One important question I have on the last drive
BillsFanSD replied to Thunderstruck's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Beasley might as well be triple-covered on that play. Allen is looking at Brown and is about 1/2 second away from being sacked. There is no possibility of looking across to the other side of the field, seeing Beasley, and getting him the ball. It is Brown-or-bust on this play. And honestly, having Brown one-on-one is a pretty good match-up. I would have liked to have seen a higher-percentage play, but I don't hate this one. -
When can we start to admit that the process failed?

JFC. Allen won this game for us, and then put us in a position to force overtime after the defense blew the lead he created. He's going nowhere anytime soon. -
One forced turnover by Bills D in five weeks
BillsFanSD replied to Ethan in Cleveland's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I agree, and this has been infuriating. We can't get pressure with our front four, and turnovers simply aren't coming. Even just one today could have been a game-changer. -
Josh Allen - week TEN report card
BillsFanSD replied to rayray808's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Thanks for this sense of perspective. Last year's team was terrible, to the point that I still can't believe they won 6 games. This team is much better, but still has a way to go. I'm very disappointed in the defense, but I have a lot of confidence in the front office to take another step forward in the off-season. We're on the right trajectory. -
Singletary finishes with EIGHT rushing attempts
BillsFanSD replied to wiseman3's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Yeah I just absolutely don't get this one. This is one of the worst run defenses in the league, and your best back gets only 8 carries. That's indefensible. -
Bills at Browns Post Game Post Mortem
BillsFanSD replied to Hapless Bills Fan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I agree. He led what should have been a game-winning drive, and then followed it up with what should have been an over-time-forcing drive. Clearly not a perfect game by any means, but he was fine. -
He led the go-ahead drive, and then led the drive that should have resulted in OT. He did his part.

I was just thinking to myself, "Well, at least people won't be stupidly dragging Josh Allen for this one." Then I read the thread. Should have known better.

Hauschka deserves his share of criticism, but he's not the one who let the Browns walk right down the field while trying to protect a 4-point lead.

Grading the next generation of quarterbacks...CBS Article
BillsFanSD replied to Hebert19's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
But I thought Allen was terrible. Now I just don't know what to believe. -
Yes, I would swap Josh Allen -- a work in progress -- for a guy who I already know will go on to be a first-ballot HOFer. I would also swap Josh Allen for a 2nd-year Dan Marino, John Elway, Joe Montana, Steve Young, etc. That doesn't mean I'm not optimistic about Allen.

That was clear, unambiguous PI. Replay would not have overturned it because the replay officials are refusing to do their jobs.

I absolutely loved this pick on draft day, and I am starting to get worried. Not sure what the issue is, but I hope it gets sorted out.

How is that even possible? My wife was more svelt when she was 9 months pregnant.

Josh Allen - week NINE report card
BillsFanSD replied to rayray808's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
They didn't ask him to do too much today, so there's not a lot to evaluate. The fumble was bad, as was the missed slant to Brown. But he had a brilliant play to escape a sack resulting in a deep pass that Brown should have caught. Good game overall. B. -
Best start since 1993.
BillsFanSD replied to Pine Barrens Mafia's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I agree. This team probably isn't going to make any noise in the playoffs. But they were awful last year and on track for a playoff berth this year. That's a huge step forward. -
Postgame Thread Bills Redskins

I feel pretty confident about Denver, Miami, and NYJ. Less confident in Cleveland and Pittsburgh. Likely losses against Dallas and Baltimore, but it's not like it would stunning to pull off a win against either. No way at New England. It seems like we should be able to get our wins out of that. -

The offense was very good today. They failed to convert on short yardage a few times, but otherwise they did a nice job. The drive-killers were handing the ball off to Gore straight up the middle, when that play was simply not working at all. -

6-2 and a nice finish to this game. -
Glazer: Bills are still in market for a WR
BillsFanSD replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
We're not one player away from anything. After yesterday, I'm thinking the rebuild has another solid offseason to go. So I'm fine with not trading away draft capital if that's what the team decides to do. -
Our next 4 games are very winnable
BillsFanSD replied to Victory Formation's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Today was not winnable given how the team played. We gave up a 65-yard run right up the middle, and a game-killing drive that took like 25 minutes off the clock when we needed to get the ball back to our offense. In the second half, the Eagles had drives and points whenever they wanted them. Our offense is much improved from last year (when it was abominable), but it's not good enough to overcome these sorts of setbacks.
