  1. I've never understood people that seek to erase the identity of other people's culture simply because they don't share them and don't want to feel excluded. When I lived in Thailand I didn't have a problem being reminded of the Buddhist holidays and even took part in some of them even though it wasn't my religion. I'm no longer Christian, but I still love to know that CHRISTMAS is right around the corner.
  2. Well I wasn't the one that brought it up in the first place. I usually don't point out other peoples' typing mistakes. I was just clarifying it. OK I'll take that bet. Can you provide something that backs up your side? http://education.yahoo.com/reference/dictionary/entry/fore I believe its roots are in the root fore as in forewarning. It's yelled to let someone know that a ball is coming close to hitting them so that they can get out of the way.
  3. I really want to see the Bills pull out all the stops in this game. With nothing to lose and everything to gain you gotta throw the conservative play book out and go out there and get the job done. If they were to manage a victory somehow it'd be some great positive momentum to carry on for the rest of this year and probably even next season. Having said all that I don't think it will happen, but I can always hope.
  4. That's kind of what I've been thinking is happening. Maybe next year if they can improve the blocking and give defenses something more to think about in terms of short and long passes we'll finally start seeing some results out of Losman. One can only hope.
  5. Right, that's what I found interesting about the whole thing. That such a big guy could be supported by such tiny feet. There's bound to be problems.
  6. I heard a weird thing about Leftwich the other day on Sirius NFL. He's 6'4" and has size 8 shoes. The speculation is that those dainty feet are part of the reason he has so much trouble with his ankle.
  7. I think it's the only movie that I've ever seen that I really felt like turning around and seeing it again as soon as I left the theater. Unfortunately it was sold out, so that bit of lunacy didn't happen, but I had the thought.
  8. 23 pages it takes to say "I don't know who's going to win either."
  9. Ralph was going to do it, but his Taurus broke down on his way there. He still could have made it, but he spent the rest of the afternoon calling multiple towing services haggling over the price of the tow.
  10. Where do you get this from? If I'm the A hole fine, but there's no mention of that in the article. Besides I am 100% for charity, but not to the point where you yourself must rely on charity down the road.
  11. So he's broke now? What the hell do these guys DO with this money? You'd think a goat herder could figure out a way to hold on to some of it instead of spending it all on rims and cell phones.
  12. I don't think there's any amount of money that would bring Peppers to Buffalo.
  13. In that unlikely scenario of Carolina letting Peppers test the waters of free agency which would you rather spend the money on? Peppers or retaining Clements and picking up another average free agent player? I know which I'd pick. I guess it's OK to daydream.
  14. I guess if "getting fired up" is the only standard to judge a coach Wilson ought to be throwing a bunch of money at Deion Sanders of Michael Irvin to come coach the Bills.
  15. Exactly. Give me a good defensive line and it won't matter who plays linebacker. The smart money is invested in the line not in positions that always have decent players floating around for cheap prices.
  16. Really? How many Bills games have you attended? Because I almost can't think of a time when I HAVEN'T seen a fight or two.
  17. Wish there was a way I could collect that. I made the vow to quit leaving my Dad's hospital room after he had a heart attack. I don't want my son to have to do the same for me because I couldn't stop smoking.
  18. Used to smoke Marlboros. I recently quit for the second time in my life. This time I'm doing it for good. I'm done with that crap.
  19. Yeah I mean how much business would a Cannes or a Sundance do on a weekend at the local cineplex? I would suspect a lot just on the names alone. I seriously hope someone is working on this idea because I'd love to start going to events like this.
  20. My buddy told me about this. I love the idea and hope it spreads to other genres of cinema. I like the idea that I'll be able to see films in the theater that normally I wouldn't have an opportunity to. Imagine a film festival like Sundance that decided to go international and show certain films at theaters all over the world simultaneously instead of simply in one location for a bunch of film snobs.
