I really doubt Cleveland is gonna trade out of number 1. This is their opportunity to finally draft a franchise QB so it just wouldn't make sense for them to trade out.
Everyone assumes that were gonna trade with the Giants and go up to 2. But the thing is Dave Gettleman has NEVER traded down in his career. This tells me the Giants are staying put at 2 and taking the best player on their board.
The Jets will take a quarterback at 3 (either Allen or Rosen).
So 4th is likely the highest position we will be able to move up to and at that point at least 2 quarterbacks will be off the board.
So in other words it looks like were !@#$ed.
I got chills after the Bengals game but to be honest that feeling was completely negated after the Jags game.
It was sickening how poorly our offense performed in that game.
If we wanted to trade with the Browns for the 1st pick in the draft do you think they'd accept this offer?
Bills gets:
2018 Browns 1st overall pick
2018 Browns 4th round (101)
Cleveland gets:
2018
Bills 1st round (12 overall)
Bills 1st round (22nd overall)
Bills 2nd rounder (53rd)
Bills 3rd rounder (65th)
2019
Bills 1st round pick
Would that be enough to get it done?
This really sucks but when you consider all our draft capital shouldn't we still be able to trade up to 1 or 2?
And we could always throw is next year's 1st if we really needed to...
Whatever we need to give up I'm fine with it.
Quarterback is too important in this league. We gotta do whatever it takes it to trade up and get our guy.
The 2004 draft was the stupidest thing ever.
All we had to do was move ahead of Pittsburgh and we would've had Big Ben.
But Donahoe was a complete idiot and said the asking price was too much.
