  1. Me too. I smell Slay and the Eagles trying to pull a fast one. That is why Beane putting Slay on the DNR list is so satisfying to me. I hope they keep Slay in a DNR status for the rest of his career (as short as that may be).
  2. I didn't say anything about the Bengals. But since you brought it up, their roster also sucks. It is a QB, 2 WR, and a bunch of JAGS.
  3. Embarking on their longest road trip in 15 years isn't going to help their record in the near term.
  4. If you keep saying that, it's going to happen. Shush. You'd think that being natural turf, the new Highmark passes the new standard already. I mean.. it's grass for goodness sakes. I thought that was the Gold Standard. What are they going to say "Bluegrass is unacceptable, it must be fescue"?
  5. I will say the same -- if -- the Bills beat the Bengals. If the Bills lose to the Bengals, it's because they are not playoff material. Specifically, it is not a playoff roster.
  6. Well, we had to waive what's his name to make room for Slay. So this whole transaction caused the Bills to lose a depth player without replacement.
  7. Because of the risk of peanut allergies. If you make peanut doughnuts in your shop, a person allergic to peanuts can't eat anything from there. If by some chance an allergic person somehow reacted to anything from your shop--you could face a lawsuit. Airlines don't even serve nuts anymore.
  8. Cincinnati may have a poor record (due to missing Burrow for two months), but if they win out--they could win the division. They will be motivated for this game. Which of the bipolar Bills will show up? The one that trounces the competition like the Steelers game? Or the one that folds like a cheap lawn chair? Bills run game is >> Bengals run D, maybe significantly so Bills passing game will be anemic due to injuries Josh will be average, but will not cause any turnovers (his December record is exemplary) Joe Brady was effective last week, and will be again this week. Bengals run game is not great but they face a porous Bills D Joe Burrow will have an average day in poor weather against a slightly improved Bflo secondary. Zac Taylor is no Andy Reid. (that may be a bad analogy, Reid may be average--but elevated by Mahomes) Only because it's a home game, do I think the Bills will eek out a narrow victory. Burrows win streak against the Bills will come to an end.
  9. That's a lot of wishing.
  10. With him being inactive last week and stories of him being washed, it doesn't sound like he would stay on the active roster.
  11. Practice squad placement and NY taxes are strong demotivators.
  12. Four more games, I like to think. There will be some upsets in the playoffs--a wildcard is going to knock off a division champ. That wildcard will be seeded lower than the Bills and bingo: home playoff game. With this topsy-turvy season, it can happen.
  13. Which is ironic, because all season long McDermott has been preaching for consistency in everything that they do. So far, I'd say that is a fail. McD:
  14. Holy Kielbasa Batman. These things never happen to me.
  15. The problem is: you don't know which Bills will show up. The Bills who manhandled the Chiefs or Panthers--or the Bills who collapsed at Texans/Dolphins. I would score those two versions of the Bills very differently.
