Everybody have fun tonight. Everybody Wang Chung tonight. Can't believe they didn't take that OL Harry Bigpenis from Viagara Tech. Their OL coach Dick Johnson said he is hard to beat in the trenches.

If the Bills get anything at all for Lynch it is a bonus. I'd just cut him if they don't get a draft pick for him. Character issues aside, after the bye week last year, Lynch averaged less than 10 carries a game. Couple games he had less than 5. Now they add Spiller. Where exactly does Lynch fit in now? Why keep him around for 1-2 carries a game? Makes no sense. Now add in all his character issues and his unwillingness to show up for the OTA's (Yes, I know they are "voluntary") and it makes even less sense to keep him. Addition by subtraction. Sometimes you have to cut your losses. I don't think there is anyone who would be unhappy to see him go. Those of you with a Lynch jersey excluded. Throw it on top of the pile with your Losman and McGahee jerseys.

Round 6, Pick #192: DE Danny Batten S. Dakota State
kasper13 replied to SDS's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Christmas analogy: Spiller was the shiny, new toy and eveything else turned out to be socks and underwear. Everything the Bills have done is for beyond 2010. All projects, works in progress and untapped potential in rounds 2-7. 3 DE's??? Jeez. Good for Batten. Getting drafted by an alleged NFL team has to be a big thrill. South Dakota State was dominant in the Cereal Bowl, the Beef Bowl and on Hobo Day last year. Not kidding. Look at their website. Anyone wants to spin it as a good pick for the Bills, go ahead. Anyone after round 5 is a longshot anyway. Except for Tom Brady. Batten will be among the first cuts in late August. -
The FO is nuts. Totally clueless. Same old stuff. I have seen all I need to out of Edwards. He hasn't gotten better, he regressed horribly. He is not the future. Fitzpatrick is in the bottom tier of QB's in the league. He played OK for very brief spurts. He is not the future. Haven't seen enough of Brohm but I really don't think he is the answer either. Didn't draft a QB, trade for a QB or sign a QB in FA. The plan must be to finish 32nd in the NFL and take a QB with the first overall in 2011 and be good by 2012 or 2013. No better explanation I can think of. Nothing they have done is for 2010. Spiller may be exciting but with zero passing attack and from what I have seen, very minimal improvement in the OL if any at all (Wang may turn out to be good but not in 2010) all teams will have to do is put "8 in the box" to stop the run and blitz the daylights out of us. Maybe the D will be better but again, not in 2010. They drafted 3 DE's for crying out loud. It is going to be one ugly train wreck of a season.

Matt Millen sticks foot in his mouth
kasper13 replied to mousetrap08's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
It's POLAK. It's Cheektowaga. I am one. I lived there. What Millen said is not offensive. Cheektowarsaw is offensive. Jaworski used to be called "The Polish Rifle". That's probably offensive nowadays. Whatever. -
Even Oakland is PWNING the Bills
kasper13 replied to Curse Of Rusty Jones's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Don't bash the Bills draft picks. Every year, everyone on here LOVES what the Bills do in the draft. Ed Wang in the 5th? WHOO-HOO. LT problem solved. He will be an an All-Pro for 10 years LOVE IT!!!!!!! Anyone who thinks otherwise is flamed beyond recognition. Anyone the Bills don't get (Campbell is the latest), well, that player sucks anyway and the team that got him is stupid. I think the Bills draft flat out sucks. I think it has pretty much sucked for the last 11 years. Their record and playoff appearances bear that out but reality around here is something that does not exist. They still do not have a LT or a QB and no depth whatsoever. They reached in the 2nd round. Easley in the 4th? Another reach. Bills have pretty much drafted projects that may or may not pan out years down the line and took them all higher than they should have gone. I'm calling next year's 1st overall pick right now. Jake Locker and he will be a Buffalo Bill. I do think even Oakland has done better than the Bills. I would have loved to have Baltimore's draft. Ozzie Newsome knows what he is doing. That's why Baltimore has a ridiculously great defense every year. Ralph was right. The Bills have been dull and continue to be dull. He forgot to mention they still suck. -
How many of the Bills draft picks over the last 10 years have been outright busts? The vast majority. Same can be said all over the NFL. Nobody, including the guys actually drafting the players knows for sure. I think the Bills draft board is broken. I think Nix is a nut and has lost it and has no idea what he is doing anymore. Could also be he is a genius. Who knows? People who want to spin it positive, go right ahead. You have been doing it for years and you have been wrong almost all of the time. Don't change now. Just fooling yourself into thinking they are on the right track. Who knows, they might be and then again, they may not be. I don't think they were solid picks. I think Nix thinks he is smarter than everyone and is going to show everyone how smart he is. Hope he is.

