So if everyone in the division switches to a spread offense should we do so as well? Would you care to tell me where we are going to get the personnel needed to run the 3-4? Because really there are few players on this team that are suited for a 3-4 defense. In my opinion the 3-4 only works as a base defense when you have players with a very specific skill set. Namely a nose tackle that can take on 2-3 blockers per play and defensive ends that can consistently fight through double teams. It does create confusion for the quarterback because of the different blitz packages and coverages that you can throw at him, but I don't think the Bills have the talent at LB to take advantage of this either.

I don't care about my wife, but my six year old son is starting to show signs of becoming a Ravens fan. I can't really blame him. He's never even been to Buffalo, so why would he be a Bills fan? And the Ravens sure have had more to cheer about lately. Just sad though.

I'll say this about Gailey. I saw more fire in that press conference than I ever did from Jauron. So to call him the "Offensive version of Jauron," doesn't seem apt.

For the life of me I will never figure out what is the fascination with the 3-4 around here.

I started watching in the second quarter when it was still 3-3 and I couldn't believe how quiet they were. Maybe it's the sound, but it's just a very mellow crowd. Especially for a dome.

So Frazier would have been his choice for head coach in a hypothetical job that he didn't even want. Does anyone else have a hard time believing that he would have thought that far into it if he didn't even take the job?

Is there even a crowd at the game? Because I can't hear them. I'm assuming they're just all cardboard cutouts. Those fans don't deserve such a team.

Not according to the "Let's switch to the 3-4" faction around here. I agree with you. There isn't an LB in the league that can make a difference in a game if there isn't a solid line in front of them.

The point is they're both decided by the media and fans. Just like they decide who is an acceptable "Name" coach, they decide who among the numerous coordinators around the league are the "up and comers." My point is if you deride people for relying on public opinion in wanting a "name" coach. Why do you then turn around and try to reassure people because Frazier is one of the coordinator du jour.

He's only been the coordinator for three years. But that's beside the point. I just don't see what he has done to warrant consideration as a head coach candidate. If the Bills go with him it will be a signal to me that they are going the cheap route once again. They have once again gone with an underling at head coach that Ralph is comfortable won't challenge his absolute authority on the team in any way. And as for the other guys you mention, who the heck said anything about anyone else? I never said I wanted Haslett. I just said that I absolutely don't want Frazier. He has only three years experience at a coordinator level. No head coaching experience on the NFL level. I also believe that he's a product of looking good because of an abundance of talent on the Vikings defense. AND he runs the Tampa 2, which I despise. So add it all up and I don't want anything to do with the guy. Sorry.
