  1. That's really a good idea. I suspect stubborn pride will prevent it from ever happening, but I suspect that franchise would flourish.
  2. Reminds me of the Steelers game last year. That made me sick to my stomach to see so many of those ass rags waving around Ralph Wilson stadium.
  3. To me there's a major flaw in that type of approach. The non-football fans don't CARE. You could put anybody on the halftime, pre-game, or whatever show and the soccer moms aren't going to watch. You have an audience. Appeal to them and make them stronger. That's the real reason why their ratings have been slipping. Because even football fans are turned off by the nonsense.
  4. Who the hell dreamed up this anyway? It's not JUST that country music sucks, but ANY song played week after week like that would get old. I guess that's their attempt to connect to the young demographic. No wonder MNF is leaving ABC.
  5. Not to be one of those snooty "I don't watch much television" people, but I don't really. The only shows that I absolutely make sure I don't miss are Lost and Survivor. In that order.
  6. The Raiders Offensive coordinator should be fired. His whole gameplan seemed to consist of chucking the ball up 40 yards and hoping Randy Moss could catch it. Meanwhile there was all kinds of opportunities underneath. Collins just got Bledsoe disease and locked on Randy Moss practically every play. Oh and Lamont Jordan looked terrible. He must not have known the way to the Raiders weight room.
  7. I pray for the day JetBlue comes to Norfolk.
  8. My best memory of BBC coverage came during the advance on Baghdad. They had a reporter at the Baghdad airport that was swearing up and down that it wasn't possible that American troops were closing in on the city and that it must just be American propaganda. Twelve hours later American troops completely controlled the airport. So that's the kind of reporting I've come to expect from the BBC.
  9. Why does everyone get so bent out of shape when someone asks a question? Of course it's old news to most of us, but if the guy doesn't know he doesn't know. If you don't want to be bothered answering the question then don't read the thread.
  10. No matter what ends up happening with the franchise this is simply the wrong time for them to be discussing this.
  11. Clarett blew his chance at the NFL with his B.S. attitude in Bronco camp. Of course he'll most likely blame it on his lawsuit against the NFL, but the reality is the guy was out of shape and not mentally tough enough to compete. Too bad because he had a lot of natural talent to start with.
  12. For the record Wire is only half white.
  13. Bad day in the Lekkerkerker household I guess.
  14. They'll probably never realize it. If the past 5 years haven't convinced them I shudder to think what it would take to get them to come around.
  15. OK, so there are 30 teams in the NHL, 58 games televised on OLN or 116 opportunities for an NHL team to be one of the participants in this game and the Sabres are on.......twice. Or about half of what you would expect them to be on if OLN distributed the appearances evenly.
  16. I think the situation will begin to stablize by then and she'd do a lot of good for some people that really need it down there. I also think they'll probably keep these volunteers pretty well guarded. So put your mind at ease.
  17. I guess I totally misread this poll as well. Oh well my answer is still no, but for different reasons. I think Bledsoe cashed them in in the Pittsburgh game. He had nothing left here. There was no option for the Bills, they had to get rid of him. Whether or not he can find some gas in the tank in Dallas who the hell knows, but I doubt it.
  18. As much as I'd like to see it I think they're still not there yet.
  19. When I heard about the sniper fire on the hospital that's what I thought of. If anything I think it proves that there may have been an overestimation in the media of the proliferation of Al Quaeda sleeper cells in the U.S. This would indeed be the ideal time for them to strike.
  20. Whether or not the Bills would hypothetically win more games with Holcomb as the QB or not I believe it is best to have Losman as the starter and taking his lumps. Hopefully he will blossom under fire and become the franchise QB that the Bills have been looking for since Kelly retired. I think the potential rewards, a future franchise QB, outweigh the risks, a couple of more regular season wins under Holcomb. Holcomb was a great addition to the team as a veteran backup QB. Let's just leave it at that.
