The Ravens have two players on the injury report, the Bills have 12.

The reason Ravens maybe the most difficult out for the Bills
boater replied to PoundingDog's topic in The Stadium Wall
Derrick Freaking Henry. That's why they are difficult. 6'2" 247 pounds of difficult to stop. 186 yards against the Steelers. That's probably translates to 125 yards against the Bills---and that's when the Bills are playing well. -
Josh Allen's right thumbnail - updates please!
boater replied to MiracleAtRich1393's topic in The Stadium Wall
Maybe they removed the thumbnail after the game. If so, that's no biggie. He won't be able to pick coins up off of the counter for a couple of months. I think he leaves them anyway. -
Amari Cooper, I like him more everyday (ESPN article)
boater replied to RochesterLifer's topic in The Stadium Wall
I remember reading in the off-season that they were going to get a clock management coach. I guess that never happened. -
Which team are you most scared of in the playoffs?
boater replied to margolbe's topic in The Stadium Wall
I'm not scared, that's for teens watching a horror movie. I'm concerned. I'm concerned about the next opponent. This week, I worry about the battle in the trenches. I am also concerned about Bo Nix versus the Bills porous secondary--it is ranked by some at number 17. -
Amari Cooper, I like him more everyday (ESPN article)

McDermott is a very good coach. That he made the playoffs with this no-name roster is quite an achievement. He knows how to handle Gen-Z athletes, so many coaches do not. -
That's what brought Marv Levy back as GM. Those were dark years.

Stadium Construction Discussion (No PSL/Seat selection posts)
boater replied to JÂy RÛßeÒ's topic in The Stadium Wall
Extending the canopy is impossible without massive bucks. The design is what it is and it's too late to make big changes. Wind.... they have incorporated wind control in the design, so we have that. -
I'm relieved the Bills aren't tied to Cooper long term, they have options: They can brush their hands and the end of the season and say "Oh, well" no cap harm. Or, they can offer him the money (doubtful).

That's a positive in my book. Let them be overconfident. Let that overconfidence interfere with their preparations this week.

Did the Bills purposely lose or is New England just plain stupid?
boater replied to HOUSE's topic in The Stadium Wall
Signing White from the practice squad to the active roster was pure genius on the part of Beane. He gave McDermott the tools he needed to blow the game, while making it look like he was trying, a subtle tanking. -
1/5/2025 Week 18 GAMEDAY Bills @ Patriots* Game Day Thread
boater replied to Chandler#81's topic in The Stadium Wall
Will we see Trubisky playing for a half, and White playing for a half. Or will it be one of them for the whole game? -
Remember Daboll publicly reaming Tyrod Taylor when the Giants visited here. I remember him doing that to Allen. That Allen improved when Daboll moved to the booth is no coincidence.

Bills expected to have 2 extra 5th round compensatory picks in 2025
boater replied to Big Turk's topic in The Stadium Wall
Wow, that is the Mother Lode of draft picks. I'm looking forward to the draft. Every GM has their Kaiir Elam moment. In my opinion, looking at the total record, Beane is a Top-10 drafter. -
Some Patriots fans/media are suggesting that they tank and lose Sunday. Maybe their second string against our second string, that would barely be NFL football. It would be like a preseason game. I'd recommend against the tank. Tanking lets a funk into the locker room that is hard to get rid of, e.g. the Sabres.

Does anybody actually have any fond memories of New Year's/NYE?
boater replied to BillsPride12's topic in Off the Wall
It's been years since I made out. Thanks for the memory jogger...making out is now on Boater's list of things to do in 2025. Oh.... TMI, TMI. -
Does anyone feel there is an organized hype-machine pushing Lamar Jackson as MVP? A systematic propaganda campaign? It started after the Houston game. My FB feed and Twitter are bombarded with content comparing Allen and Jackson, and declaring Jackson the winner. It's like the NFL-Media establishment wants Jackson and are lobbying for him. Unless Josh does something spectacular the next two games--it will be Jackson.

Informative article on Burrow’s discontent with the Bengals org
boater replied to dave mcbride's topic in The Stadium Wall
Years ago, I read that the Bengals front office was a skeleton crew, Brown was very cheap in that department. The article insinuated that they took things like Mel Kiper's reports seriously as a tool in their drafting process. Maybe even PFF. Anyway.. it's just what I read years ago. That may not be true today. -

Mack Hollins makes me chuckle. Something about him... He also seems to make 1 big play a game. I wonder what it will be this week.

D stands for done. It counts toward the degree, though you can't survive too many of them. I got one in Corporate Finance.

In a online class.... I had one rip my writing apart. But what made it different was he got personal in the attack. Red Flags went up... luckily it was during the Drop/Add period and I dropped him like a hot rock. He sent me a scathing email after I dropped. In hindsight, his behavior was totally psychotic and I should have reported him. At a well known university... I took a graduate level class on how to conduct surveys. I had high hopes for it. All the adjunct professor talked about was LGBT. She covered very little of the material. She deliberately skipped the mandatory professor feedback survey at the end of the semester. I wrote to the Dean since she didn't do the feedback survey and gave him my opinion. The professor quietly disappeared.

I see lots of memes comparing statistics of Allen and Jackson. They are off the mark. That is not the criteria of the MVP award. The criteria is what player is "most valuable" to their team. Allen took the no-name roster of the Bills to 12-3, he elevated people around him. Jackson took a stout Ravens roster to 10-5 (before yesterday's game). Tyrod Taylor would look good in Baltimore. Allen is more to Bills, than Jackson is to Ravens.
