I've always been an athletic guy. I HATED the gym though. My 30s have been too sedentary and I feel like I need to get things going again. A big motivation for me is my son has started wrestling and I feel like a bit of a hypocrite pushing him in his conditioning and not being in shape myself.

That's a shame. Probably means we won't get Fairley now.

I've decided to go back. Anyone have any good advice for a beginning workout routine including weights and cardio. Any good online resources? Any help is appreciated.

The only problem with opening this can of worms is what about all the athletes in the non-revenue generating sports? Paying only football and basketball players will only open up a situation where they will have their asses sued off and have to end up paying everyone anyway. Paying everyone will lead to massive cancellations of a lot of non-revenue sports programs.

Why the hell would anyone want Orton? Say what you want about Fitz, he's better than Orton. And I don't want to pay a second round pick for a backup QB.

Money isn't everything. Some players would rather go to teams where they might catch a few balls.

If you're Bo Scaife why come here? What's the upside? You'll probably just become a junior tackle considering how much the offensive line needs help blocking. That position wouldn't appeal to me.

The bottom line is there are 12 players on the field that decide a majority of any given football game. Those are the front 7 of the defense and the 5 offensive linemen. Everything begins and ends with them. Of this group OT and DE are the hardest to find true talent. If you have a high pick you go for one of those and hope you didn't pick Mike Williams.

I'm sure if it were at all feasible in the NFL, Dick Jauron would have run it.

In that scenario I'd rather they go offensive line. If the Bills draft pick is below 270 lbs. I will be disappointed.

I am totally with you on this. You might want to relax the cursing at people you don't know, some people take real exception to it, but stuff like this is great. But this guy didn't do that. He took it upon himself to hit someone for his perception of their disobedience of the guidelines. I'm not for throwing the guy in jail or for this kid winning the inevitable lawsuit, but you simply can't condone people going around hitting strangers for no reason.

The difference maker that this secondary needs is a defensive line that can get to the quarterback, plain and simple. Make it so that these DBs don't have to cover guys all day long and you'll see a remarkable improvement in secondary play.

I would hate seeing a WR taken, but I could understand it. Taking a DB would probably make me break my television, so I better be sure to be out of the house when the pick is announced.

I think Cam Newton will make it in the NFL as a QB. I wouldn't totally hate it if the Bills took him in the first round, but I really believe that this team's lines need to be rebuilt. A pick this high could go a long way towards fixing a glaring hole on one of the lines if they choose wisely. Behind a better line, or with a better defense keeping opponents off the field I suspect you'd see enough out of Fitzpatrick to not be upset that the Bills didn't pick a QB high.
