  1. I hate the idea of taking a DB in the first round and even I wouldn't hate it if that DB were Claiborne. He is a day one contributor. Unfortunately, as others have pointed out, he won't be there at 10.
  2. I was hoping for him to get a few wins and sneak into maybe a bronze medal, but he surprised us all and went 4-0 to win the gold. Those of you at the season opener tailgate he was the kid that helped draw the raffle tickets. Well thanks for letting a proud dad gloat a little bit.
  3. I played the same position. Hurting someone never entered my thoughts. Knocking down and humiliating them, sure. But I never consciously thought about hurting them.
  4. A third and a fourth is a stiff price for one of the best Bills draft picks of the past decade?
  5. If I thought it could actually happen I'd have no problem pulling the trigger on that. More than likely the Rams would want multiple 1st rounders though. That I'd be reluctant to do.
  6. In my opinion Tannehill would be a huge mistake at 10.
  7. Paid 3.55 in Chesapeake, VA today.
  8. A lot of people have a bias against comic books based on what they remember comic books being when they were kids. I knew a guy with the same attitude as you about comic books, he is a psychiatrist, so he really looked down his nose at comic books as being something well beneath his intellect. After much convincing I got him to agree to read Watchmen and the first trade in the Sandman series. When he returned the books to me he apologized and said he had no idea how deep and artistic comic books could be. He said for years he looked down on me for reading comics, but didn't realize that stuff like that was being made. He is not a regular comics reader by any stretch of the imagination, but will from time to time take a suggestion of mine and sit down with it. So anyway, if you ever decide to change your mind http://www.amazon.com/Walking-Dead-Vol-Days-Gone/dp/1582406723/ref=sr_1_12?ie=UTF8&qid=1330017527&sr=8-12 . It's only 10 bucks. I think it's worth the risk that you might like it.
  9. Why? They're actually really good. Better than the TV series.
  10. It depends. If you're going to cut him just to have extra cap room that will just sit in Ralph's pocket then I say keep him. If there is a plan for that money that could make the team better then I think they could live without him. Ultimately I voted to keep him because I think he provides good depth at a position you can never have enough at.
  11. Troll 2. No movie can top this movie for the amount of sheer WTF moments.
  12. When I was a kid the most important thing in my world was making sure i was home every afternoon so that I could see Starblazers. It probably was instrumental in my love of serial television. My contribution to the thread is the BBC's latest adaptation of Sherlock Holmes called Sherlock. That is an excellent series. I'm not a Sherlock Holmes fan, but found it a great time and devoured the few episodes of the first series rather quickly. Edit: I guess my suggestion wasn't original. I hadn't read the full thread before posting. Oh well. It's a great series though.
  13. You make a good point. Nobody seems to be working on anything. Considering they're on a farm there doesn't seem to be any agriculture going on. The good news for everyone sick of the farm is that I think the farm will soon be left behind.
  14. This exact scenario happened to me when I was a kid. Minus the nosy security guard and the criminal charges against my Mom. I had no idea my parents were criminals all these years. Being punished like this was totally effective in my case. I never had another discipline problem in school.
  15. I'm surprised stuff like this doesn't happen more often. I know if I suddenly had enough money to be financially set for the rest of my life that I'd have a hard time getting up in the morning and putting in the work necessary.
  16. The premise of that show was awesome. The execution of the show was too much CBS. It would have been awesome to see it on a network that would have appreciated what they had on their hands.
  17. At this point I don't think anything from the comic book can be considered a spoiler for the show. They are that different at this point.
  18. I don't really understand why they can't sign SJ and one of those top FA, but I really think signing SJ has to be the top priority. Taking him out of this offense makes the offense worse. Now could they replace him with someone like VJ and end up with maybe even a better offense? Perhaps, but why take the chance? Build on top of what you already have. The Bills will never grow depth if they keep poking holes in their roster.
  19. I'm not really crazy about the idea of a 6'1" DE. The arms like twigs statement doesn't warm my heart either. The comment about his explosiveness brings me memories of Maybin.
  20. I agree. I believe that the gap between elite defensive linemen and average starting defensive linemen is much larger than at cornerback. I also believe that the defensive line has a greater impact on the game. If I were building a team defensive line is where I would start.
  21. This guy is way too into his daughter's Facebook. He also seems to really enjoy grounding his daughter. Of course she was being a spoiled brat by posting that, but his "punishment" was way over the top. On a side note does anyone else not buy his story about how rough his life was? He says he lived on his own at 15, went to college while in high school, worked two jobs , and was a volunteer fireman. I suppose it's possible, but I seems like he's really padding his resume.
  22. Even if it means taking the Bills out of the market for a pass rusher or a WR in free agency? We know the Bills are only going to pony up so much money, is this where you would have them spend it?
  23. Guard is among the easiest positions in the NFL to fill. That is why teams do not draft a guard high in the draft. That is why taking a guard at 10 is crazy talk. Especially when the Bills already have two starting quality guards. It would be a better pick than guard at #10.
