had more to do with that than the coach.

I'd trade Lynch for whatever or plant a piece in his car. Make Jackson the #1. Get as many draft picks as possible. Sign a backup. Lynch is a bust. Beast Mode was all crap.
