  1. I don't agree. The hit was clean, but inappropriate for a "Pro-Bowl" and how can you not say he was showboating when he hopped up and proceeded to dance around for minutes afterwards?
  2. Unfortunately it looks like it'll miss Virginia. Pity. I would have liked some snow this year.
  3. I doubt it. Most people here are fairly even in their condemation of showboating and cheap shots.
  4. Prioritization man. You can't be great everywhere, but if you're great on the line it will go a long way towards making up for weaknesses in other positions. As far as schemes go I'm not a big fan of trying to find players to fit a scheme. Get the best, most physically gifted players on the field and THEN find a scheme that works.
  5. I really don't understand why people are enamored with the LB position. Defensive LINES make a good defense. If you have a big, powerful, competant, line you can fill in the blanks at LB.
  6. He was by no means the first either. http://www.blackathlete.net/artman/publish...cle_01018.shtml
  7. So they've dusted off that old article again this year. Must be Super Bowl time.
  8. Sorry to hear that. Condolences to you and your family.
  9. Ticketmaster is single handedly ruining my interest in going to see live music. It just pisses me off to have to pay such a large service charge to them.

  11. Thanks for the positive thoughts and nice replies. My Dad pulled through the surgery and I was able to see him early this evening. He was in a lot of pain and felt nauseous, but I think he'll be fine. Luckily they found that the cancer hasn't spread. He's resting now and will be in the hospital for another 3-4 days.
  12. That's sad. I don't know what the answer is, but it's too bad that those kids have such low self-esteem.
  13. He's going in tomorrow to get a cancerous tumor removed from his lone functioning kidney. Should be OK, but it'll be a 5+ hour prodedure and he had recent heart surgery so you never can tell. He's a big time Bills fan and I hope that I will once again get to watch a Bills game with him some day. So if you believe in prayer and have a few extra seconds to spare a thought for him I'd appreciate it.
  14. One thing I hope that Ralph understands is that fielding a winner is the surest way to ensure Buffalo's continued success. You don't even have to have a winning record every year, but there needs to be the perception among fans that things are moving in the right direction and good times are either here or on the way. The past decade has been one of declining morale because the team seems to be stuck in neutral at a below .500 level. I don't think Ralph can be fully blamed for this because he did open his wallet, but there might have been times where if he'd opened it a bit further he could have pulled the team out of its funk. Such as by paying a decent coach and staff instead of trying to make do with Mike Mularkey. That being said I'm not sure if it's in the Bills' best interest to spend so much on Clements. I am not convinced that CB is that crucial in the NFL. I'd much rather have a top flight front four that can get some pressure on a QB and thereby need less talent at CB.
  15. A) It's a promotion B) Sometimes you have to leave the environment that you're comfortable in order to truly flourish.
  16. That was a good episode. I really liked the part where he went into the underground. Also, I was dying for a Voodoo doughnut.
  17. Hey I'm no pro scout, and I suspect you aren't either. But I like what I see from Lynch. I have only seen him play a couple of times, but based on draft history I'd bet pouring over films and over-analyzing measureables don't equate to better guesses. I'm not a big lover of stats, but the guy has some impressive numbers. Seems like he can be a receiving threat out of the backfield and knows how to hang on to the ball. I'll trust the Bills know what they're doing and have a plan to fill what holes they can in free agency and continue building a great core through the draft.
  18. And if his name is Lynch? And his position is RB? Suffice to say I agree with you on the Bills having many holes to fill, but I don't agree that it necessitates that you pass up rare talent in favor of need.
  19. Well this weekend I went "snow" tubing in 70 degree weather at Massanutten ski resort, so I'm not really sure if anecdotal evidence is relevant to the debate.
  20. Buy the 360 and the Wii. The 360 for the hardcore games and Wii for the fun ones. I played a Wii this weekend, man was it fun.
  21. Hopefully that extra $160 will go for re-signing Clements. If this new job continues to go as well as it has been I'm thinking about joining you as a season ticket holder. At a minimum I'll be to a game or two this year.
  22. Krung Thep actually. Or if you prefer its full name Krungthep Mahanakhon Amonrattanakosin Mahintharayutthaya Mahadilokphop Noppharatratchathani Burirom-udomratchaniwet Mahasathan Amonphiman Awatansathit Sakkathattiya Witsanu Kamprasit.
  23. Not if their names are Johnson or Peterson it wouldn't.
  24. LBs are much easier to come by than linemen. I would throw my TV out the window if they passed up Branch to draft an LB.
  25. Won't SOMEBODY think of the grandchildren?!?!? Seriously, why does this keep coming up in this thread? Why do I care what the QB of Boise State is going to tell his grandchildren? I want a playoff so that I can tell MY grandchildren about how we used to have to argue every year about "what ifs" and "shoulda beens" before the NCAA finally caved and gave us a true championship.
