  1. This is why they're not going to be that tough an out.
  2. I loved the option of switching to different audio commentary. The regular announcers were trash, but the "scouts" commentators were actually really good. They knew football, talked Xs and Os, and generally brought far more candid insight than what you normally get during any NFL broadcast. More importantly, though, they were having fun, which made their banter a joy to listen to. It was like watching the game with a few buddies. If the NFL goes this route, it would be a no-brainer to make home and away radio coverage available as listening options, too.
  3. Well, there is a little bit of intrigue at the QB position this offseason. Specifically, (1) how much are we going to pay to extend Allen, and when, and (2) will we get an upgrade over Barkley. Those are both important.
  4. They should rename it the Josh Allen Award for Ongoing Excellence and General Badassery.
  5. I actually feel bad for Jets fans. They've suffered in the wilderness for as long as we did, with all sorts of weird embarrassments along the way (e.g. getting jilted by Belichick, the butt-fumble). Their fans mostly seem like good guys, with not a bandwagon-jumper among them. They don't deserve this. Still gonna laugh though, and still glad if we don't end up with TL in our division.
  6. This is looking like it's our year.
  7. Yep. Also, all this talk about league MVP is going to seem kind of silly when Allen is Super Bowl MVP.
  8. If he's ready to play, he should play. That said, I have no objection to putting him on a snap count and easing him back into things.
  9. My preferred matchups are, in order: 1. Miami. If they make the playoffs, it'll be a year ahead of schedule and their fans would be right to be happy. But they gotten there with smoke and mirrors, relying on their opponents to beat themselves. Tua may develop into a good QB, but he's not one at this stage of his career, and I have a hard time imagining this team keeping pace with our offense. They're a better team with Fitz. 2. Indianapolis. Their defense is good, but we've embarrassed better defenses. Geriatric Phillip Rivers is not scary at all -- this is the type of offense I would most like to face. If Frank Reich weren't involved, so that my superstitious side wasn't triggered, I might bump the Colts up to #1 on this list. 3. Cleveland. To me there is a clear gap from #2 to #3. Cleveland isn't as good as we are and we would be solid favorites over them, but they're a balanced team with a good running game, functional passing game, and pretty decent defense. Nothing we can't overcome, but it would be nice to play someone more one-dimensional. 4. Baltimore. Not a great team, but Jackson is good enough to give his team a chance to beat anybody. 5. Tennessee. Similar to Cleveland, only better across the board. I would feel kind of jobbed if we finish 13-3 or 12-4 and end up having to play the Titans in the first round.
  10. 2nd seems worth it. Two home games.
  11. He's giving Rich Kotite a strong push for WOAT.
  12. The league really wants to see Tampa win.
  13. Belichick has man boobs.
  14. Houston was about to score to send the game into OT, but the runner fumbled just before crossing the goal line. Indianapolis recovers in the end zone. Game over.
  15. Goodbye, New England. You will not be missed.
  16. Indianapolis scores to take a 7 point lead with 1:47 to play.
  17. Jerry Hughes is probably lobbying for some snaps in the backfield.
  18. Indy with first and goal at the 2 (?) tied at 20 with 2:00 to go. Houston has all of their TOs. Good finish.
  19. I agree. The guy who caught the ball could have just run it in -- the ladder just added some unnecessary complexity and another chance for things to go wrong IMO.
  20. Games getting good late. HOU and DET are hanging in there.
  21. Good decision on his part -- why would he want to go against 14?
  22. Yeah the CBS crawl said it was his knee.
