I really don't agree, and I'm not just saying that to be a homer. I really think Tua does not have the arm strength, pocket awareness, or frame to to succeed in the NFL. He looks fine playing against teams like the Lions and Ravens, who give him wide-open WRs that he can sort of hit if he puts all his strength into it. He's not a QB who is capable of beating good teams. That includes us, by the way -- Miami won that game thanks to weather conditions and self-inflicted mistakes by the Bills, not anything Tua did. To be clear, I don't think Tua "stinks." He's fine, and the Dolphins can definitely win with him. But he's a guy you can win with, not a guy who wins games.

I was about to say "Well yeah, obviously, Green Bay won't play in Buffalo for another 8 years so of course we won't see Rodgers at Buffalo again." But then it occurred to me that he'll probably be QB'ing the Colts three years from now so maybe we'll get to see him then.

Ravens gave us all we could handle a couple of weeks ago. I wouldn't write them off just yet.

I know we're supposed to want Baltimore to lose, but I just can't root for Brady. Screw it.

Week 8: SNF Packers at Bills (-10.5) 10/30 8:20pm

Looking ahead, 538 has us favored by less than a TD in only one remaining game this season (at Cincy). We're favored by 7+ in 10 out of the next 11. That's honestly jaw-dropping. -
RIP. Gonna have to chew a swizzle stick today in his memory.

It's only week 7 and inevitably some team or another will get hot down the stretch, but right now it should be obvious that at least 2-3 "fraudulent" teams will make the playoffs in the AFC. (The NFC has its only quality issues too, of course). The Bills and Chiefs are legitimately good. The Ravens and Chargers are legitimate playoff teams that can give anybody a game on the right day, including us. The Bengals are starting to turn a corner, maybe. That leaves at least two spots for teams that nobody is going to afraid of in January. I'm just hoping we get lucky and draw the Jets or Dolphins or some other scrub team in the divisional round. That's going to require an upset in a WC game, but does anybody really think that a team like Tennessee is a lock over the Dolphins? I sure don't.
