Ravens and Lamar do not reach contract agreement
boater replied to Steel City Mafia's topic in The Stadium Wall
But you do agree there are stupid owners remaining? I don't think we have run out of Arizona's, Cleveland's, or Denver's. -
More likely, a Generation-Z yells at cloud. Who is OP to tell people how to live their fanhood?
-
I suppose that's possible. How can you tell that you're interviewing the next Sean McVay, or Nick Siriani, or Zac Taylor? I'm sure Cleveland thought they were interviewing the next coaching rock star several times the last decade. So did the Broncos.
-
If you don't like McD, we could invite Rex Ryan back. Or we could hire Lovie Smith. Diss him if that floats your boat. It would be a better thread if you posed viable options.

Example of blind cheer leading: Bills Mafia on Facebook. It's dominated by Karen's and Ken's. Make a negative Bills comment there and you get excoriated.
-
I wouldn't be surprised if Multiple Concussion Man retires for his own health. I know I would. Yeah. If he was in the Cincinnati game, the Bills win.

Why isn't Frazier interviewing for Head Coaching positions?
boater replied to fasteddie's topic in The Stadium Wall
Reading the tea leaves: I think Frazier is staying. They fired the Safeties Coach today ... usually the coordinator is let go before the position coaches. -
Why isn't Frazier interviewing for Head Coaching positions?

It is. It is. Want to hear stories from my job search? -
Funny. We're at 8 pages of who we should hire... like we're playing DC Madden. I see little realization being paid to someone who may actually want to move Buffalo and serve here professionally.

After last night's win, the Sabres are only 3 points away from a playoff spot.

As I stated before for another poster regarding ensconced: Don't be so arrogant as to think a Bflo OC job is all that.
-
Yeah. He's got money in the bank and his kids may be in a school they like and extra-curricular activities that make them happy. He might like his house. His wife might like Indy. Point is: for those who have some bank, which should be Reich, there's more to life than professional decisions.
-
I love Bills Mafia suggestion that no less than Frank Reich should be hired as OC. The sentimentality is cute. Did Reich proponents ever consider for one second that he doesn't want to be OC, or he doesn't want to live in Buffalo? He is after all, comfortably ensconced in Indy. Armchair owners kill me. They think they're playing Madden in owner mode.

Saffold said guys were "exhausted" this week and "out of gas"
boater replied to Einstein's topic in The Stadium Wall
I think the Damar pre-game visit to the locker room had the opposite than desired effect. It sobered them up and chilled out their athletic drive. -
For all the people bemoaning Josh Allen's contract: developments this next off-season are going to make his contract look like a bargain. Baltimore's outrageous resigning of LB Roquan Smith to a gargantuan contract is just a hint of the craziness this off-season will bring.

The thread pattern, here and countless other places. Fan A: stands up for a player, or coach, or team Fan B: places blame and vitriol Sniping ensues. Love this place after a loss. Any loss.

Should we be so lucky.

Poll. Just Give me a thumbs up if... You did an eyeroll everytime Josh went with the long ball today when a checkdown receiver was wide open. We were watching on Spectrum DVR and found an egregious example of this where Cole Beasley was running around frantically wide-open on the 1st down line--and of course Josh unsuccessfully threw the bomb to the end zone.

Bills fans = fantastically loyal and have a huge blind spot regarding their previous stars. Remember how well the second hiring of Marv Levy went?
-
Yes. More posts (in the right places) = good Starting threads when similar ones exist is frowned upon. There are plenty of threads to bash McD and Beane right now.
-
Way to go with your 6th post. Please note: the Post Game thread would have been the more appropriate place to vent this pablum.

I can empathize with why you feel that way, and I guess unwarranted sky high preseason expectations only amplify your pain. For me, it's different. The pain tonight is not much different from the pain I felt when the Bills ended the season 8-8 and just missed the playoffs by one more victory (story of the drought). Dashed dreams when you were so close just suck. I suspect the pain felt by Jacksonville and Giants fans is about the same we're experiencing. I imagine Jets and Pats are in just as much pain for just missing the playoffs by an iota. And I know Dolphins fans are mourning their loss to the Bills. Losing is like "wind chill forecasts" ..it doesn't matter the magnitude, it just sucks no matter which way you experience it. My thesis anyway.
