  1. Miami shows real promise and they seem to have a good coaching staff in place, but I don't think there's any serious question which team is better in 2020. I'd happily swap schedules with them, but no way would I swap rosters. This will be a good rivalry in future seasons.
  2. I'm the exact same way. Basically I'm useless on Mondays during football season. Bills win = all I want to do is read about the game, talk about the game, watch highlights of the game, etc. Bills loss = all I want to do is sit in a corner and mope. Fortunately my job allows for a lot of time-shifting so it's not really that big a deal. Thank god I'm not an air traffic controller or trauma surgeon or something like that.
  3. I mean, why not just have Terry Pegula come down and cover that hail mary while we're at it.
  4. I literally woke my son up so he and I could watch the fourth quarter of a "meaningless" win against Dallas in a game that nobody gave us any chance to win. He's about to graduate from college and still gives me **** about that lol.
  5. To clarify, Wide Right and Homerun Throwback are clearly #1 and #2 on my list, with the Dallas game solidly at #3. Just saying that Just Give It To 'Em is a good, clean example of the officials literally handing the game to the other team for reasons known only to them.
  6. I'm 48 years old and I'm still legit mad about "just give it to 'em." That game occupies a special place in my heart because I was on the road that weekend to interview for the job that I currently hold. This was back in the bad old days of highly limited internet and I had to go off highlight shows to see what happened. It took a couple of days for it to sink in just how preposterous that loss was.
  7. If you watch the NFL besides just Bills games, somebody seems to take a loss like this one nearly every week. This week was our turn. It's one thing to eat this sort of loss against a scrub team that you're supposed to beat. Coming off a win against Seattle and knowing that we were one PD from a win against Arizona, it's a lot easier to absorb this one knowing that you went toe to toe with a legit super bowl contender. I'm very unhappy having the win ripped out of our hands (literally) at the last second, but it counts the same as the three point loss we take if Allen doesn't find Diggs or the whatever loss if our defense doesn't keep Arizona more or less in check. My guess is that this game just affects playoff seeding in a way that's impossible to evaluate right now. We were most likely never getting a first round bye, so it just affects our draw.
  8. Agreed 100%. This is the second game in a row where our defense actually played extremely well even though it doesn't look like it in the stat sheet, and of course all of us will remember the last play for the rest of our lives, so there's also the availability heuristic at work. This loss goes to Arizona for a sensational (if flukey) play at the end, then to our offense for not scoring enough quite enough points. The defense played well enough to get us the win.
  9. For the record, the defense played as well as you could have realistically expected them to play. Except for one play, of course. But we never take the lead with 37 seconds left to go if it wasn't for the defense.
  10. This thread needs to be "Besides Frank Reich, who is . . . "
  11. I think most people associated with that organization look back fondly on the day they left the Jets.
  12. I see you're unfamiliar with PFF's body of work.
  13. Well deserved and kind of a no-brainer.
  14. Yep. Nothing to worry about this year, but we're going be seeing a lot of this guy for the next decade. Way too early to call this Kelly vs. Marino, but you can see the potential there.
  15. Flores can argue all he wants, but your tackle is not an eligible receiver. Sorry buddy.
  16. OMG what a horse#### PI call on Arizona.
  17. I know this is a week late, but it's worth noting that KC just barely squeaked by Carolina. Strangely though, it still counts as a W for the Chiefs. But I'm sure they feel bad about it.
  18. I've wondered about this too. Obviously it's impossible right now to disentangle his development as a player from the practice-like feel of today's games, but I'm just going to sit back and enjoy it.
  19. It must really suck to be a fan of this team and still be completely incapable of enjoying a signature win over a SB-caliber opponent.
  20. Of course Arizona opens the game with a defensive TD.
  21. Whole lotta people had this game in the "not a chance" category earlier in the week . . .
  22. Allen Klein White Diggs
  23. If the national media wants to spend all their time talking about two teams sitting at home in January while we're hosting a playoff game, what do I care?
  24. I would feel pretty good about this matchup. Also the Browns or Raiders. I'm assuming all the "one and done"ers have never watched the NFL playoffs before. Top seeds get knocked off all the time -- no reason why the Bills can't be this year's Tennessee.
