What I don't understand about Newton is why are so many people on his bandwagon. To me he's behind where Tebow was last year and many had Tebow being no more than a third rounder.

What is the obsession on this board with "character" guys? Year after year everyone on here seems to want to bring in players that they can read feel good stories about instead of win football games. As someone else pointed out Newton is far from a "character" guy. I think he also proved last night that he's not a "franchise quarterback" guy either. Just say no to Cam Newton, the guy has disaster written all over him.

If one thing should be evident from this weekend's playoff games it's that a franchise QB is NOT the key piece to the puzzle. You need to become bullies on both sides of the ball and THEN you go take care of your skill positions. Watching the games this weekend one thing that stood out to me is how anemic the Bills look when compared to linemen and LBs on these playoff teams. Draft the line early and often and upgrade the heck out of the strength and conditioning program because what the Bills are doing in that regard simply is not working.

I'm pretty sure that happens all the time. There really wouldn't be any practical way to regulate that, so I'm sure the NFL doesn't love it, but can't do anything about it. Besides, the smart GM wouldn't listen to a word an agent says.

Marv is that you? If Fairley is there, and at this point it's a big if you take him and laugh. He is going to be a big mean physical lineman in this league and he's the kind of player you want playing for your team. You mentioned Wilfork. Believe me, if he were a Bill, you'd love him. If Fairley isn't there I'm kind of with you that the others don't really excite me. I'd maybe move down a few spots if it's possible and pick up one of those guys or Carimi.
