he doesn't need a sideline hand holder -

Josh is not a rookie. If he's an elite QB, he has to be elite ALL OF THE TIME -

The problem you are seeing is what we see every year... We value the slugs on this roster because they wear the logo. Kinkaid is not a difference maker, nor a #1 passing option in any offense. Samuel is not a starting level WR. Shakir is legit, but about to become a focal point of defenses upon his return MVS is done. Hollis is not to be a big part of any offense. He's a special teams player. End of story. Knox? Knox? Knox? Has anyone seen Knox? Ray Davis is not an important part of the offense. Ty Johnson is not a valuable RB Buffalo is a middling team that is above also rans (such as the Dolphins, Jaguars, Cardinals), but they are not competitive with quality NFL teams -

True. And in two years, we hope we're happy with his development. Unfortunately, this is a competitive team now and he's being relied upon. The missed tackle, OK, unfortunate, but it happens. Letting a guy run by you while STILL looking into the backfield is not excusable at the middle school flag level let alone for an NFL player. -

I don’t see criticism of a WR corps that is clearly getting b**chslapped by a bad secondary -

Don’t be absurd The trick play was stupid, both in conception & timing, but this is a good football team playing against a team they are not built to beat -

My eyes rolled at the formation they were seizing control of the game no, not a genius choice -
20 minutes of possession already. Keep controlling the clock and wear out the Jets D

Yeah. Pretty much. I come in to see some responses to specific plays, but as I continue to read I become worried about our species in general

Might I refer you to the results at halftime and the final score of week 1?

If Brown is not going to excel as a pass blocker, nor a run blocker, then they need to stop waiting for the promise and look for an upgrade
-
But what do I know.
-
while his foot is down, the line is extended out of bounds. The ball crossed that line before he went airborne. Once airborne, the sideline is the edge. This should be overturned.

It’s that half that regularly posts on this board

It’s not a need pick

To be honest, this loss tells us where this team is. They are NOT the deepest roster in football. Last year hurt WAY more. The game in KC was winnable. With that roster. This year, they simply suffered too many setbacks, some external, some self inflicted. This team can still win it all, but they have work to do to be sure.
-
Based on the salary cap, there will be inevitable changes on the roster. The problem will be McD looking at what NEEDS to be done to get more our of the position groups that annually underperform. I think Kromer needs another year, but Washington has to go. They need to have a better plan for the secondary. We cannot continue to play base zone when press man is needed against elite offenses.

This off-season need not be about getting home field next year. That did bippy today. This team needs to become more physical. At the catch point both offensively and defensively, on the line of scrimmage, on both sides of the ball, in the running game, and as tacklers defensively. Josh plays physical. That your QB is the most physical player on your team is not a good look.

A big problem here is our expectation versus the reality we refused to see. Remember when McKenzie was the training camp darling? Remember drafting a 1st round CB and then the belief we'd be significantly better than last year? Knox's contract? Roger Stafford? Spencer Brown? Josh as the best player in FB? All WAY over-hyped. Today is a real reality check.
