  1. I can understand not following the Bills anymore, but I don't get cheering for another team.
  2. It takes 3 years IF you get the right front office people making the right decisions and set up a coaching organization that can get the most out of the players. I'm not convinced the Bills have either one of these things in place, so I'm sure its just another case of spin your wheels for three years, fire everyone except the people that are really screwing up this organization, and find a new group to sell to the public.
  3. Fewell was a good defensive coordinator. I'm not sure that he will ultimately be a good head coach. Time will tell, but I don't think success as a coordinator is any indication of future success as a head coach.
  4. I've never been a fan of the 3-4 defense, but to make matters worse for the Bills they've had years of a defensive philosophy that values mobility over size in its players to a ludicrous degree. That is the perfect recipe for a disastrous switch to a 3-4, the results of which we are seeing now. I was hoping against hope that I was being too pessimistic about this switch, but I guess not. The Bills are 5-6 players and several years away from having an adequate defense.
  5. Do you even watch football? Alex Smith is awful. There is a reason that this awful player won't play for San Francisco, an awful team, next year. What could possibly be gained by bringing in a player like this to simply be a place holder?
  6. What would be the more scary scenario: that Ralph Wilson is purposely driving the team into the ground or that he is trying hard to develop a winning franchise and failing miserably?
  7. Well that's the biggest hypothetical in this thread.
  8. Yeah, if you think it was hard finding a coach this time, fire Chan Gailey mid-season and the Bills will have to scour the high schools for their next coach.
  9. I guess they figure the product on the field has gotten so bad that its time to start distributing TVs for people to watch while at the stadium.
  10. I don't know why, but this article reminded me of the Cleveland tourism videos.
  11. Definitely not a great episode. I'll hope for better next week.
  12. I think you've been watching too much Major League. If Ralph wanted to move he'd just move. He just loves milking this franchise for mega millions every year and knows that no other city would put up with his bull ****.
  13. God I hope not. It's a gadget offense that is already dying in this league.
  14. Randy Moss is in the final year of his contract, which the Patriots have chosen not to extend. Despite what people on this board seem to think Lynch was NOT in the final year of his contract. So basically the net result of this move is Ralph Wilson gets to save some more money. Hooray.
  15. At this point I think I'd prefer it if you were the GM. I'd definitely prefer it if you were the owner.
  16. Under what circumstances? What is this insane drive to get rid of all the Bills players? I'm all for improving, but this doesn't make the team better.
  17. What does that have to do with me wanting the Bills to hire him?
  18. I hated the idea of switching to a 3-4. In general I do not like the 3-4. However, once you have decided to switch you need to stick with it and acquire the talent you need to make it work.
  19. I really wanted to see Brian Billick become the Bills next head coach.
  20. I'm getting a little sick of the front office being so accommodating to these requests.
  21. Sadly, I think you're right. I wanted to believe it wasn't true going into the season, but it's true. When have you ever heard of a team cutting their starting QB after week 3? That should give us an indication of just how bad things are. BTW, I find your username completely appropriate for this conversation. I bet you'd LOVE to have Bledsoe back at this point.
  22. AFL and AFC championships don't count. They've won the World Series. The Bills never will win the ultimate prize in their league, unless they get sent down to the UFL.
  23. Deferring is a solid choice. If your defense can come out pumped up and get a quick stop then you'll get fantastic field position for your first offensive series and you get the bonus of coming out at halftime with the ball. Additionally, depending on the kick, the other team has a long field to get a score. Unfortunately for the Bills, nobody on that defense has any heart.
