The problem is that in this division there is still a chance that the Bills can back into the playoffs. I don't think that is likely, but the possibility is keeping Losman on the bench. I thought Holcomb played a good game this week, but I think you're right in your assessment that he will never be a top notch NFL QB.

I don't think you need to have 24 teams. I think 8 teams is the ideal number. Start the playoffs around Christmas time and you'd have the playoffs done in plenty of time. I think 8 teams because usually anyone that has any kind of argument for a National Championship wouldn't be ranked lower than 8. I don't think any automatic bids, just BCS rankings. The venues could be at current locations for BCS bowls and there could be other bowl games for teams that don't get into the playoffs. I really don't understand why the NCAA doesn't do this. No argument that I have seen for keeping the current system leads me to believe that a playoff shouldn't or couldn't be done. Imagine the excitement that would surround these playoffs.

I understand where you're coming from with this. It's almost as if you'd rather they just go 3-13 instead of 7-9 or 8-8 and just miss the playoffs again. I know that's not the "proper fan" way to look at things, but sometimes it's the way I feel. I don't know what this team needs to get over the hump, but I really wish they could figure it out and get there already.

That's too bad for Mawae and the Jets. I don't like seeing anyone go down to injury. A lot of careers end or are blunted this way.

I used to be. When I was in high school and college it seemed like almost all I was interested in. But as I got older and responsibility started creeping in it got less and less important in my life. My interest in sports also seemed to wain as the Bills and Notre Dame, my two favorite teams, became less successful. I guess some would call me a bandwagon fan for that, but it's just hard to maintain a diehard level of devotion when you're constantly disappointed.

I love that beer. Anytime I'm driving up to Buffalo from VA I am sure to stop in at St. Marys and pick up a case or two.

When I was in elementary school we got some roofing nails from a construction site nearby and put them in the street reasoning that if the bus got a flat tire we wouldn't have to go to school. Well as you can imagine someone snitched on us and we got suspended from the bus for two weeks. The other kids' parents drove them to and picked them up from school every day, but my parents made me walk back and forth every day. I think it probably taught me a valuable lesson because I was never in trouble in school again and I'm glad they didn't give me the easy way out on that one.

It seems like Hollywood and the entertainment industry won't be happy until they have chased away ALL of their fans. Good riddence I'll just read books and browse the internet.

I've been out there a few times. It's a nice place if you're looking for mountains and trees. If you're looking for anything else you might be a little disappointed, but I'm sure you ahve an idead of what you're getting into.
