    They already have with DirecTV Now Right now AT&T / DirecTV is in both the business of Platform and Content delivery. The Platform delivery / last mile of service is what costs them the most to maintain. Satelites, cabling, technicians, call centers, etc cost a ton of money. Helluva lot cheaper to ride somebody else's infrastructure (your ISP) for free I suspect what AT&T and other cable providers are going to end up doing is to develop their own internet connected devices like a Roku, FireTV, AndroidTV, or AppleTV. Then they will charge a monthly fee for the service and send you the box to access their content.

Ohio St's loss was a Prime Time embarrassment to Purdue The Major Bowls are probably going to shake out something like this Rose Bowl (B1G vs PAC12 champs): Ohio St vs Washington Sugar Bowl (Big12 vs SEC champs): Texas vs Georgia (with both conference champs in the CFP, the runners up are representing) Peach and Fiesta (At large bids): UCF, Michigan, Florida, and Washington St. LSU and Penn St can each argue a stronger claim to a bid over Washington St, but the bid will go to a PAC12 team due to an SEC and B1G already represented. Penn St and LSU both get a consolation prize of a lesser New Years Bowl, facing off in the Citrus Bowl. And lets face it, Penn St vs LSU is a much more interesting national broadcast than Penn St vs Kentucky or Northwestern vs LSU

PPP rant aside, their justification for Clemson being dropped is that Oklahoma and Ohio St would boast better resumes as Conference champs. The selection committee has already established the precedent that Conference Championships are not a requirement in 2016 by selecting Ohio St over Penn St and in 2017 by selecting Alabama over Ohio St *addendum, just as soon as I hit OK on the last post, Georgia just went up 21-7. If this continues, Georgia will make this argument irrelevant
