  1. Dead drunk walking. I wish him the best.
  2. We're doomed. Dooooomed.
  3. http://www.bedbugregistry.com/hotel/NY/Buffalo/Embassy-Suites%25252DBuffalo No reports of bedbugs in the last 4 years. You should be good.
  4. Those pics are perfect example for the "cold and sterile" most of us fear in a downtown stadium.
  5. Rob Riddick, most under-rated. If it was 3rd and short, he got it, each time. EVERYTIME.
  6. Chris Kyle will shoot the opposing QB's eye's out. Ooops... I'm mixing up my memes. RIP.. CK, you done good.
  7. Touche. I'm not aware of a urban palace stadium succeeding financially. Though, some urban planners suggest they do. Buffalo context: take 8 home games, add a few half-attended preseason games, and at best 3 concerts a year--the only way the bonds are paid on the palace stadium is through taxpayer subsidy.
  8. Oakland comes to mind (an old stadium) I don't know of others. When stadium feasibility studies come and go, most of them pan "single team facilities" as unsustainable. I shouldn't have narrowed on MLB.
  9. Bigger than Bass Pro.. I suggest. "Football only" downtown stadiums are failing economically for the tax payers paying their bonds. I dream of the day where a failed downtown stadium adds property tax to my mortgage [sarcasm]. If you can have a NFL team and a MLB team in the stadium, it will succeed financially. Obviously, that's not happening here.
  10. Millenials are 30 years +/- and "the Bern" is in his seventies. Eeeww.
  11. I don't think so. The border crossings (road-wise, and Customs-wise) can barely handle everyday traffic. They could never handle 10,000+ rooms of people going back and forth from NF to OP or downtown. Cool idea, if someone had a trick to make it work.
  12. Searched... didn't find. Video of Hillary barking like a dog. Kind of disturbing. http://www.usatoday.com/story/news/politics/onpolitics/2016/02/16/hillary-clinton-barks-like-dog-breaks-internet/80447162/
  13. That didn't go well for George Costanza. "It was right there!" I second that motion. Let's bring it to a floor vote.
  14. I was at that concert. Epic. If I remember, it was: the Stones, Fleetwood Mac?, Foreigner, Pablo Cruise?
  15. My sense is that people are relieved that there is no rush to action, and there is no misalignment calendar priorities between NYS and the Bills. In the article: 1. Brandon was quoted to the effect of "we are not in a hurry, and we want something sensible for WNY" 2. The Governor was was quoted to the effect of "we're not ready to go there yet" That both sides agree on the slow-go approach is a good thing. The thread also devolved into an Orchard Park v. Downtown discussion. That's OK, it's important to get those opinions out there.
  16. Buffalo has the best restaurants ever...too many to list. I would use Yelp to find some near whatever hotel you pick. I find the Yelp reviews pretty helpful. Also there is a wide variety of national or ethnic restaurants, if you have an interest in a region or country. I usually go Italian, this week I'm going to try and find some German. If you're flying in, there is a really good sandwich shop 1minute off the airport. Charlie the Butcher, at the intersection of Werhle Drive and Cayuga Road. It appears as a shack, but it's really good. You could make that the last stop before you turn in the car.
  17. If the Bills/NYS choose to renovate the Ralph versus build a downtown palace.. that ten acres is extremely valuable, I suggest. If they decide to go downtown... I think those 10 are agricultural value.
  18. Well, your username shows some class, so I won't quibble. My favorite pizzas when in town are La Nova and Picasso's. When traveling, I like Papa Johns because I know what to expect. It's not great. But it is sanitary and not revolting. In desperate conditions.. I ordered Dominos. Don't tell anyone.
  19. Yep! Gillette is a horrible fan experience. I'm thinking of buying season tickets.. they have great resale value to visiting team fans. I think half of the season ticket holders are resellers.. and that's OK with me. It brings in $$ from out of town.
  20. Huh? I never mentioned Tom Brady. But to your Q, I don't like him because he comes across as an arrogant primma donna playboy (dam good QB though).
  21. Harsh... but maybe not inaccurate. The emoticon may be spot on. Frankly, Bflo is in the bottom 5 teams economically. No shame in that. I would vote for any Ralph renovation that keeps it at about the 28th stadium, by national standards. We don't need the excess. But I don't want the Ralph to be the crappiest stadium. That would be bad for the region.
  22. Yeah.. that was funny as ****. 1. like 90% of NFL players, PM did stupid stuff in college (for which he has paid settlements, unlike 85% of NFL players) 2. like 90% of NFL players, PM has allegedly cheated on his wife 3. like 50% of NFL players, he has business investments (I believe his beer comment was spontanious) But since he won the Superbowl and Peter King wants higher ratings.. well here we are. I'm neutral on PM. Don't fall for the media rage game. Pay some attention to your loved ones instead.
  23. LOL. But pumping the "breaks" can be real. Richie Incognito was a break that the Bills pumped. Chip Kelly selling out LeSean was a break the Bills pumped (jury still out on that one, pun intended).
  24. Bingo! You are so correct. And the Bills need to change with the times and accommodate the wimps. Because: Or said another way: If you don't like change, you're going to like not having a team even less. Me, all I ever wanted changed at the Ralph was ... nothing actually, 'cept the W-L record.
