  1. System? Simple. Run, Run, sack, punt.
  2. Like Nate Clements and Antoine Winfield did. I was hoping he'd sit out the season. Major confidence boost for the Jets and they didn't really need one.
  3. Save $400,000 by leaving 4 spots on the practice squad unfilled. No kidding.
  4. http://nbcsports.msnbc.com/id/39018896/ns/sports-player_news/ 4:20 pm- Coach Brad Childress confirmed Sunday that the Vikings have no intentions of signing free agent T.J. Houshmandzadeh at this time. So by 4:35pm they signed him? Ridiculous.
  5. Not even an hour ago, Vikings coach BC said they were in no way, shape or form interested in TJ. Guess nobody told him they were going to sign him.
  6. All the TE's that were cut and available. Robbie Agnone Keith Zinger Davon Drew Riar Geer Marquez Branson Tyler Lorenzen Lee Vickers Carson Butler John Owens David Martin Nick Arnett Ernest Wilford Mike Caussin Garrett Mills Richie Brockel Dedrick Epps Steve Ryan Steve Pfhaler (No kidding? Last name pronounced "Failer") Jamie Petrowski Jason Pocaisk DajLeon Farr Ryan Purvis Jeron Mastrud Darius Hill Derek Fine Dennis Morris Scott Chandler Corneilus Ingram Colin Cloherty Anthony Becht Sean McHugh Eugene Bright Leroy Banks Joe Jon Finley (Two first names. Count as two players?) Darcy Johnson Tony Curtis Nate Lawrie Joel Gamble Kory Sperry Andrew George (Bills cut) Derek Schouman (Bills injured/waived)
  7. Down to ONE TE on the roster. One. I'd say they are pretty thin there. Hope he can play every offensive snap and not get hurt for 4 weeks. Have to think they will pick up a couple TE's off the scrap heap.
  8. Miami 9 Buffalo 6. Lindell misses a 37 yard FG to tie it at the end.
  9. All claims had to be in by 12pm today. Anyone with less than 4 years in the league is subject to the waiver process. Anyone with 4 or more years of experience is automatically an unrestricted free agent. Once all of that is sorted out, then teams can beging stocking their practice squad. Up to 8 players are allowed per team. I expect to start hearing things beginning at any time now.
  10. I'm not even thinking about improvements over what they have. I'm talking about just fielding a full team on Sunday. The numbers do not make sense. How can they go into the regular season with only 8 offensive lineman and one is Wang who has not played a down yet? Couple injuries and what do they do? How can you win like that? Only two TE's? One can't catch a cold. Yet, they kept 6 safety's. SIX! Maybe a couple of them can play TE.
  11. What is a dumster? Correct term is "Dumpster Diving".
  12. There ain't no cap no more. If there was, the Bills would be something like $14-$17 million UNDER the actual cash-to-crap deal anyway. No reason in the world why they can't pick up a couple guys off the wire for OL and TE help.
  13. Who is going to play OL if there are a couple injuries? TE's? Wait...we have none of those either. Don't forget Wang is injured and hasn't practiced at all, so really they have only 7 healthy OL. Something has to be up with that, figure there are too many DB's and not enough OL. I can't believe they won't make a few moves in the next couple of days.
  14. Quarterback, Wide Receiver and TE positions are terrible. When Edwards gets pressure, he is awful and has nobody to throw to. When teams start game planning, as we will see a week from today, it will get ugly fast. Tackle spots are not good and there is less than zero depth on the OL. Someone gets hurt (and that will happen) and they are really screwed. Curious to see how the defense does but I think it will be a tough transition to the 3-4 especially when they don't have very many good players, especially at the LB position. Injuries and lack of depth will kill this team plus they do not have an easy schedule. Unless they give the ball to Spiller 30 times a game and hold teams to two TD's or less, it will be a very long season.
  15. That's a brutal loss to start things off. North Dakota State? A little ironic their nickname is "Bison".
  16. TJ signed with the Vikings.
  17. Spiller, Jackson, Bell. Denver (or whoever) can do whatever they want with Lynch.
  18. I don't like any of our QB's except Brown and he may end up on the practice squad at best. Brohm is a number three QB on this team and would have been cut pretty much anywhere else.
  19. DENVER. Lendale White tore his achillies. Out for the season. They have other injuries at RB (Moreno and Buckhalter). Call Denver. Whatever they offer, TAKE IT!
  20. Hmmm.....If this ex-player has the correct birthday (6/13/46) listed in his profile, I have some questions. Nobody on the Bills roster between 1967-1972 was born on that day. Nobody on the 1967 team was born in 1946. If you assume that only the birth year is right in the profile, three players played from 1968-1972 with the Bills and were also born in 1946. So, either this person is (A) full of it or (B)got their birthday wrong in their profile and didn't know what year they started with the Bills when they posted their farewell. Just for fun, the Bills went 17- 64- 3 between 1967-1972 including two 1 win seasons (1-12-1 in 1968 and 1-13 in 1971).
  21. What does a good team look like?
  22. Stubhub has decent seats for Saturday going for $4 per pair! Even if you get hit with $5 in fees. That's less than $10 for 2 tickets to a NFL game. Cheapest on TicketExchange is $20 each. Not much cheaper on ebay. This is what I would do. Just go to the game early without tickets. Walk around. There will be plenty of extras floating around. Closer to game time- the cheaper they will be. If you catch someone just willing to get rid of them and not sell them to an unlicensed ticket reseller, you will pay next to nothing. Wait until a few minutes after the game starts and you will probably get in for less than $5. You could also get really lucky and have someone hand you extras for free. Last year for the Kids Day Game, I had 8 tickets, 4 people decided not to go at the last minute because it was brutally hot and it was a preseason game. I ended up giving away 4 tickets. They still get you full price for parking though.
  23. Last time I checked, booing and heckling is as old as sports. Bills players have been booed and heckled by Bills fans since the 60's. Jack Kemp was booed and had beer cans and whiskey bottles thrown at him. Joe Feguson was booed. Jim Kelly was booed and heckled by Bills fans many times. All three of those guys were better than Trent Edwards any day of the week. Should the "kids" have heckled TE? Who cares? Should Gailey have said something? Who cares? Non-issue. Besides, anything autographed by Trent Edwards is pretty worthless anyway.
  24. Wouldn't be surprised if they just hold open tryouts this week. Injuries are getting to be totally ridiculous.
  25. Plus in terms of actual salary cap, the Bills have been 10-15 million under every year for the last handful of years. If there would have been a cap this year, it would have been $130 million or so. That would have put the Bills $15 million under. In addition, 16 teams have QB's that make $10 million + per year. To me, that all shows the Bills have not drafted well, not signed any significant free agents, have no stars let alone superstars and are lacking a franchise quarterback. That would explain the lack of winning football around here since 1999. Brings up a question too. Why would Ralph Wilson spend any more than he has to? It would cut into his profits. Fans complain non-stop about the lack of a winner yet fill the stadium every home game and are threatened with the team moving if they don't, even though that has nothing to do with them moving or not. All the money that comes in from TV, merchandise, Toronto, Erie County, NY State, tickets, parking, beer. Mr. Wilson has a nice little racket going for himself and has for a long time. If he would have spent a little more on scouting, coaches and players, maybe a few of those mediocre teams would have been at least Wild Card teams. Guess old Ralph found out he can take all his money with him when he goes. Disturbing.
