  1. The NFL could go the NHL route: "He has an upper body injury" "He has a lower body injury"
  2. Reid and Mahomes lightened up their rhetoric on Monday. We'll soon see if that does them any good.
  3. He is 79? I didn't know that. He looks pretty good for his age. I gotta agree though, his broadcasts are on the sleepy side. Must be because he's 79.
  4. Yeah... can Dallas stop Allen from running? Allen ran straight into the line a few times in KC, but his TD run was epic the way he carried tacklers into the end zone: https://www.buffalobills.com/video/bulldozer-josh-allen-carries-tacklers-on-a-six-yard-touchdown-run-bills-at-chief Spy... doesn't use of a spy use up a LB who could otherwise cover a zone or player? It seems to me having a dedicated spy would create mismatches that the offense could exploit. I don't know, spies do seem to work against Josh.
  5. The Dallas game will come down to Joe Brady's performance. He has 5 half's of really good play calling, followed by 1 half of Dorsey-esq performance. Did the Chiefs do something in the second half that Dallas will duplicate and shutdown the offense? Is there now enough tape on Brady that people can prepare for him? Joe: please be creative and unpredictable. PS: I love the new use of James Cook.
  6. I respectfully read the whole thing. Thanks for your viewpoint. I agree with about 2/3 of what you said, I choose not to be argumentative over the rest of it because it would be repetitive of other comments on the board.
  7. Josh Allen has said more than once that Mahomes is a quality person. I will give that endorsement more weight than Mahomes meltdown. I'm an old curmudgeon who doesn't like much of the new music--but I have to admit when the daughter plays Taylor Swift, I don't vomit. But I'm really sick of the Kelce/Swift coverage. The NFL is exploiting Swift because they lack young viewers. Singers should be heard, not seen.
  8. The dude posts an optimistic comment---then gets multiple contrarian comments in return. This board... is it full of negative types, or is it just that a few negative types are very active?
  9. The do or die Cowboys game at home will tell us a lot about Joe Brady. Let's revisit this topic then. Regarding Marcia Brady: for being 67 years old, Maureen McCormick has aged well. Dudes in her age group are lining up.
  10. Yeah, it was a regretful look for him. If you believe Josh Allen--Mahomes is a quality person. I bet if he had a chance to rant all over again, he wouldn't.
  11. It's the second time I have read this theory. I believe it is correct. Reid doesn't want to air dirty laundry, so he sides with Mahomes' as the lessor of two evils.
  12. Well, that's a unique perspective. Yeah. There is some muddy water out there regarding Spain. He was here during the 9/11 speech, and he has said negative things about McD. https://billswire.usatoday.com/2023/11/17/buffalo-bills-quinton-spain-wrong-person-fired-sean-mcdermott-ken-dorsey-nfl/
  13. If I recall correctly: the Bills cut Matt in late August. Being late in the preseason, there were very few punters left on the market. Hence, the desperate Bills ended up with the unwanted Sam Martin. No good deed (cutting Araiza) goes unpunished (signing Martin). The Bills need to find a new punter. I would support them bringing in Araiza given the facts that have emerged from the alleged incident. I know that will never happen.
  14. So I wonder...how does Dunne feel about the KC victory? On one hand, I've heard he is supposedly a Bills fan. In which case he should feel pretty good. On the other hand, the Bills won despite Dunne's hatchet job. The McDermott expose proved to be a non-factor to the players. The four year old 9/11 quote and other interview gotchas didn't sway the needle. Even the resulting Saturday Night Live hit on McDermott was met with meh response. (that show has sucked for decades--since Farley and Spade left) Dunne.. I wonder how many new subscribers he got.
  15. I hate to break it to you: the Bills roster is not very good. The preseason talking heads unrealistic praise for the Bills didn't do fans any favors.
  16. Wow. I slipped on black ice once and cracked my head pretty hard on the pavement. I didn't do anything about it. If it happens again, I am going to the ER.
  17. Beat the Bruins at their home, then lose at home to the .500-ish Canadiens. This team is wildly inconsistent game to game. You never know which Sabres you're going to get. That inconsistency indicates a coaching problem. It's Granato's job to prepare the team and press whatever buttons are needed to get them on the ice ready to play. He's not fulfilling the basics of his job description.
  18. Most private security types are OK. But some, like this Disandro, are over-officious jerks, to steal a phrase from Marv Levy. The dude was way over the line interacting with players on the field. His punishment is very light for the crime. He should be totally suspended for 1 or more games, none of this traveling with the team BS.
  19. I don't get this forum's love for Daboll as Bills HC. He has a unproven record as HC. His OC success could be attributable to luck of the draw--having Josh Allen as QB. At this point in his career, he's a posterboy for the Peter Principle, which is:
  20. Yep. For your jollies, I read your post again. You said: Amok isn't your words, but the bolded passages and your whole post pose McDermott as running amok. I fall back on my original critique of your fuzzy words "from all accounts" and "if allegations are true" and my noting you got the "made him Czar" part wrong.
  21. I look forward to the contrarian feedback from others--people who believe McDermott has run amok with total control of the Bills organization.
  22. The foundation was set in 2017 when both were hired. There isn't even close to enough indicators to suggest that anything has changed since then and that McDermott has morphed into a fully controlling Czar. You do know a "Czar" would run both the coaching side and personnel side? Anyone who thinks that Beane is subordinate to McDermott just isn't paying attention. Or they are seeing just the things that support their world view.
  23. "from all accounts" and "if allegations are true" You are not big on discussing verifiable facts, I see. Not even the "made him czar" comment is verifiable. It is actually refuted: https://www.sportingnews.com/us/nfl/news/new-bills-gm-brandon-beane-press-conference-sean-mcdermott-carolina-panthers/w5dfu8tam8y51jd21selm3spg
  24. Truth. When he was on the sidelines, Daboll used to blow up at Josh Allen. It's no coincidence that Josh's breakout happened when Daboll moved to the booth. And the conniption Daboll had when Tyrod Taylor called the wrong play against the Bills... I thought he was going to have a stroke.
