Not who I would have picked, but he was generally considered a first round pick and fell to us late in round two at an area of need. I'm happy.

I loved the Diggs trade regardless, but I'm super-loving it now that I see how the draft went.

This is exactly how I'm looking at it. There are almost certainly some WRs in this class who will be better than Diggs. But a) we don't know who they are and b) the probability that we actually select one of those guys is under 50-50 and c) they won't be as good as Diggs now and d) Diggs is a sure thing who instantly improves our offense across the board. I'm very happy with this trade.

Yes. Beane is our best GM since the super bowl years, and McDermott is our best coach since -- arguably -- forever. No disrespect to Marv.

I like this trade a lot. Despite living in Viking country, I admittedly haven't watched a lot of their games, so I'm relying on Beane evaluating Diggs accurately. But a late 1st and an assortment of Day Three picks who probably weren't making our roster anyway is a very reasonable price to pay for a #1 WR, especially considering that he should immediately make Brown and Beasley and Knox better too. Glad the team is in "win now" mode. Let's get it done.

I'm going to the Vegas game no matter when it is and no matter what the ticket prices are. I don't even care about coronavirus -- it won't be the first time I've gotten sick watching the Bills.

We have more draft picks than spots available on the roster. This is the perfect year to trade up, not down.

I dunno. This assumes that Kraft approaches the situation like a jerk. I think Kraft might instead be able to massage things and arrive at a happy ending with Belichick. Gotta hand it to the guy if he does.

Nah, this is absolutely the right year to trade up if we can get good value. We have nine draft picks. Nine rookies are not making this roster. Might as well spend a few to get the guys we really want, if they're there.

FAILURE. But seriously though, winning the division should absolutely be our primary regular season goal. None of us are spoiled and I certainly won't turn down a wildcard berth, but the division is there for the taking.

Houston lost the game on their last possession. They had all kinds of time and were able to move the ball, but they milked the clock and were clearly just playing for a FG to force OT. That drive was a good illustration of how their team went into a shell after the Bills scored those four unanswered TDs to get back into the game.

Josh Allen would have completed that 4th down attempt for a TD. That roll-to-your-right-throw-back-to-the-left is like the Platonic form of a JA play.

Oh well. I think he would have been a nice fit here, but on to the combine.

This game got exciting.

Man, I know this was a long time ago, but I am still gutted over this one. I thought Ngata was totally ours, and then we drafted Whitner. Gutted.

At this point, with no FA moves and no draft picks in, 8.5 wins seems about right to me. I'm pulling for the over of course, but our schedule isn't going to be as soft next year and we could easily finish the season with a better roster but worse record. Last year's line of 6.5 was ludicrously low and it was pretty easy to predict that we were going to cover it with room to spare. Not so sure about this one.

It'll just be that much more impressive when we go 13-3 and make a deep playoff run.
