  1. Decided to give it a shot and powered through the first three episodes. I'm hooked. I was reluctant at first to give it a try because I think TV needs another police procedural like I need a hole in my head. I guess the difference is when it's done correctly it can be enjoyable despite the over saturation of the genre.
  2. Played paintball for the first time. I had a blast, but I'm sore as can be right now.
  3. I'd be all for Benjamin with the second pick, but I don't think he'll be there. As far as Stevie goes, he's not going anywhere. Threads saying otherwise are tiresome.
  4. I'm so over the "trade everyone that's good" crowd on this board. I have faith that Jim Schwartz can figure out a way to use a guy that got 10 sacks last year. Why would you want to give Pettine another piece to use? Cleveland is a prime competitor with the Bills as a team to break through and get a wild card. I don't want to make our team worse and theirs better. I don't care how many 4th round draft picks you throw at me.
  5. Wish I knew what to say to you. Be strong for your kids. My heart goes out to all of you.
  6. Why is it that every player that is worth a damn on the Bills is fodder for this type of "Should we trade such and such" sort of thread? Do other teams fans go through this type of ritual or is this a special kind of madness only Bills fans have. Where a guy that would be addition by subtraction would be good enough to garner interest from other teams in a trade. If he sucks so bad why would anyone want him? And if he doesn't suck why would we want to let him go? It's not like we are so scary stacked at WR that we can just get rid of a veteran player like this. As far as cap savings go, what exactly are we saving besides Ralph Wilson some money? They never get anywhere near the cap anyway, so what's the point of being so frugal? If anything they need to watch out for the salary floor.
  7. For some reason the Home Run Forward Pass hurts me more.
  8. I hope the coach thanked the other team as well during his interview and the news just cut out his mention.
  9. Sorry to hear that news. That's a scenario that I have a hard time imagining. My heart truly goes out to you as you struggle through this. I hope that you have some great people in your life that you can rely on. I'm hoping for the best for you and your wife.
  10. Can we just give Jim Schwartz the benefit of the doubt that he can figure out a way to use a guy that racked up 10 sacks? It might not fit with the scheme Schwartz has typically run, but to me it's a mark of a great coach that can adapt to current situations rather than slavishly following his past trends.
  11. In fairness to Travaris, he really was jerked around by the organization.
  12. I agree that the defense needs improvement as well, but the focus might not need to be on Kiko. Certainly it's not the position of biggest need on the team. At least one person that might know a little something about MLBs agrees with me. http://bills.buffalonews.com/2014/01/29/brian-urlacher-kiko-alonso-everything-want-middle-linebacker/
  13. Even if it's not his ideal position, Kiko at MLB makes the position so far from the team's biggest need that it's not really worth discussing. In my opinion if you want to start putting missing pieces in you have to look on the offensive side of the ball.
  14. Mark me down in the group that would rather have Incognito back. They never should have let him leave.
  15. You can't blame the Saints for trying, but to me it's pretty clear cut that if he lined up as a WR for 67% of the plays, then he should be a WR for the purposes of the franchise tag.
  16. So he's an actual coordinator instead of a one trick pony. I hope so. We have had too much of the latter in the past decade and a half. To me a real coordinator would just say "Go out and get me some football players and I'll figure out what to do with them."
  17. I don't think he sucked as a head coach. He took an 0-16 team the year before he got there to the playoffs. Sure they underachieved the next two seasons, but how much of that is on the head coach? There are a lot of factors going into that.
  18. I'm on board with this. Not a typical Buffalo Bills hire. He might even turn out to be a bit of an upgrade over Pettine.
  19. Exactly. My guess is it's going to be Jeff Hafley. Why? Because it's a Bills thing to do.
  20. That's the worst case scenario. Maybe he feels like he can win with that roster.
  21. What an !@#$. To put some innocent guy through 5 years of BS over something so trivial is just astounding.
  22. And how would he be in a bad position if that happened. He'd be sitting on a bunch of guaranteed money and then when that ran out he'd likely be able to go back to being a DC somewhere. It's a pretty no-lose situation.
  23. It's going to end up being Jeff Hafley.
