Did we ever find out exactly what happened on the unsportsmanlike conduct penalty? There was nothing obvious on the television broadcast.

I agree with you, but think about how wild that is. If I told you in 2018, before the draft, than one of the five first-round QBs would be a total bust who appeared in only a handful of NFL games, we all would have assumed that Mr. Bust would have been either Josh Allen or Lamar Jackson, right? Those two guys were the two rawest prospects by far out of that draft class. But as it turned out those are the only two clear "hits" out of that class. I'd say the jury's still out on Mayfield, Darnold is looking more like a "miss" with each passing week (playing for the Jets doesn't help), and we all know what happened to Wrong Josh.

I think he's as good as gone, unfortunately. Everybody -- including the most die-hard JA supporters -- new that Allen was a raw boom-or-bust pick before the draft. The fact that Daboll made him into a stud is going to get him a job. (Not saying that this is all Daboll of course, just that guys who appear to develop QBs get HC gigs).

If you have Allen as anything less than a solid A this week, you don't watch enough football.

As great as Allen has been, the defense needs to get it turned around. You can't count on lights-out play by #17 in every single game.

Josh Allen really should have apologized before the game for running over the official's dog. I assume something like that happened given the officiating.

I love Ed Oliver, but yes that should have been a penalty and yes it's dirty. Also, it's good for your mental health to file away plays like that where the officials blew a call that worked in our benefit. It helps balance out the pain when a bad call goes the other way.

Pats are the team to beat, but the entire United States -- aside from the Boston area code -- is rooting for us.

Allen threw that last TD to Brown with way too much time left on the clock, which allowed the Dolphins to cover the spread in garbage time. Huge mental error.

How many Bills fans would trade Allen for Sam Darnold? None. How many Jets fans secretly would trade Darnold for Allen? Nearly all of them. That's all I need to know.

Obviously the NFL should do a better job with this. It's just absurd that in The Year of Our Lord 2020 we can't determine whether a field goal was good or not. But . . . a) We won the game. Very comfortably. Maybe -- maybe -- we were robbed of 3 points, but it made no difference whatsoever. The game was already well in hand. b) For the purposes of evaluating Bass, it doesn't matter whether the kick was barely good or barely wide. For a professional PK, anything under 40 yards should be right down the middle. A 38 yard FG attempt should not be an exciting adventure. Sure, this particular kick affected Bass's numbers, but his kicks were erratic all day. Even if this kick had been ruled good, there is no way the Bills coaching staff would have been pleased with Bass's performance. That doesn't mean giving up on him, but it does mean not being wed to him either. c) See point (a) above. d) Let's beat Miami.

Well I'll be darned. I can't recall ever noticing that before, although I do have the Ticket so I'm not necessarily paying a ton of attention to which game is on what network.

Why is Giants-Bears a CBS game?

I'm completely convinced that a lot of these people who nitpick every JA pass don't watch any other NFL games. Was the ball placement the Beasley reception perfect? No, obviously not. But literally every QB in every game has passes like that. Nobody has the kind of pinpoint 100% accuracy on every pass that certain folks seem to expect from Allen.

Also, PFF points to those five incompletions as further evidence that Allen is inaccurate and will never be a quality NFL starter.

The Bills had no problem running the football last year. Our OL is marginally better this year, our backfield is younger, and we have a scarier passing game that defenses have to account for. I'm not at all worried about this part of the team.
