  1. Has anyone ever seen the fake sneak, lateral play that the Bills scored on before? Reminds me of when Marino faked spiking the ball and threw for a touchdown (an original play). With all that goes on in the NFL, I have never seen that... has anyone else??
  2. Watch out for the quiet types that fight through injuries, never complain and are always ready to answer the bell... Marcus Price
  3. Harrington does qb a dink n' dunk offense, but I have seen most of their games and has happy feet and a lack of courage. Alaska Darin pointed out some reasons for Harringtons demise earlier, but how can a qb be a leader when he appears to be afraid?
  4. Good point... thanks.
  5. Being only an hour from Detroit, I semi-follow the Lions when I have exhausted Bills coverage. The Bills really wanted to draft this guy a few years ago. Well, let me tell you first-hand... he stinks. He has no arm and has a distinct lack of courage. He is a complete bust (watch him throw for 300 yards today). Yes, we are saddled with Drew, but this guy would have been no better.
  6. 1. DC Tom... we can have a spelling contest 2. Rico... entertaining poster 3. John from Hemet... seems to be a devout fan with rational thoughts 4. There is a poster who lists himself as a 40 year Bills fan. The name escapes me, but I would enjoy discussing the Bills with someone who has been around as long as I have.
  7. Let me ask you this... if Losman had played and had the exact same day Drew had, how many of you would claim he had a great game and helped us win?
  8. I cannot agree with your statement about being one to two players away. I know you said to put the New England game aside, but how can you? They showed themselves to be a bunch of quitters. Their defensive leader (Fletcher) is a prima donna and very overrated. Posey hasn't shown much. Our two defensive tackles are getting old (although I like some of our second stringers) and our defensive ends are going to be manhandled by good running teams. Our defensive backfield is porous and old. Our placekicker is not the best and where do we start on the offense? I am so disappointed in their lack of heart in the New England game that I have very little respect for the players on this team. Also, who is going to get us the one or two players? Ol' Whitey???????
  9. My mistake... I didn't catch the fire Donahoe part. Great plan!
  10. That is pretty good, but can you see Captain Ego actually doing something like that?
  11. That's an excellent thought but as long as our coach is Donahoe's puppet... ain't going to happen. I understand the logic that no other team wanted Matthews, etc. But he could not play any worse than Drew...
  12. Point taken, but I still feel the D quit... just like everyone else on Sunday. Every team we play will run some behomeths at Schoebel. Our linebackers were nonexistent (I don't know where Fletcher got 11 tackles). Other than an occassional burst from Adams, there was no intensity. When our front 7 plays poorly, our deficiencies in the secondary are glaring. We might continue to do ok against weak teams, but the elite will run over this defense... improved offense or not.
  13. Of course he is a TD puppet... that's why Mr. "Pittsburgh Connection" hired him...
  14. One comment I disagree on involves Clements. I think he has been playing well other than one or two bad (alright, stupid) plays. I would consider him pretty close to a "shutdown corner".
  15. Can't argue with that. They had really "sucked me into" believing they were a quality defense. Yeah, they are a great defense against crappy teams. For over 40 years I have tried to remain optimistic about the Bills... this is the worst I have felt about a team. They were quitters against New England and I can't stomach that. All this supposed talent cannot suck it up when it counts. All we're missing is Harvey Johnson.
  16. Yeah, well I miss Polian too. They are contenders even with a crappy defense. He is a proven top flight GM.
  17. Bill Polian mentored John Butler who mentored A.J. Smith Tom Donahoe mentored himself to be a politician and not a strong GM/President
  18. Hell... we went to the red helmets for Ferguson... what can we do for Drew???
  19. Why not compare our situation to Pittsburgh? Power struggle... Cowher wins, look at them now. Ol Whitey loses... look at us now. We take their offensive coordinator... they support a rookie QB with 7 straight wins, we can't call an offensive game worth a crap We lose out on LeBeau... their defense is stifling, ours plays with no heart or plan. They didn't even adjust to help out our lightweight Schoebel on the sweeps Why not compare... they are doing everything right, we are doing everything wrong thanks to Donadick!
  20. when he punted from the 35 during the first drive (with a "smash mouth" team)
  21. Oh yeah, and who has built a winner in San Diego of all places? Butler protege... AJ Smith. And we've got Ol' Whitey...
  22. And their defense is great with Le Beau!
  23. If the Bills get a couple of turnovers, the game will be competitive. We are playing the world champs, so my pick is based on foolish optimism... Bills 21 Patriots 20 I might as well blindly hope!
  24. I think the biggest difference is that they are playing with confidence, in no small part due to McGahee. On several runs in between the tackles he hits a wall (Travis would be stopped at that point) and bounces outside for a gain. He is also dragging tackelers for extra yards. I am not slamming Travis, but I really think McGahee has helped boost confidence.