Nix has a good plan and its coming together
kasper13 replied to DarthICE's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Never can tell how draft picks will do until they actually play in the NFL for a couple years. That said, the Bills have picked crap for the last decade. This could be all crap as well or not. Troupe? Troop? WTF ever it is, that was a reach. Could have had him in the 3rd round. Bit small for a NT. Played at Central Florida. Said he needs to work on technique. Kind of a project. Check back in 2012. Carrington? Please. Had a good week at the Senior Bowl and as such his draft position rose. Another project. Someone said, think it was Steve Young, that teams like Baltimore, Indy, Philly, New England draft character guys that fill a specific role and that's why those teams consistently win or in Baltimore's case always have a top 5 defense. . Following that logic, which I think makes alot of sense, the Bills draft project players that may or may not pan out down the road. Therin lies the problem. In my opinion, I think the 2nd & 3rd round picks just flat out sucked. Time will tell. 30th ranked offense last year. Two days of the draft gone and they added a RB. Lacking on the OL, WR and QB positions. Still need a LB. Looks like rounds 4-7 will be more project type players. Bills can't afford to miss anymore if they are intent on building through the draft. Reaching in rounds 2 through 7 just won't cut it. More of the same as far as I am concerned. -
Didn't want Tebow to begin with so whatever. What is really bugging me are the outright lies. Someone is lying somewhere. It has gone beyond rumors to the point where people (Schefter seems to be the one doing it) are reporting things as fact. Last night it was reported that the Bills were desperate to trade up for Tebow and were very disappointed they couldn't. Nix says that wasn't the case. I like hearing rumors as much as anyone but things being reported as fact that are not true at all really pisses me off. Today I hear the Bills called the Rams about the 33rd pick to take Clausen. Wild, untrue lie or fact? Nobody knows. Bunch of crap. If they want to trade up for the 33rd then just frickin do it and take whomever you are going take. If not, then don't. I don't want to listen to 4 more hours of lies. "Joe Blow told someone somewhere that someone called someone about someone" That's the kind of nonsense being reported as factual information these days. Arrrgh!
-
What's his name? Schefter? Just said again Buffalo tried real hard to get Tebow and they are very disappointed. Also said Minnesota and Cleveland also need a QB and between the three- Bills, Browns and Vikings and only Claussen and McCoy left, one team will lose out and be disappointed. Let me guess, it will be Buffalo. Two major disappointments on Night One of the draft. Funny, but I'm not disappointed at all. I think Tebow is going to do nothing but sell a few jerseys in Denver. There is a reason Claussen went from a Top 10 prospect to not being drafted yet and McCoy is kinda short for a NFL QB. I'll wait for Locker 1st overall in 2011. Eh, Detroit traded for Minnesota's pick. Claussen will be in the 2nd round.

UPDATED: Tim Tebow, QB, Denver Broncos
kasper13 replied to Kingfish's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
If the Bills wanted him so badly, they could have traded up to get him. Duh. Tebow throws like a girl. He is not a NFL QB. Broncos have three stiffs. Kinda like the Bills. -
Why shouldn't doom & gloom reign? The Bills have been bad to really bad for a decade. They are treading water while the Jets and Dolphins have gotten better and the Patriots are, well, the Patriots. Anyone who doesn't think the Bills will finish 4th in the division and not have a losing record, good luck to you. You will just be disappointed once again.

Which would you rather have ?...Marshall at $10 mil
kasper13 replied to papazoid's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
With no more salary cap, you could have all of them. -
I think it has gotten tougher...for the Bills. The other 3 teams will each have 2 easy division games in 2010.

Haynesworth is suited to.......eat. Snyder should be forced to pay every last penny of that contract. No way RW pays anywhere close to that kind of contract for anyone let alone someone totally unmotivated. Why is it that every single player that is available, the Bills should get? Sick of hearing about all the junk we should get and how it would help. NO, IT WON'T!!!! We have enough crap as it is.
-
He is a backup now and not a very good one. Plus his off-field stuff. Odds are he will do something else stupid before too long. I'd trade him to whomever offered anything. Another waste of a draft pick.

