If peterman starts what’s the point of keeping AJ
boater replied to *******'s topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Peterman can float a good ball to the sidelines, which looks good in pre-season play against a vanilla defense. Play a regular season game, against a tricked out D, and Petermen's skills will fade into nothing. Petermen's ceiling against regular season-D's is low. Allen's ceiling is higher. -
O Line Troubles Start With It's Coach !!
boater replied to T master's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
You can't coach corned beef hash into prime rib. Unless some pretty good OL talent get's cut from other teams next week (very doubtful), it's going to be a disappointing season. -
SI's Andy Benoit: Buffalo Bills 2018 Season Preview
boater replied to 26CornerBlitz's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
That quote is spot on. I just rewatched quarter 1 of the Cleveland game---Cleveland had their way with the OL, hence McCarron's injury. I shudder to think of what will happen to any QB behind that line for four quarters against a starting NFL defense. One thing is for sure, the Bills should keep 3 QB on the roster & practice squad, they are going to need all 3. I found Andy Benoit's article to be uninformed and excessively negative, with the exception of the OL. 8-8 and I'll recover from that. -
Didn't read every post for 10 pages of thread... But you can definitely tell the posters who have dealt with mental health issues, from those lucky enough to have not needed to. I remember a Richie interview with Cowherd. Richie was lucid, coherent and very engaging. Obviously, in hindsight, one of his better days. I thought he had a future in broadcasting. He was that good. Now it's all lost. Very sad.

I call it the Ralph. But Rich Stadium still resonates with me also. I don't remember any controversies from the Rich family--unlike other rich families in WNY.

When did Jags fans become so anti-Bills?
boater replied to Roundybout's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Probably started when the Bills Mafia started a bonfire in their stadium parking lot---then they heckled the fire fighters who responded to put it out. Heckling first responders doing their job is a dick move. -
That pick was all the Receiver's fault.

Why Do the Bills Need a New Stadium ??
boater replied to T master's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
As many posters have stated: pressure for a new stadium comes from other owners looking to boost revenue. It's not about game day experience or other such tripe, it's about money (mostly from suites). Here's the rub: WNY is a small market and will never rake in the revenue the owners desire--new stadium or not. A palace could be built, and revenue will be flat because WNY just doesn't have the economy or population. So then the question becomes: when will the owners pressure Pegs to move the team to a larger more lucrative market? Will Pegs cave to that pressure to move? -
It May Be Time To Think Big With The Bills
boater replied to BuffaloBaumer's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Another reason for optimism: the team President is competent and in control. Way to go K-Pegs! -
Top 10 biggest traitors in Buffalo Bills history
boater replied to greenyellowred's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Nice writeup. I would add the Jim Kelly atoned for his youthful sin of being a dick by returning and becoming the penultimate team player. Could have done without Copyright notice (note: to be legit it has to have a year, as in Copyright 2018). What?? Posted copyrighted material in full on TSW? That's against the TSW terms of service. My favorite city in Canada is Buffalo, NY

Heh. You could take this many ways. I choose to take it as a compliment. -
Yuk yuk yuk. Hilarious. You over state Tom's age by 8 years. Obviously, the Bloodies affect your keyboarding. I'll have what you're having 'cept I want Tito's vodka and Clamato.

Bruce Smith & Chef's Restaurant Spaghetti Parm
boater replied to \GoBillsInDallas/'s topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Thanks OP. That was a good watch. I liked how happy Bruce was through the whole thing. The cameo by Steve Tasker was cool also. -
QB rumors about importance of concussions in choices
boater replied to KingRex's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Doesn't pass the whiff test right there. I'm sure the Bills don't bring anyone into a sensitive meeting without a Non-Disclosure Agreement in place. -
I changed my mind: OJ didn’t do it
boater replied to BringBackFergy's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
They were Isotoner gloves. Isotoners give a really snug fit. Try them sometime. -
It's free here to Amazon Prime customers. I watched it yesterday. It was very good, in a dark kind of way.

The forum software here stress tests well. Handles a good heavy load.

Brandon Beane: The Art of a Deal
boater replied to 26CornerBlitz's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Well that's a concern. To me, Overdorf is the common denominator in a Bills pattern of excessive contract extensions. The fact that Overdorf is the firewall to an incoming trade contract... no warm and fuzzy. -
Related. Warren Buffet, who owns the BN is hiring a company to manage 30 of the newspapers he owns. Warren Buffett Chooses New Path for Newspapers After Lamenting Decline Interestingly, Warren is not subcontracting the management of the BN. That indicates to me that the BN situation is better in comparison to other newspapers. That indicates Warren's confidence in BN management, and Warren Buffett is no idiot.

Implied by the article read as a whole: Sully lost his column because Sully's negative tone did not fit the new business model where most revenue comes from reader subscriptions. The consultants probably made that point very strongly. He was not exactly fired. He just lost his column. Sully is gone by his choice; he accepted the buy out. Admittedly, maybe shaming him into a buyout by killing off his column was the master plan. I wonder what duties they planned for him had he stayed: a new restaurant reviewer? Per the article: the BN was surprised by the number of people taking buy outs. But they stood by their word that buyouts were available to all. Good read from Buffalo Rumbling.

I think I'll pay attention to my kids. I've done that before, it's amazingly fun.
