  1. Most of those look really good. I'm particularly interested in Big Fan and Mystery Team.
  2. Nah, it's much more fun to draft a collection of 5'9" DBs.
  3. In other words "I want to play for a big market team and try to win a Super Bowl." Don't get your hopes up guys.
  4. I disagree. Nicholson's Joker was Jack Nicholson playing the Joker. Ledger's Joker was the Joker brought to life.
  5. Who the hell would have suspected that we'd only win 2 more friggin games all season. What a disgrace.
  6. Yeah the results aren't exactly well thought out. However, I understand the anger that ignited this. That video is horrific.
  7. I wouldn't mind him on the team, but I think he's going to come with a hefty price tag. Not because he deserves it, but because he thinks he deserves it. I'd rather spend the money on DE.
  8. With the exception of the Peppers/Haynesworth thing and the QB thing I think every one of those things could and should be done. I'd rather see a veteran QB come in than drafting another project.
  9. I'm usually a "best player available" kind of guy, but I agree with you that sometimes that doesn't work out with a team like Buffalo. Whereas most teams can confidently draft for need and fill holes through free agency and player development it seems the Bills have certain problem positions that never get addressed. So sometimes you might have to overspend in order to pick a high draft pick that potentially could fill that need.
  10. I think the Donahoe era was his last attempt at grabbing that elusive glory. Once that fizzled I think his competitiveness died with it.
  11. "Most of our inheritance?" Are you friggin kidding me? The money we're talking about is a drop in the bucket compared to the payday those people are in for when Ralph dies. I'm not asking Ralph to operate at a loss. How spending as much on the team as the revenue that comes in. I saw an article on here (can't find the link) that showed the Bills are making an operating profit of $30 million a year. That's a nice paycheck for Ralph to be the owner of the Bills. How about taking half that money and reviving the franchise?
  12. Oh I'm sure they'll take a safety. It just won't be this one. He sounds too good for our scheme and I bet he's not a character guy.
  13. I'd love to see UB go to the Big East. As someone pointed out earlier in the thread there will need to be a strong program in place once the Bills leave.
  14. Big. Strong. Fast. Those are the only criteria that matter. The rest is just overthinking.
  15. It's OK. Maybe if it's repeated enough times the Ralph "Bidwell" Wilson clan will see it somewhere and start taking it to heart.
  16. That's another thing, along with "doesn't fit our scheme" that I'm sick of hearing about; "character." What a crock of sh--.
  17. Because I think picking players to fit a "scheme" is bull sh--. Pick the best football players available and then figure out the best way to use them on the field. Guess what I think Ngata would play just fine in our scheme. I don't know a defensive scheme in the world that doesn't include a big dude that is super strong and aggressive taking on multiple offensive linemen. If there is a coaching staff out there that can't figure out what to do with that then they have problems. Drafting players to fit some idea of what is and isn't called for in a defensive scheme is foolish in my opinion.
  18. The only player I'm interested in going back in time and drafting from that draft is Ngata.
  19. Why can't you have your cake and eat it too? I mean it's not like the vast majority of those bowl games have any bearing on the national championship picture. So with the playoffs you could still have the bowl matchups for the teams that don't get into the playoff and still have the playoffs.
  20. I know it's a tired discussion, but they REALLY need a friggin playoff. The argument that the athletes would miss too much time from school is nonsense considering how long the bowl season is.
  21. My two favorite are. My brother and I were watching Monday Night Football. The Bills were taking on the Rams. Jim Kelly was hurt and Frank Reich would be starting. We were told to go to bed at 10. We waited until we were sure our parents were asleep and snuck out into the living room to watch Frank Reich rally the team to a win. The next was in person with my Father and my Brother. We went to the AFC Championship game against the Chiefs. There was a lot of snow on the ground, it was frigid, and the stadium was electric. A bonus was getting to see Joe Montana play. A really big bonus was seeing him lose to the Bills. Good times.