[Link] McNabb says if the Eagles ARE gonna trade him...
kasper13 replied to JÂy RÛßeÒ's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I hope he gets traded somewhere else and fast. All he would be here is a short term player and he would help sell a few tickets. It wouldn't do any good for the Bills in the long run. Nobody remember Drew Bledsoe? -
The Eagles reveal that it will take at least a top 42 pick
kasper13 replied to Tipster19's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Of course the Eagles will take the 41st pick for McNabb. They know he is washed up. The guy has taken a beating over the last few years. This would be just the kind of stupid move the Bills would make. They have done it so many times over the last decade. DON'T DO THE SAME STUPID THING AGAIN!!!!! It doesn't work. The Bills are the example that proves it doesn't work. I thought they were going to build through the draft. How does giving up a potential long-term starter at a position of need for a washed up QB with nothing left in the tank help the team build? It doesn't. If they trade for McNabb, you know what the difference will be? 5 wins instead of 3. -
UPDATED: Tim Tebow, QB, Denver Broncos
kasper13 replied to Kingfish's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Not even the smartest scout or GM or whomever knows how a college QB will turn out in the NFL. Ryan Leaf or Peyton Manning? One team was right, one team was wrong. JP Losman was a 1st round pick. Tom Brady was a 6th round pick. Any QB the Bills or any other team drafts and wherever they are drafted, it's like playing the lottery. Most times you lose and every once in awhile you get lucky and win. Patriots and Colts won the jackpot once. People get way too bent out of shape over speculation of who and where someone will be drafted. -
Opinion On What Our Strategy Will Be..........
kasper13 replied to H2o's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
CB's and Safety's early. Can never have enough of those. Undersized DE. Reaches, projects and character guys. Trade to get a second 1st round pick and draft a QB who is a Collins/Johnson/Losman/Edwards type. Why change now? It's worked so well for so long. -
Draft will be held. Probably just have a lottery or something to determine order. I do not think there will be a NFL season in 2011 unless they use replacement players. If there's a lockout though, I don't think they could do that, has to be a strike by the players. Falco twittered he is working out in case they need replacement players. Somebody should also find Todd Schlopy just in case.
-
I said it awhile ago. No more cap also means no minimum. With a lockout looming, owners can spend as little as they want on player salaries. Plus the Bills raised ticket prices. Plus teams stilll have to pay revenue sharing. Plus the Bills get money from New York State/Erie County every year. Plus the Toronto money. Plus the TV and merchandise money. Call it rebuilding, cut all the veterans, don't sign any free agents and Ralph stands to make a fortune just for 2010. If the Bills payroll is $60 million, I would be surprised. I will not be surprised when they go 1-15.
-
It's obvious the Bills are tanking 2010. More I think about it, I really hope they do. They are not getting any better than they were last year by signing a pile of crappy free agents. Jake Locker will be the #1 overall pick in 2011 and will be the Bills QB until at least 2020. He would have been a 1st round pick this year and would have been the best QB available but stayed in school. Lock up the number 1 for 2011, go 0-16 for all I care. If they are going to rebuild, do it right. The Green signing makes no sense but whatever. This year will make 2-14 and 3-13 seasons seem like the good old days. I'm in if that's what they are doing, just don't half-ass it. Dump Whitner and Lynch and get some more draft picks while they are at it.

They just Railed Us on NFL Network (LINK)
kasper13 replied to Silvercrw's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
They are right. Why get upset? The Bills should get ripped everywhere. Ralph promised a ton of change and big spending. We got the change part. Not necessarily for the better as of now. I seriously hope they go 0-16. Save all the insults. Been a fan for 34 years. Not changing. Just saying, they are going to be worse than last year, might as well lose big. I want the QB out of Washington- Jake Locker in 2011. He will be the 1st overall pick. Lock it up. Get it? Morons will probably go and draft Tebow at #9 this year though. That would be really dumb. Go with a stop gap QB this year. Trade Lynch and Whitner. Get about 10 draft picks. Forget free agents. Cornell signing was a waste of money. Fact of the matter is they they should be planning for 2012. This season is already a washout. Short Bills history lesson: they were good in 63, 64, 65, 66, 73, 74, 75, 80, 81, 87, 88, 89, 90, 91, 92, 93, 95, 96, 98, 99. That's 20 out of 50 years. It is irrelevant to the future.
